A tragic shooting in Iraq by an American Soldier has taken the lives of five Americans.
These are their faces. Two doctors who volunteered to be there to help with stress problems.
Three soldiers who got in the way of the rage of a fellow soldier.

Any loss is tragic, but the pain and questions that come with being killed by a member of your own team are not easy to face.

Our thoughts and prayers are with these five men and their units and families and friends at this most difficult time.

Thank you for posting their photos.
I have always felt that any losses of our deployed troops should never be just a statistic.
I force myself to go to sites like icasualties.org so when I
see names, ages, hometowns, of those killed in action, they are REAL men and women in my mind’s eye. And at least
I can include their names in a prayer I say for them to rest in
peace (and also that God will give their families strength to cope
    with loss).
In this case it was an even more tragic situation then knowing
a loved one died in combat. Can we dare hope the military will
find more effective ways of identifying troubled troops and keep them from harming themselves or others?

Thank you for posting this FG. It is very overwhelming to process, and it brings me to tears. You always do a great job respectfully and honorably drawing attention to our fallen soldiers. I appreciate that very much.
