Okay, Memorial Day weekend is over. The Crawfish is somewhat recovered. There’s lightning in the area, so I’ve gotta get this posted before we get a power hit. Let’s Roll!

The world is condemning Israel for their actions against the terrorist-supporting flotilla, but it was all a set-up by the terrorist groups, the nation that wants to lead the Islamic world like it did from 1453 to the end of WW1 (Turkey), and the leftists of Europe and the United States. The main group organizing the event, International Humanitarian Relief Foundation, is based in Turkey and is a part of the Muslim Brotherhood, one of the main Islamist organizations. Al-Jazeera had a film crew aboard the lead vessel, and they documented the preparations for battle a day before the Israeli actions. The whole exercise was designed to provoke a response from Israel, and that’s just what they got. If these were really “peace activists” like they claimed, then why were they wearing masks and wielding pipes, knives, and firearms when the Israelis attempted to board their vessel? Why did they attack the Israelis with deadly force before the Israelis so much as pointed a single weapon their way? This video shows clearly that the Israelis were NOT firing on the terrorists as they came down the ropes. They were being attacked from the first instant.

While the Obama Administration quickly expressed “regret” over the incident and fully supports the UN’s investigation, which will be run entirely by arabs and other anti-Israel nations, there were actually a few Democrats who saw the incident for what it was and support the Israeli actions.

Here we go again with one of The Crawfish’s pet peeves. Some dumb-bass judge in Connecticut has ruled that two high schools cannot hold their graduation ceremonies in a church because it is an unConstitutional endorsement of religion. Is the school district Congress and is the decision on where to hold the ceremonies a law? If the answer to either question is “NAY”, then the “establishment clause” of the First Amendment, which reads “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”, is not applicable, which means the judge has no clue what she is talking about and is not qualified to be a judge in federal court.

It ain’t just Connecticut this week. There’s a monument in Corruptionois that is eleven stories tall and in need of repair. An atheist is complaining that the repairs would be unConstitutional and is threatening a lawsuit. You see, the monument is a memorial cross, so this MUST be a separation of church and state issue, right? This just proves yet again that liberals not only refuse to read their own bills in Congress, but that none of them have ever really read the Constitution.

This week’s winner of the Golden DUH! Award is British Airways. Somebody’s definitely gonna be unemployed over this gaffe. Actually, probably more than one person, since somebody made the image and somebody else approved it.

A slightly different award, the Golden Bovine Turd Award, goes to Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy, for having the unmitigated gall to say that as a Catholic, she must pursue public policies that are in keeping with the values of Jesus Christ. Just how in the world does support for abortion and opposition to a ban on partial-birth abortions come anywhere close to the values of Jesus Christ? She’s just reminding us that she is a hypocritical liar.

President Obama is going to send 1200 National Guard troops to the border. Well, that is a start in the right direction. Wait…what was that you say? The troops aren’t going there to secure the border against illegal aliens? They’re going there to stop the fictitious flow of guns into Mexico and drugs only into the US? They’re doing the job that Mexican President Calderone requested, and not the job that is required of the federal gummint??? Only in the Era of Obama.

The Crawfish is glad to see that there’s at least one politician who agrees with one of my main ideas regarding illegal immigration. Rand Paul says we shouldn’t be giving citizenship to babies of illegals. Back when I wrote my (only partially tongue in cheek) American Tradition Party Platform 2008, I said that a Constitutional amendment would be required to make this happen. The amendment could be written so simply as to fit right in with the rest of the early amendments, unlike any of today’s bills that are 2000+ pages long and are never read by the people voting upon it. Here’s what it would say, “This Amendment changes the first sentence of Section 1 of Amendment XIV to read ‘All persons naturalized in the United States or born within the United States to parents who are within the United States legally, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.’” I’d be willing to bet that 80% of the American populace would have no problem with that language.

Joe Sestak wasn’t the only Democratic politician offered a job by the Obama Administration in return for avoiding a primary battle that would use up Democratic Party campaign funds. Andrew Romanoff of Colorado also has some ‘fessin’ up to do. Bribery, just another trait of the most transparent administration in history.

Unfortunately for Sanders, he notes that the way to change the Constitution is by THE AMENDMENT PROCESS, not by the whims of liberal judges who want to rule based on their feelings and desires, not what the Constitution actually says.

