While the left in America continues to belittle American exceptionalism, we remember that 40 years ago today Neil Armstrong uttered those magical words, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” Is Obama going to apologize for THAT?
Why does Barack Obama despise Israel so much? I mean besides the fact that He is a muslim by birth and wants to help the worldwide Caliphate come to fruition. The Administration is demanding that a housing development in eastern Jerusalem be halted. It seems that the so-called palestinians claim that area as their own. Sorry, but if it is within the borders of Israel, which includes the entire West Bank, Gaza Strip, and Golan Heights, then it belongs to Israel. The Israeli government is rightfully telling The Chosen One to pack sand and go meddle in someone else’s internal affairs.
As long as He is meddling in the affairs of other nations, He might want to reconsider his support for the former President of Honduras. The computers that were seized from Manuel Zelaya’s presidential palace had “official results” from the referendum that never happened already prepared and ready for release. Yes, not only was he voiding the nation’s constitution by attempting to have the referendum, but he was going to cheat on it in order to get the constitution overthrown and himself named President for life. His buddy Hugo Chavez taught him well, and Hugo’s buddy Barack is still backing him. Then again The Claw’s readers already know how much respect The Chosen One has for laws, constitutions, and fair elections.
Why does the US go out of its way to give Geneva Convention rights to illegal combatants and to abide by the Laws of Land Warfare, when our enemies do not abide by those agreements? PFC Bowe Bergdahl was captured by the Taliban last month and is being held for ransom and has been shown on video. Those are violations of the agreements. The Taliban is probably going to kill him, again violating the rules of war. Meanwhile, the Administration is looking to overhaul the prisons that we run in Afghanistan because they have an image problem. Which image is worse? An illegal combatant getting his first bath in a year or an American getting his head sawed off on video?
The clown known as Tax Cheat Timmy got his paw slapped by a Democrat Senator when his Treasury Department tried to hire a cartoonist for their staff. Well, the cartoonist is probably more qualified than Tax Cheat Timmy.
It looks like the opening act is continuing the “AMERICA SUX WORLD TOUR 2009” as Hillary! is over in India apologizing for the US’s role in non-existent Glo-Bull Warming.
Wow! On Monday morning, the Drudge Report had a few links to show where YOUR money is going via the “stimulus” bill. Californication’s 34th Congressional district, which is represented by Lucille Roybal-Allard (Dim-ocrat), is 77% Mexican and gave 74% of its votes to The Chosen One. The payoff is a $2,531,600.00 “stimulus” contract to buy frozen hams from Clougherty Packing Company. Then there’s a contract for $1,191,200.00 for frozen hams from Clougherty Packing Company. Yes, two multimillion dollar contracts for frozen hams from the same company. Minnesota’s 1st district is represented by the Democrat Farmer Labor Party’s Tim Walz (what is the Democrat Farmer Labor Party???). That district gets a contract (it actually goes to a company based in Wisconsin’s 6th district, rep’d by Tom Petri of the GOP) which pays $16,784,272.00 to Lakeside Foods Inc. for canned pork. Is it just me, or is someone looking to have one heck of a pork product picnic on our dime?
The USDA tried to respond to the Drudge Report posts, saying that the hams had been purchased at the bargain price of $1.50/pound to feed those who are having tough times. Drudge responded by posting the weekly ad for Food Lion stores, showing the price of smoked hams at $0.79/pound for shanks and $0.89 for butts. Secretary Vilsack…FAIL!
Wait, there’s more! Ohio’s 11th district, which includes part of Cleveland and is listed as the 4th most Democratic district in the nation outside of the Chicago area, is represented by Marcia Fudge (do I need to ID the party?). That district got a $1,562,568.00 contract to Miceli Dairy Products Company to procure a lot of mozzarella cheese. Minnesota’s 2nd district is represented by retired USMC Colonel John Kline, who is considered one of the most conservative critters in Congress. Somehow, his district got a $5,708,260.00 contract to Bongards’ Creameries to buy some processed cheese product. Yes, these two spending lines, totaling $7,270,828.00 are just for more free cheese for the gummint to give away. How is that stimulating the economy? Oh, I get it now. They needed the cheese to go with the pork products to make ham & cheese sammiches for their picnic. Where’s the $40,000,000.00 contract for bread and $5,000,000.00 for mayo? It’s gotta be in there somewhere!
There is also a contract going to a company in the 18th district of Noo Yawk, which is 67% black, gave 62% of its vote to The Messiah, and is represented by Nita Lowey (Dim-ocrat). The work is happening is the 8th district of Noo Yawk, represented by the formerly 1500 pound Jerry “Where’s the dessert cart?” Nadler. This contract is for $351,807.00 to replace the dumbwaiter at Veterans Contracting Group, Inc. Hey, just because the guy’s an idiot doesn’t mean you have to spend that much to replace him…yes, I do know what a dumbwaiter is, and I don’t see any reason to spend $351,807.00 to replace one at a business that is not a multi-level restaurant. As long as we’re fixing building parts, a DOOR at Dyess AFB in Abilene, TX (19th district, Randy Neugebauer of the GOP), is being fixed by a company in San Antonio (20th district, 67% Mexican, Charlie Gonzalez, Democrat) at the price of a measly $1,444,100.00. Yes, to fix a DOOR costs $1,444,100.00.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has a good way to spend the “stimulus” money. They’ve taken $60,000.00 of it to make signs to show that road projects are being paid for by the “stimulus.” Typical liberal waste of YOUR money. Then there’s a traffic signal installation at Hickam AFB in Honolulu (Hawaii’s 1st district, Neal Abercrombie, Dem) that’s costing the taxpayers a cool $541,119.00.
