Retired Life

I know a lot of you who reads this..wait..is anybody reading? I have only git one comment so far so it does make me wonder…but as I wuz sayin’, I figure that a lot of you are still on active duty and maybe getting close to retirement and are wondering what do the old retired farts do..well, this is what I do whenever I get the chance.

The pictures are from a fishing trip I took last May to Lake Waurika Olahoma..a big pond in the middle of nowhere and no doubt in my mind the windiest lake in the USA. But it has a lot of fish and especially big Blue Catfish. I brought home a couple of hundred pounds of frozen catfish fillets..good eatin’ kind f catfish especially when rolled in meal and deep fried in peanut oil. I’m gonna have some for lunch to day…

Can’t wait til I can sit back and fish evry day. Figure I’m gonna need to move to the coast though.

I live on the coast of Florida and fish here but I catch the most fish out of the fresh water reservoirs in Oklahoma..Oklahoma has thousands of miles of lake shore line and damn near every one of the lakes are full of fish..everything from several varieties of perch and bass to the big blue and flathead catfish. And the good thing about it, most of the lakes are Corp of Engineer lakes and the campgrounds are reasonable..where we stayed on Lake Waurika it was 36 dollars a week (with the golden age card) and that included electricity and water..hell, I can’t pay my electric bill at home for that during the winter let alone during the fishing months of April and May and Jun..I’m going back next spring!