Well, Mrs. Crawfish is now home so my mental condition is a bit better. A trip to Scarborough Faire has also put me in a better mood. Now let’s see what the past week has given us.

The first of the three military trials for the Navy SEALs who gave a split lip to a terrorist who murdered 4 Blackwater Security personnel is over. Petty Officer First Class Julio Huertas was found not guilty on charges of dereliction of duty and attempting to influence the testimony of another Sailor. Of course, this should never have gone to trial and the tango should have been executed for his crimes on the spot. The next day, Petty Officer Jonathan Keefe was also found not guilty. ‘Tis a good week!

Arizona’s Governor signed the anti-illegal immigrant bill into law on Friday, making it possible for police officers in that state to check to see if people who act like non-drybacks are in fact non-drybacks. The reaction of His Eminence Sultan Bu’raq al Obama was very predictable. He called people who wish to enforce our immigration laws “misguided” and said laws such as the one in Arizona “undermine basic notions of fairness that we cherish as Americans.” Uh…nooooooo….it shows that we cherish living fairly under the law. People who are here legally are welcome, but people who break into our house are not.

The Mexican government acted with outrage at the Arizona bill, with their Senate passing a resolution calling for the legislation’s repeal and their Foreign Ministry issuing a Travel Warning stating “there is a negative political environment for migrant communities and for all Mexican visitors.” So what exactly is the difference between the Arizona law and how Mexico treats foreign visitors and immigrants? Do they allow just anybody to work or live in their country? Of course not! Just ask anybody trying to cross their southern border illegally if they are freely allowed to do so.

“It is absolutely reminiscent of second class status of Jews in Germany prior to World War II when they had to have their papers with them at all times and were subject to routine inspections at the suspicion of being Jewish.” Such are the words of yet another brain-dead Democrat from Colorado. The moron doesn’t seem to understand that non-drybacks don’t even rate second-class citizen status. They are ILLEGALS and have exactly no rights whatsoever! Of course, he also seems to have the typical liberal hard time understanding that Nazis were leftist-statists and their actions mirror those of the Democrats much more than those of people who support the Constitution of the United States.

In response to the new law, non-dryback supporters rioted in Arizona. The Obama Administration immediately asked the rioters if they were, in fact, Tea Party terrorists, since we all know that leftists never riot and Tea Partiers are riot-prone.

Since she opposes the new law in Arizona, Homeland Security Ditz Napolitano was asked if the southern border was secure. She called the question “unfair”, which goes to show that she has no idea what her job is.

On a related note, Mrs. Crawfish pulled down an old bumper sticker from our garage wall when we painted the garage this past weekend. It said “AL GORE IS A RISKY SCHEME!”

So far this year, the City of Chicago has seen over 113 murders. That figure is so high that a couple of State Representatives are calling for the Governor to deploy the National Guard on the streets to quell the violence. Imagine what those guys would do if Chicago had the same murder rates as say…N’awlins, Detrut, or Filthadelphia.

One of The Chosen One’s favorite people, ACORN CEO Bertha Lewis spoke at a meeting of the Young Democrat Socialists, the American youth branch of Socialist International. Not only did the ignorant “community organizer” praise socialism, but she called the Tea Party Movement a “bowel movement” and continued the mantra of all Tea Party groups and all opposition to Obama and the socialists being based upon racism. Sorry, but we are in opposition to the leaches of society, out of control spending, and all things anti-Constitutional. The only reason that this puts us in opposition to most of black America is because most of black America supports being leaches and socialists.

His Majesty King Barack I has been breaking his promises from his campaign at a dizzying pace, but when asked about actually KEEPING some of his promises regarding taxes, he responds that the questioner is playing an “old Washington game.” No, ya jerk, they are wondering if the chief law enforcement officer and executive officer of our nation’s word is worth a warm bucket of spit or if he will lie repeatedly just to get himself and his allies elected.

Goverrnment Motors has pulled an Obama in their latest ad campaign. They are proclaiming their greatness in repaying their bailout money years early, when in reality they paid that “loan” off with other government bailout money. That’s kinda like bragging about paying off your MasterCard, when you used your Discover Card to do it. In other words…a lie.

At least the gummint is doing SOMETHING right this year. One of the stamps coming out this year will honor famed cartoonist and friend of the lowly GI, Bill Mauldin.