If you come to our nation and get involved in organized crime activity, you need to be sent back to the hellhole you came from. The Crawfish doesn’t care if you came from Italy, Ireland, Russia, Japan, China, Mexico, El Salvador, Somalia, or any other place. The Minneapolis region has a large Somali refugee population, and while many of those muslims have been recruited to go back into the wild and join terrorist organizations, many have also started criminal gangs. It is time to round ‘em all up and put ‘em on a ship sailing into pirate-infested waters.
It does appear that some of the governors have learned a lesson from the “stimulus” bill. Gov. Sanford of SC tried to reject the “stimulus” being given to his state because of the unfunded mandates in later years that came as part of the deal. His state legislature overruled him, and South Cackalacka will have to shell out millions that their budget won’t cover down the road. Well, the unfunded mandates of the Obamacare bill make the “stimulus” ones look like chump change, so the governors that met with HHS Secretary Kathleen “Taxpayer-Paid Abortions For Everyone, Even In The 9th Month!” Sebelius at the National Governors Association meetings made it clear that they do NOT support the Obamacare plan. This wasn’t just a group of Republicans, either. This was a bi-partisan group, and they weren’t buying the bovine excrement being shoveled their way by Sebelius, Medicare chief Cindy Mann, and White House OMB Director Peter R. Orszag. The Crawfish saw those clowns on the Sunday shows, and they were trying to say that Obamacare would pay for itself, would not produce unfunded mandates, would not limit/ration care, and would be revenue neutral without any tax hikes…in spite of the report by the Congressional Budget Office which said the exact opposite.
The Obamacare bill also includes a provision that would overturn the Hyde Amendment of 1976, which prohibited taxpayer money from paying for abortions. The Baby Killing Party had Senator Mikulski (Maryland) include the language in the bill, and Senators Dodd (CT) and Teddythedrunk (Chappaquiddick) are ramrodding the bill through the Senate. Dodd even said, “We like the idea that people have choices and, indeed, the law of the land permits people to make those choices, and we respect that, and we are going to pursue that.” He followed by saying, “Again, we do not want to discriminate when people have–they have convictions, moral convictions and religious convictions.” Nice try, Senator, but you DO want to discriminate against those of us with religious convictions, and you oppose the overwhelming majority of Americans who say that abortions should NEVER be paid for by the federal government. Quit LYING to us, if you can. I realize that as a Democrat it is part of your genetic code to be a congenital liar, but…
The Baby Killer Party is also the Party of the Illegal Aliens. They voted to shoot down a GOP amendment to the Obamacare bill that would have prevented illegals from getting free healthcare under the Obamacare program. Yes America, your Democratic Party wants to spend YOUR money to give healthcare to those who have violated our national sovereignty and our laws.
Here’s what we can expect from Obamacare. A 20 year old Air Force airman from Texas goes to a gummint hospital for a minimally invasive surgery. The surgery was to remove the gall bladder, which ended up NOT being removed. Because of incompetent government doctors, his LEGS had to be removed instead! Since these are gummint docs in a gummint hospital, the young Texan cannot even sue for malpractice, and neither will you under Obamacare.
Another major blow to the Crrap-And-Tax plan came over the weekend, as India told SecState Hillary! in no uncertain terms that they would NOT be a part of any hare-brained scheme to lower carbon emissions. The Indians know that the whole carbon-limiting idea is not going to significantly change the climate at all, and would wreck their economy even more than it would wreck the American economy.
Maybe Hillary! should take lessons from former Washington Governor Gary Locke. He has parlayed his corruption and conflicts of interest into many trade agreements with China, and now says that China doesn’t need to pay for the carbon emissions emanating from the production of the goods that they sell in the US. The US should pay for those emissions. Michelle (***sigh***) Malkin has the story, along with links to Locke’s history and how the GOP, including one of The Crawfish’s Senators, gave him a complete pass in his confirmation hearings. Infuriating, to say the least.
While the 40th anniversary of Apollo 11 was being observed all weekend, another 40th anniversary was quietly overlooked by the media. On July 18, 1969, Mary Jo Kopechne was killed by Senator Teddythedrunk on Chappaquiddick Island. How he was never sent to prison is one of the biggest scandals in American political history, but is quite typical of the Democratic Party.
Townhall commenter “R E” gets a tip of the hat for giving us a link to a story about a prominent psychiatrist who has studied the liberal mindset. While y’all won’t be surprised at the findings, ya might at least find it amusing.
We leave you with an uplifting story sent to The Claw by Townhall blogger “dawndawn“. This young man definitely showed that he is on his way to being one fine American. I’m sure his parents are proud, and we should thank THEM for bringing him up right!
