We’ve got a full plate for this edition of The Claw, and I’m pretty sure y’all know what the top story of the week has been. Tuck that napkin into your collar and grab your knife and fork. Let’s dig in!

Teddythedrunk (D-Chappaquiddick) is dead. Liberals and the media, but I repeat myself, are lauding him as a patriot, a visionary, the Lion of the Senate, and a great Irish-Catholic. If they were telling the truth, they’d call him an egotistical, lecherous, drunken, elitist, bigoted murderer who hated the US Constitution, US national sovereignty, and eagerly opposed the Catholic Church with his enthusiastic support of abortion on demand, which should have gotten him excommunicated. His dishonesty caused him to be expelled TWICE from Hah-vahd (where his acceptance was paid for…his academic record wasn’t anywhere close to good enough to qualify) for, get this, CHEATING! The United States is better off with him in the ground. As a fellow human being, I extend my sympathies to the family and friends, but that’s as far as I go. I never have understood the fascination of the American people and media to the Kennedy family. Daddy made a lot of his fortune rum-running during Prohibition, then was Ambassador to Great Britain (while opposing the Anglican Church and supporting Hitler). John Kennedy had his Senate seat and then the Presidency bought for him, after becoming a hero for allowing his PT boat to be cut in half by a Japanese destroyer because he wasn’t paying attention to his surroundings. The only honorable one of the boys was Joe Jr., who died in a B-24 Liberator explosion over England in WW2. The second-most honorable of the bunch was Bobby, and that ain’t sayin’ a whole lot. Teddy was just a slimeball. Townhall blogger GunnyG has Teddythedrunk’s life and career detailed quite nicely over at the Anti-Liberal Zone. The burial of The Swimmer will also be a slap in the face to all brave Americans who have fought to uphold and preserve the Constitution of the United States, as it will take place on the hallowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery.

Here’s another example of the high quality health care system that Teddythedrunk wanted to inflict upon us. Oh, it does get worse. A new report from The Patients Association was just released that shows how absolutely horrid the British health care system has gotten.

While the Democrats and the media, but I repeat myself again, have been screeching that the anti-Obamacare protesters have been organized by the GOP and are nothing but Astroturf, Townhall blogger “Third Eye” found conclusive evidence that the PRO-Obamacare protesters are actually the ones being organized, controlled, and and given talking points by the DNC, state Democratic Party organizations, Obama campaign organizations, and the White House. Pass that link around freely!

As if any of The Claw’s readers had any doubt as to ABC and NBC being in bed with the Obama Administration, we now have even more proof. While ABC prostrated itself to run the White House Obamacare infomercial, those two networks are refusing to run an anti-Obamacare advertisement from the League of Women Voters. ABC says that the ad is “partisan” as if their infomercial wasn’t. NBC says the facts of the ad are in question, although that network never has had any problems with the continual lies of all Democrat-funded commercials.

Regular Claw contributor “beachmom” was one of the folks who got the Axelrod e-mail. She was wondering how her e-mail account got on the list, since she never did have any contact with the White House, but she did send e-mails to Democrat Senators Snowe and Collins (okay, TECHNICALLY they are Republicans, but let’s look at reality) and Democrat Representative Pingree. Looks like Michelle (***sigh***) Malkin is on to sumthin’ here.

Believe it or not, but I got the following story from a facebook posting by an Emmy Award winning sportscaster. The article itself comes from the Dallas Observer, which is a local entertainment newspaper. Do we treat athletes with personal failings differently according to their race and/or religion? Well, as human beings we do have natural built-in biases. In many cases we do need to work to rid ourselves of them.

Denis Hughes, Noo Yawk state branch AFL-CIO head union thug, has been nominated to the position of Chairman of the Board for the New York bank of the Federal Reserve. Will someone with some semblance of sanity please tell me why a UNION THUG is on the board of the FED? The guy is a career blue collar worker turned union rep and has exactly ZERO experience as a banker. This is yet another example of the Obama Administration willfully BREAKING THE LAW. But the readers ask, “Crawfish, what do you mean willfully breaking the law?” Well, my friend GunnyG pointed me to the Federal Reserve Act, Section 4, Paragraph 20. The first third of that paragraph reads, “Class C directors shall be appointed by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. They shall have been for at least two years residents of the district for which they are appointed, one of whom shall be designated by said board as chairman of the board of directors of the Federal Reserve bank and as ‘Federal reserve agent.’ He shall be a person of tested banking experience.” The Federal Reserve Act is FEDERAL LAW, so this appointment is a CRIME. Are there any Republicans on Crapitol Hill who have the squirrel food to make this a major media issue? I doubt it. This is yet another case of the UNIONS getting power over Americans because they supported the Community Organizer In Chief in his campaigns.

As long as we’re discussing the Fed, Dennis Lockhart is the chief of the Atlanta Fed, and he’s stating that the unemployment numbers are actually MUCH worse than the Obama Administration is admitting. So how’s that hopeandchange workin’ out for ya?

Here’s a quote from Christina Romer, President Obama’s economic advisor, “This recession was simply worse than the information that we and other forecasters had back in last fall and early this winter.” This comes as the Administration is admitting that all of their projections from a couple of months ago were hopelessly optimistic and not even close to reality. Now The Crawfish seems to remember that during the campaign and the rush to get the “stimulus” bill passed, the Obama Campaign/Administration was saying that the economy was the worst since the Great Depression. Since the current numbers aren’t even as bad as the recession that Reagan inherited (yet), we are forced to declare that either Obama and his peeps were lying during the campaign and the “stimulus” discussions, were lying a couple of months ago, are lying now, have absolutely no clue, or “all of the above.” I’m pretty sure y’all know my answer.