Former Corruptionois Guvna Blago’s defense team has asked for President Obama to be subpoenaed for his trial. The subpoena request was supposed to be heavily redacted, but some in the Chicago press found a way to read the redacted parts, and they are quite interesting! If the GOP wins the House this fall, this bit of news could lead to possible impeachment proceedings.

A candidate for the office of Governor in Alabama has it right. Tim James said “This is Alabama; we speak English. If you want to live here, learn it!” He vows to stop administering drivers license tests in languages other than English. That only makes sense, since all traffic signs are in English and the cops, for the most part, also only speak English. Liberals, of course, are beside themselves in anger over this blatant raaaaaaaacism. The Crawfish would go a step further. If I was elected Governor of Texas, all voting ballots would be in English only. Some say that this would be a violation of the Voting Rights Act or equal opportunity, but to vote one must be a citizen, and to become a citizen one must pass an English proficiency exam, and this means that all people who are legal to vote can speak English. Case closed.

Speaking of REAL racism, how come THIS story didn’t make national headlines? When REAL public racism is seen in public, you should note that the person displaying the racism is usually a liberal.

Obama’s Navy Secretary, Ray Mabus, really stepped in it this time. Until now, the amphibious assault ships of the SAN ANTONIO-class have been named after American cities. Mabus has announced that the next ship in that class will be named after now-dead Congresscritter John Murtha. Putting Marines aboard a ship named for Murtha is like putting an all-black crew aboard a ship named for a Grand Wizard of the KKK.

It really is amazing how Supreme Court Justices are too caught up in their lofty status to be able to understand simple phrases in the English language. The first 16 words of the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States read “CONGRESS SHALL MAKE NO LAW (emphasis mine) respecting an establishment of religion; or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”. This week, the Supremes decided that a cross in the Mojave Desert placed as a WW1 war memorial in 1934 is not unConstitutional. The troubling parts of the decision are that this came down to a 5-4 decision and that that none of the Justices seemed to take into account that placing a cross on public property is not the same thing as Congress making a law. Since this had nothing to do with Congress making a law, the First Amendment was never legally a question.

The Weekly Claw 3-23-2010 (a day late)

If any of you had any thoughts that Ah-nahld the Barbarian was a real Republican, this should clear those outta the way. He recently signed California Assembly Bill AB 962, which forbids interstate sales and purchases of ammunition, including internet sales. One of The Crawfish’s fellow bloggers, Brian Baker of Saugus, California, found that this is a completely unConstitutional law, so he went to the California Rifle and Pistol Association, which is basically the NRA’s California branch office, and they told him to start a petition. Huh? Well, Brian told them to pack sand since they couldn’t find their adult pants, and he filed the federal lawsuit himself. Read more about it, including the actual language of his lawsuit, in this post from his blog. I’ll keep y’all up to date on this as Brian updates me.
Compare those actions with this statement from a REAL Governor: “Unfortunately, the health care vote had more to do with expanding socialism on American soil than it does fixing our health care finance and delivery systems. The Obama health care bill undermines patient choice, personal responsibility, medical innovation and fiscal responsibility in America. As passed by the U.S. House, the bill will cost Texas taxpayers billions more, and drive our nation much deeper into debt. Congress’s backroom deals and parliamentary maneuvers undermined the public trust and increased cynicism in our political process. Texas leaders will continue to do everything in our power to fight this federal excess and find ways to protect our families, taxpayers and medical providers from this gross federal overreach.”
Here is yet another blatant example of why the civilian court system should never have a single word to say regarding the terrorists and illegal combatants that we hold in Gitmo. A Clinton-appointed judge has ordered the immediate release of one of the Al Qaeda schmucks who recruited 9-11 cell leader Mohammed Atta. Why would a judge do that? He’s doing it because the illegal combatant was mistreated while in custody. Sorry, idiot, but the Geneva Conventions give exactly no protections to illegal combatants, and neither does our Constitution. As soon as we drained him of his information, we should have executed him.

