The Saturday Claw 4-18-09
How was your Tea Party? It was cold and raining all day in Philadelphia, but that didn’t stop the Party. In spite of the rain, cold, and a lack of big-name speakers, a few hundred patriots took over Love Park. The local ABC and FOX television stations had reports, with the FOX station’s report even including video of The Crawfish getting interviewed. I’ll be attending another rally on Saturday, and will be bringing back-up in the form of two little girls. I hope to file my Tea Party Week report, with pictures, on Sunday afternoon.
The left and the media (but I repeat myself) in America are doing their very best to ignore, marginalize, and demonize the Tea Party movement. The day after the Tea Parties, the Noo Yawk Slimes does have a story with pictures of a protest on their front page, but it was a women’s protest in Afghanistan instead of the Tea Parties. Their columnist Paul Krugman, while stating that the GOP is “crazy”, said that the Tea Parties are “the subject of considerable mockery, and rightly so” proving that he knows nothing about real Americans. CNN’s reporter called it an “anti-government, anti-CNN” since it was “highly promoted by the right-wing conservative network, Fox.” (that comment led to a number of anti-CNN zings by the folks at Fox News) MSNBC repeatedly used a sexual term in describing and mocking the movement. Their parent network, NBC, even mocked the right of Americans to protest. Meanwhile, if people protest in favor of illegal aliens or the perversion of marriage, the media and leftist politicians consider the protests to be extremely important mandates for action.
The liberal politicians even got into the game. His Majesty said that he wasn’t aware of any tea parties and would have his own events that day. Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy called the Tea Party movement “Astroturf,” stating that it was all controlled and run by lobbyists in DC and is made up of a bunch of rich people, instead of being a grassroots movement. A female Democrat Congresscritter from Corruptionois said that the Tea Parties were “despicable” and “shameful” while spouting the Democrat talking points about His Majesty’s plans giving tax cuts to 95% of the people (for over 40% this means an increase in WELFARE, not a tax cut) and that He was creating 3.5 million jobs (by killing the economy???). That same Congresscritter should try calling her own husband “despicable” sine he plead guilty to TAX VIOLATIONS and BANK FRAUD and faces 4 years in prison.
Texas Governor Rick Perry attended THREE of the Tea Parties, showing solidarity with the attendees and even saying that Washington’s attitude could eventually force independent-minded Texans to depart the Union. Governor Perry didn’t do much for the first 6 years or so that he was in office, but he seems to have grown a set and is becoming a LEADER now.
Veteran left wingnut and supposed actress Janeane Garofalo said that the Tea Parties were racist gatherings, that conservatives have brain disorders, and that FOX NEWS goes for the “Klan demographic.” Have ya ever noticed how it is always the left that espouses racist remarks?
Wow, getting the UN to say “STOP! or we’ll say STOP! again!” really did scare the NorKs into complying with the demands of the world community, didn’t it?
Back on the campaign trail….okay, the one from last year, not the one He’s on right now…candidate Obama opposed the Bush Administration and supported habeus corpus rights for detainees overseas and giving them the right to file lawsuits to seek their release. Now that He’s been elected American Idol, er…President, He has decided, AGAIN, that Bush actually knew what he was doing in foreign policy. Hat tip to AllMilitary.com member Anastas for that one.
The President made an economic policy speech this week at Georgetown University, one of the top Catholic universities in the nation. Since He is diametrically opposed to all things Catholic, He made sure that a Catholic symbol of Christ was covered up by the Jesuits before His arrival. If He went to a “Christian” church for those 20+ years, why is he so opposed to Christianity?
The government of the banana republic known as Mexico is upset with Burger King because of ads running in Europe for the “Texican Whopper” burger that has a stereotypical Mexican wrestler character. Would they prefer that the Mexican be portrayed in wet clothes climbing out of a river, climbing over a fence, or running drugs?
Burger King’s ads in the US are also upsetting some parents in the USA with their takeoff on Spongebob’s square backside. The Crawfish and Mrs. Crawfish saw the ad on TV and found them to be more stooooopid than offensive.
Homeland Security Ditz Napolitano doesn’t use the term “terrorist” to describe actual terrorists, but she DOES use that term to describe the people who support US national sovereignty and the Constitution. She thinks Constitutionalists are more of a threat to the USA than the hordes of non-drybacks whose crossings of the border she refuses to do anything about. The report also singles out American military veterans as potential terrorists. Yes, this Administration really respects us…NOT!
So now the question is: will Homeland Security Ditz Napolitano try to arrest Texas Governor Rick Perry, who is reasserting the rights of the state in accordance with the 10th Amendment. The federal government has gone way too far in recent times with its mandates to the states, and Texas will lead the way in putting the Constitution ahead of the desires of the imperialists Reid, P-Lousy, and Obama.
In the report, there is this statement: “A prominent civil rights organization reported in 2006 that ‘large numbers of potentially violent neo-Nazis, skinheads, and other white supremacists are now learning the art of warfare in the [U.S.] armed forces.’” Well, that civil rights group has now been identified. It is the race-based Southern Poverty Law Center, which has called The American Legion a racist hate group which seems to be the opinion of DHS Ditz Napolitano as well.
The American Legion issued its own statement in response to this incredible report.
Another episode of “Folks, I really can’t make this stuff up” comes to us courtesy of racep!mp Al “Tawana Brawley” Sharpton, who actually said on his radio show that the Somali pirates’ self-description of “a voluntary coast guard” was an “apt” description. Put the crackpipe and race card down, Al.
AllMilitary.com columnist Flag Gazer sent me this report about how a prominent university was stereotyping veterans as people to be feared by their instructors/professors, especially if those instructors are anti-war types. Good reporting by Dann Cuellar, who The Crawfish remembers as a young reporter starting his career in Dallas.
Dang! It looks like French President Sarkozy doesn’t find Barack Obama to be really worthy of all the praise heaped upon him, or even worthy of his position, and the Times Online reporter seems to not be an Obama lover, either.
We now have what amounts to a declaration of war from the Somali pirates. Will President Obama take this opportunity to rid the world of their presence?
Previously, I brought you the story of Homeland Security Ditz Napolitano’s agency report calling all of us Constitutionalists and veterans “extremists.” Well, she went on the “Morning Joe” show with Joe Scarborough on MSNBC this week. MSNBC, in a nice bit of media bias, allowed the Administration demand of only one question about that report allowed and no follow-ups to stand. So much for transparency and openness by The Chosen One’s Administration.
Here we go AGAIN! Another of the Barack Obama appointees is under investigation regarding a kickback scheme that involves the Noo Yawk state pension fund. Pay To Play! It’s the Obama way!
Last week a legendary sports broadcaster passed on, and this week another iconic legend in sports broadcasting, NFL Hall of Famer John Madden retired as a broadcaster from NBC Sports. Madden burst upon the scene as a 33 year old head coach for the Oakland Raiders, compiling the best coaching record for a career in league history including a Super Bowl win, but it was his personality that made him a hit nationally, starting with his busting through the screen in ads for Miller Lite, then continuing as a broadcaster and video game icon. Well done, John. Now go home and enjoy your 50th wedding anniversary this fall.
If y’all come across any weird/stoooopid/strange news stories that might be fodder for The Weekly Claw, e-mail them to me at at1aw_usn@yahoo.com and I’ll consider ‘em. Yes, I will give you newshounds credit.

So much going on to get us mad, sad, scared.
Well one bit of news in this week’s column was another punch in the gut. This ex-New Yawker is a retired state employee who gets a pension from that very system with the kick backs scandal.
Shoot! (that’s not the word I wanted to use-it was a 4 letter one)