Somehow, I don’t think Representative Parker Griffith (D-alaBAMA!) is on Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy’s Christmas list. Griffith has bucked the Democratic House leadership on numerous issues and says that he will NOT vote to keep her as Speaker of the House. He also has a nice parting shot for her in this article. Maybe we can get him to switch parties.

Even in California there are teachers in some of our schools that do not act as if they are in the teachers’ unions. The Crawfish gives a big salute to Kenneth Santana, a teacher at Hillsdale High in San Mateo, for chasing down and tackling a former student who had set off two pipe bombs in the school, and had 8 more live bombs and a two foot long sword still in his possession.  Mr. Santana gets the traditional Navy “Well Done!”

Janine Barfalo has lost it once again. This time the failed (Sc)Air America host screeched that everybody who is part of the Tea Party Movement or protests against Obamacare is “racist,” “redneck,” and “functionally retarded adults.” She also said that the reason that W was able to steal both the 2000 and 2004 elections was because the media shilled for him and covered up the election fraud. And she says WE are wearing the tin-foil hats! Liberals, where do you come up with such people?  Wherever it is…KEEP IT UP!

Senator James Inhofe (R-Oklahoma is OK) spoke at a town hall event in Chickasha, OK, on Wednesday. He flat-out stated that he will oppose the Obamacare bill. He also noted the mood around the nation regarding a number of issues with the Democrats expanding the scope of government and spending trillions of dollars that the government doesn’t have, saying “We’re almost reaching a revolution in this country.” For a United States Senator to reach the point of saying that, you know this government is in trouble.

Lately, a lot of people have been comparing the USA of our time to fascist Italy or Germany during the rise of the Nazi Party. A much better comparison would be to the Roman Republic as it changed into the Roman Empire.

September 11th is, to all patriotic Americans, a solemn day of reflection, remembrance, and resolve. The Obama Administration wants to change that. They’ve made September 11th a National Day of Service and are turning it into a celebration of all things left-wing. Great.

At least there’s ONE Congresscritter from the GOP who has the intestinal fortitude to call out the Obama Administration and the Affirmative Action Attorney General on the reports that Eric Holder is assigning a special prosecutor to investigate CIA interrogations. Thank you, Peter King, for sticking up for the CIA and the actual words of the Geneva Conventions.

Oh. My. Gawd. The Useless Nations is now issuing a report that calls for sex education, including information on masturbation, for all FIVE YEAR OLDS! The suggested sex education also contains lots of pro-abortion propaganda for pre-teens and early teens. Will someone puh-leeeeeze show me what that has to do with keeping peace between nations and regulating international commerce.

The Crawfish is having a hard time wrapping my head around what I’m about to do. Howard “YEEEAAAARRRRRGHH!” Dean actually gave a VERY good and HONEST answer to a very good question at a town hall event hosted by Representative Jim Moran (D-Virginny). One of the citizens (after getting his identity questioned) asked Moran why tort reform wasn’t part of the bill, since it would produce huge savings and the only folks to lose out would be the eeeeeevillllll rich (okay, I put that part in there) trial lawyers. Moran turned the mic over to Dean, who acknowledged the probable savings but stated that the Democrats simply didn’t want to fight the trial lawyers on that issue. Gotta give the man props for publicly admitting that, even if tort reform really does need to be the first step in any meaningful health care reform.

It has been a long while since The Claw featured anything about the piracy problem in the Somalia region. Well, the situation escalated on Wednesday, as the muslim terrorists (piracy is a form of terrorism) fired a large caliber weapon at a US Navy helicopter. Thankfully, the helo wasn’t hit. When are we going to stop playing around and start turning their bases into smoking holes?

I knew there was some reason for me to surf in to Neal Boortz’s site Thursday morning. Neal had a link to an amazing story. The US Chamber of Commerce wants the EPA to hold public hearings into the science of Glo-Bull Warming, and when the EPA refuses, the Chamber is going to take them to court to get the REAL science settled as a matter of record so that the Crrap-And-Tax bill can be blown out of the water for its false premises.

The Crawfish has figgered out exactly which incident of prisoner abuse by the CIA has gotten the Affirmative Action Attorney General’s thong in a wad. It seems that some of these interrogators were so cruel that they blew cigar smoke into the face of the detainee, thereby exposing him to second hand smoke and possibly shortening his life by 0.001437 microseconds.

Don’t you just know that The Chosen One and the Affirmative Action Attorney General wish that they could handle the opposition in this manner? Then again, The Crawfish wouldn’t put it past them to attempt it.

Eric of The Tygrrrr Express reminded me why I used to enjoy the schtick of Don Rickles. He also takes Teddythedrunk to task.

The case of Jaycee Lee Dugard was resolved this week, with the now-29 year old woman, and her two daughters, being found alive and in captivity 18 years after her abduction by a registered sex offender in California. The details that have been released have The Crawfish simply dumbfounded. I thank God she is alive, but she and her daughters, whose father is the man who abducted their mother, are going to be awfully screwed up for years, if they ever do recover from this. The daughters, ages 15 and 11, have never been to school or had any social interaction. Keep Jaycee, her daughters, her mother, and her stepfather in your prayers. They need all of the help that they can get.