RJ of Paul Revere’s Riders sent along a number of items since my last column that are definitely Claw-worthy. First comes confirmation that Bart Stupak (D-Meeeechigan) is indeed a prostitute. Within 12 hours of his caving in for Obamacare, Stupak received $726,409.00 for equipment at three airports in his district. He also received an Executive Order from The Chosen One that prohibits public funding for abortions, but as we all know, such an Executive Order is less than useless. It expires when Obama leaves office, and that will probably be before Obamacare actually does anything except raise taxes (remember that none of the programs in the bill get started until 2014), and Executive Orders are meaningless if the law says something different, and the Senate Obamacare bill requires abortion coverage in plans that people get federal grants to purchase. Of course, Stupak was lying all along when he said that he would vote against Obamacare unless he got provisions added that preclude taxpayer funding for abortion. As this video shows, that provision never was a deal maker/breaker for him. He was going to vote for the bill no matter what.

Wait a sec…back up to the airport deal. Didn’t Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy say in her victory speech, “No money changed hands, of course”?????? Can she actually go 15 minutes without lying?

RJ also got a message from Obama after the vote. Only read it if you wanna spew.

When Stoooopid….er, Stupak gave his sell-out speech on the House floor, someone shouted out “BABY KILLER”, which was nothing but an accurate statement. The socialists in Congress and the media went nuts trying to tar and feather the person who made that call, and Monday they found out who it was, as Randy Neugebauer (R-LUBBOCK, TX) proudly admitted that it was him. God Bless TEXAS! (hat tip to Poll Katz e-mailer “Ginny”)

Some Socialist Congresscritters claimed that there was spitting and racist remarks spewed forth by the Tea Party protesters at the Crapitol over the weekend. The Capitol Police reported none of it and made no arrests. This set of videos also seems to prove the Socialists to be liars, as per usual.

That doesn’t stop a race-baiting columnist from the city that gave us Jeremiah Wright, Calypso Louie Farrakhan, and Obama from calling opposition to Obamacare and Obama in general RAAAAAAAACIST! Here’s a hint, ditz. I don’t care what race he is. I care that he is an anti-Constitutionalist, a socialist, a supporter of America’s enemies, and a liar.

One of the immediate results of the passage of Obamacare is that the United States government is being warned that our AAA bond rating is said by Moody’s to be in serious danger. Congrats to Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy, Dingy Harry Reid, and Bu’raq al Obama. Your dreams of the destruction of our Constitution and our nation are being realized.

A number of folks sent this information to me. March 22nd is the 245th anniversary of another piece of legislation that was forced upon the American people, and was one of the sparks that led to the Revolutionary War. On that date in 1765, the Stamp Act was passed.

Most people completely missed another bit of socialism within the Obamacare bill. The federal government will now have a complete monopoly on the student loan business. What part of our nation is safe from the socialists?

Evidently, none of it. The Not-so-reverend Al “Tawana Brawley” Sharpton admitted that America voted overwhelmingly for socialism when they voted for Bu’raq al Obama.

In the Battle of Midway, Torpedo Squadron 8, assigned to the carrier USS Hornet, sent 15 Devastator torpedo planes against the Japanese fleet. Each aircraft had an officer pilot and an enlisted gunner. All 15 were shot down, with only Ensign George Gay surviving. The Hornet’s captain had photos and film shot of all the flight operations and aircrew on his ship, and these films were given to legendary Hollywood director John Ford for his movie about the battle. Ford and the Navy also made this shot memorial film for the families of Torpedo 8. Only 30 copies were made, and it wasn’t until recently that the general public has been allowed to see them. The men of Torpedo 8 and their sacrifice on June 4, 1942, need to be remembered and honored by all Americans.

The Weekend Claw 3-12-2010

Before we get into the meat of today’s column, I’d like all of my readers to give up a prayer for Senator Harry Reid and his family. His wife, Landra, and daughter, Lana, were in a major car wreck Thursday night. Their car was rear-ended by a semi-truck. As of last evening, Landra was in serious condition with a broken neck and broken back. No matter what we think of Harry Reid as a politician, we NEVER wish ill to him or his family.

It looks like Townhall.com is run on liberal principles. One of their most widely read and commented upon blogs was GunnyG’s “The Anti-Liberal Zone”. Well, the ALZ attracted a bunch of liberal trolls who were quite often rude, crude, and vulgar in their comments about Gunny, his readers, and conservatives in general. The trolls generated a lot of complaints to the Townhall management, so they responded…by removing the ALZ from their site. Well, folks, The Crawfish’s blogging mentor and friend GunnyG has a new home at blogspot, where The Crawfish moved in December. Here’s the link to GunnyG’s “The Anti-Liberal Zone”.

I’m actually somewhat surprised that I haven’t gotten more comments from this story that was in Tuesday’s column than I have. “The Obama administration will accept no more public input for a federal strategy that could prohibit U.S. citizens from fishing some of the nation’s oceans, coastal areas, Great Lakes, and even inland waters.” That doesn’t hack y’all off? Am I the only redneck ‘round here?

Poll Katz e-mailer “Ginny” found this one. A Walmart in Louisiana is selling their black Barbies for about half the price of the white Barbies. There are sooooo many comments that could be made here, but I’ll resist them for now.

“Ginny” also sent along another example of the lunacy that is Noo Yawk. State Assemblyman Felix Ortiz has introduced a bill that would prohibit the use of salt in restaurant food preparation. Now just how in the hail is a chef to properly season his food if there is no salt allowed? Sure, some foods can be salted by the diner at the table, but other foods cannot be fixed via the table shaker. I just can’t see a couple trying to enjoy a romantic dinner using a salt shaker on their dessert cake.

Two thirds of Americans responded in a poll that they favor more offshore drilling to help get us a bit more energy independent, but His Majesty King Barack I has now banned all new offshore drilling for the balance of his term in office. The mainstream media made sure nobody heard of this, and the Energy Secretary made the announcement quietly last Friday. This is yet more proof that Obama favors the muslims over Americans. Go ahead and try to prove me wrong on that statement.

Regular Claw contributor “Beachmom” sent in this amazing story. It seems that the Dems in the House have exactly zero trust in their Senate brethren and in His Emminence Sultan Bu’raq al Obama. They KNOW that if the House passes the Senate Obamacare bill, The Anointed One will sign it immediately and there will never be any incentive for the Senate and Obama to consider any “reconciliation” or “fixes” to the bill. Check out how the House is looking to change their own rules in order to prevent the non-reconciled bill from becoming law. There’s another Constitutional hurdle to this mess, as all spending bills must originate in the House.

That plan was shot down on Thursday by the Senate Parliamentarian, who said that the Senate could not act on any “reconciliation” until the original Senate bill was passed by the House and signed by the President.

Turban Durbin even went to the floor this week to tell the world that Barack Obama is a liar. I love to watch red-on-red combat!

The Chosen One is showing his arrogance and selfishness again. He is delaying his overseas trip by three days so he can preside over the health care train wreck. This means the nations that he is going to visit have to completely change their own plans and security arrangements on short notice, when the plans were months in the making. That is not the way to treat a nation that has invited you for a visit. This is evidently the norm for this Administration, as Gaffes Biden figuratively gave Prime Minister Netanyahu the finger by arriving for dinner 90 minutes late, then attacking him for letting Israelis build 1600 houses within Israel instead of surrendering Israeli land to arabs.

One of the racist groups of Democrats in Congress, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, is threatening to vote against Obamacare as long as it has language in it that prevents non-drybacks from getting gummint-subsidized healthcare or buying insurance from the “health exchanges”. The Crawfish would support language that would bar all non-drybacks from getting ANY medical treatment in the US with the exception of emergency life-or-death care, and any non-dryback who survives that care should be deported immediately upon release from the hospital.

Dr. Milton R. Wolf, MD, is a second cousin of Barack Obama, and supports him on almost every issue, but he is outspoken in his opposition to the Democrats’ versions of health care reform. See for yourself what Dr. Wolf has to say from his appearance on Fox News (ignore the 15 second Chevy commercial at the start of the video).

Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy, who hand-picked the people to write the House health care bill in secret, says that the bill was “hijacked” by special interests, especially the insurance companies. No, Blinky, you and your fellow left wingnuts wrote every single word of it. You own it, and the American people don’t want your anti-Constitutional piece of equine waste matter.

Another Clinton-appointed judge is in hot water. Judge G. Thomas Porteous had been a US District Judge in eastern Louisiana since being appointed in 1994, until he was suspended in 2008. He engaged in much nefarious conduct over the years, including taking kickbacks, taking bribes, perjury, and not recusing himself from cases that he was personally involved with. The House has voted unanimously to impeach him, even though the Justice Department refused to bring charges against him.

The leading candidates to replace Dingy Harry Reid once he is UNelected by the Nevada voters this fall, Upchuck Schumer and Turban Durbin, are looking into the possibility of changing the Senate rules regarding filibusters. They know that they will definitely have less than 60 socialists in the Senate next year, so in order to get any more of The Chosen One’s anti-Constitutionalist agenda passed, the 41 vote filibuster must be ended. Wouldn’t it be funny if they were able to make that change and the GOP took over the House and Senate?

Why is it that Hollyweird big shots all go over the anti-American ledge on the left side after they’ve been there for many years (with few exceptions)? Now we’ve got Tom Hanks out there saying that the war in the Pacific Theater and the war of Islam vs. the world are based on “racism and terror”, and he doesn’t mean terror as in acts of terrorism. No, ya idjut, in the Pacific, we were fighting against a nation that was trying to take over a large part of the globe, and they attacked us first. In the current war, which began over 1300 years ago, we are fighting an enemy whose religion commands them to take over the world and enslave or exterminate all who refuse to believe in their religion. Try entering reality and studying some history, ya schmuck!

The Eric Massa implosion over the past week has caught the eye of every member of the media, but they have all overlooked one major point. Eric Massa not only groped male staffers, but he has a history of inappropriate homosexual behavior, including groping, from his days as an officer in the Navy. Is anybody going to bring this up in regards to the Obama plan to end “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”? If Massa had done those kinds of actions with a female subordinate, he’d have been kicked out in a heartbeat! If a guy had done that in any of the sleeping quarters that I was in aboard ship, he’d have gotten a severe beating and then would have been dragged to the nearest officer of the ship’s security detachment.

Hugo the Red is once again exercising the kind of power that Barack Obama’s dreams are made of. He has seized two sugar mills, accusing them of not abiding by the government production and transportation schedules and not properly paying the workers.

Textbooks around the country will soon have some very good information for the young skulls full of mush, and it is sure to drive the union teachers up the wall. A member of the Texas education board put forth an amendment that said part of the social studies curriculum standards would include, “understand how government taxation and regulations can serve as restriction to private enterprise.” In other words, Obamacare and Crrap and Tax might not be good for bidness.

Another violent American muslim has joined Al Qaeda and has been arrested overseas. This time it was a 26-year old black man from Noo Joisey, who used to work for a power company and did some maintenance at nuclear power plants. The story says, “the allegations appeared to illustrate a phenomenon U.S. intelligence officials have warned about: American Muslims becoming radicalized and joining terrorist movements overseas.” How many times must we point out that they are not “becoming radicalized”? They are simply following the commandments of that religion to convert, enslave, or put to the sword (that means KILL for those of you educated by union teachers) all non-muslims. He was trying to uphold those commandments even in high school, as he was known to be continually trying to convert students to the religion of the pedophilic false prophet.

That anti-American atheist Michael Newdow got a slap in the face by, of all courts, the 9th Circus Court in Than Franthithco on Thursday, as a three judge panel of the Court ruled against him on both cases that he had pending. The judges rules that the “under God” phrase in the Pledge of Allegiance and the “In God We Trust” motto on our currency and coinage is Constitutional, although they made a large mistake in their rulings. They said, “The Pledge of Allegiance serves to unite our vast nation through the proud recitation of some of the ideals upon which our Republic was founded” and that the motto is ceremonial and patriotic, not religious. They still refused to acknowledge the salient point, that a school district or state education board’s decision to have students recite the Pledge does not violate the 1st Amendment because those bodies are not Congress and they are not making a law. What part of “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof” is so friggin hard to understand?

Poll Katz e-mailer “Ginny” kicked me an article confirming that Toyota just can’t seem to get anything right these days. Then again, could their main competitor in the US (General Motors) and GM’s owners (Obama and Congress) be behind all of Toyota’s problems? I don’t remember where I heard that rumor, and don’t really believe it, but it is something to ponder.

The Weekly Claw 3-9-10

Geez, DC thaws out and the nuts come out in full force.

“Applications of constitutional text and principles must be open to adaptation and change … as the conditions and norms of our society become ever more distant from those of the Founding generation.” What liberal politician made that statement? Well, he’s not exactly a politician. That quote comes from the writings of Goodwin Liu, who President Obama has nominated for a spot on the 9th Circus Court. Did you really expect Obama to nominate someone who doesn’t wish to overturn the entire Constitution? The Constitution means exactly what it says, and all judges who oppose that meaning, and the politicians who nominate and vote to confirm them, are in dire need of deportation.

Once again, the Obama Administration proves that they are siding with the muslim world against Israel, by condemning the planning of more Israeli housing within Israel. Israel’s lands include the Golan Heights, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip, so they can do whatever they want in those areas. If the so-called “Palestinians” don’t like it, they can move back to Jordan, where most of them came from in the first place. Does Iran condemn the building of more housing for Americans in San Diego because the Mexicans used to claim that land?

Muslim leaders in America are proving again that a person can be a muslim, or an American, but it is not permissible to be both.

How does a radical socialist with power say “screw you, I’m getting whatever I want no matter what happens to you”? The headline of this story will answer that question. For any “reconciliation” to happen, the House must first pass the Senate bill, which Obama will immediately sign into law. At that point, the Senate has no incentive to consider any “fixes” to the bill, because Reid got the whole Senate bill passed! Game over.

Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Meeeechigan) is either a complete moron or incredibly naïve. He actually believes that President Obama and Dingy Harry will write a fix into the “reconciliation” that will change the abortion language currently in the Senate bill. That bill mandates abortion coverage in all gummint or gummint-subsidized insurance plans, which means that taxpayer money will pay for abortions. I don’t know how many times I will need to say this, but there will be no “reconciliation”!

The Chosen One went to the northern suburbs of Filthadelphia on Monday to make another campaign rally-type pitch for Obamacare, during which he intentionally lied about the budget impact over the next decade. He flew Air Force One up to NAS JRB Willow Grove, where The Crawfish was recently stationed, for this little speech. Wouldn’t it have been a LOT cheaper to make his speech by teleconference? Doesn’t he know we’ve got a big budget deficit? He’s wasting hundreds of thousands of YOUR tax dollars just to be seen in Pennsylvania with Arlen S.P.E.C.T.R.E., who flew up with him. He’ll be wasting even more money to rally the people for Obamacare later this week.

The Completely Stoooopid Politician Quote of the Month goes to…drum roll please…Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy, for this absolute beaut while talking about the Obamacare bill, “But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy.” Yes, before you can find out what’s in the bill, you must pass the bill. Only in the “most ethical Congress in history” can that quote make sense. Queen Botox has lost her mind.

The Obama budget plan has been scored by the CBO, and it ain’t a pretty sight. The Socialist in Chief’s plans will increase our national debt by $9,800,000,000,000.00+ in just the next decade. The interest payments on this debt alone will be $800,000,000,000.00+ per year just down the road. Senator McConnell remarked, “in just four years the administration predicts the government will have to spend more just to pay interest on the federal debt than it spends on the Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Education, Energy, Health and Human Services, HUD (Housing and Urban Development), Interior, Justice, Labor, State, Treasury, and the Corps of Engineers, Environment Protection Agency, GSA (General Services Administration), NASA, National Science Foundation, Small Business Administration and the Social Security Administration – combined.”

It’s funny enough for us when Democrats attack each other over their beliefs, but when a liberal attacks his own stances on the issues, you just have to sit back and enjoy it.

Do any of you out there like to go fishing, or have family members that enjoy fishing, or even watch the occasional fishing show on TV? If so, that’s just another reason to oppose the Obama Administration. They’re putting forth a proposal that might severely limit recreational fishing in American waters, including inland.

Ahhh… Ya gotta love those TOLERANT liberals. Hollyweird idjut Sean Penn, whose only quality roles have been when he has played a druggie (“Fast Times at Ridgemont High” and “The Falcon and the Snowman”), in other words when he has played himself, says that any journalist who calls his best friend Hugo the Red Chavez a “dictator” should go to prison. As for anybody who questions the humanitarian motives behind Chavez’s meager bit of aid to Haiti, Penn says “Do I hope that those people die screaming of rectal cancer? Yeah.”

The Dems are so concerned about the vote in the House that they have shoved a Democrat Representative out of the door. Representative Massa (D-Noo Yawk) says that the only reason anything has been brought forth to the Ethics Committee regarding him is because he was not going to vote for the Senate bill.

There was some good news over the weekend in the War of Islam vs. the World. An American-born Al Qaeda member was arrested by Pakistani forces. Now the question is: Will the Obama Administration try to get him extradited to the US, charge him with treason, and execute him 24 hours after conviction? That would be the proper thing to do and would capture the attention of the muslim world, who see us as weak in these matters.

If you didn’t think that giving the World Cup to South Afreaka this year was a bad idea before, try this on for size. One in every five adults there is HIV+, so the world needs to send a BILLION condoms there in preparation for World Cup 2010. How about just having the tournament in the civilized world instead? Just a thought.

Here we go again. The Chosen One has nominated a retired General to head the Transportation Security Agency. Okay, so far so good. The retired General is black. That doesn’t matter to me in the least. The retired General is a big proponent of “diversity”, even calling it a “requirement”. Now we’ve got problems. There’s too much emphasis on “diversity” in this nation. We celebrate the things that divide us, when we should promote the things that UNITE us! Calling for “diversity” means you want to promote minorities who are inferior in their job performance. Sorry, but as the old Ford commercial says, “Quality is Job One!” Hat tip to regular Claw contributor “Beachmom”.

Considering the politicians they’ve had over the past few decades, Noo Yawk could do a lot worse than electing this woman as their next Governor.

The Weekend Claw 3-5-2010

One hundred and seventy three years ago this Saturday, between 182 and 247 (the exact number has always been in dispute) brave men and one young boy fell in battle at Mision San Antonio de Valero. They gave more than they took, with 400-600 of their enemy falling to their guns and bayonets. The only survivors of the battle who were not executed that morning were two freed slaves, one former member of the victorious army who convinced the victors that he had been held as a prisoner, and some family members of the defenders. The survivors were sent away to warn others of what lay ahead for those who kept up their revolt. Forty six days later, the defenders were avenged, as with cries of “Remember Goliad! Remember the Alamo!” General Sam Houston’s army of Texians and Tejanos routed the Mexican Army under Generalissimo Juan Antonio de Santa Anna at the Battle of San Jacinto. So tomorrow, remember Bowie, Travis, Forsyth, Bonham, Crockett, Dennison, Dickinson, Harrison, Blazeby, and the rest of the gallant men of the Alamo. May they rest in peace.

Senator Jim Bunning has taken an awful lot of heat recently over his blocking of an extension of unemployment benefits on the federal level. As the Senator has himself written, he was simply attempting to force the current Congress and Administration to follow the law that they recently passed called Pay-Go. Of course, the Democrats only passed Pay-Go as a political trick to show that they were serious about deficit reduction even as they exploded the deficit to levels never before contemplated. They had exactly zero intention of ever following such a law. When you refuse to abide by the supreme law of the land, the Constitution of the United States, what’s another minor law to ya? Dan Calabrese of North Star National has a column on the subject that has a very good lesson at the end. Mark Watson, also of North Star National, also has a column about Senator Bunning that will give you a lot more insight into the personality and character of the man.

It really is astounding how predictable Barack Obama and the Democrats are. As predicted, the health care summit was just a sham, since the Dems had no intention of allowing the GOP to really have a say in the bill. Their desperation since the election of Scott Brown is starting to show. Now they know that they must ram this bill through in any way, shape, or form this year, because come November they will lose their majorities in both houses of Congress. So what’s a substanceless Chosen One to do? Of course… “BRING OUT THE WHITE JACKETS AGAIN!!!!” After accusing the Republicans of resorting to “props” for show in the summit, the props being the actual Senate bill, Obama calls for an immediate up-or-down vote while backed up by a bunch of people dressed up as doctors, just like last fall.

Just in case that ploy doesn’t change the mood of the people in favor of Obamacare, there’s always Chicago politics. On Thursday, The Chosen One hosted ten of the undecided Democrat House members at the White House, and gave a really special gift to one of them. He named the Representative’s brother to the 10th Circuit Court. If that’s not an obvious bribe, what is? The nominee in question is a lawyer, but has never been a judge, and Obama’s putting him one step below the Supreme Court? When asked about it, His Arrogance (Press Secretary Gibbs) said, “Whatever it takes to get health care done!”

While the Republicans have the Dems on the ropes, with a chance to deliver a knockout blow this fall, why do they hand the Dems a big issue on a silver platter. There are two Senate seats in play for this fall that should easily be in Republican hands, Texas and Florida. Both have solid conservatives who happen to be minorities running, Michael Williams and Marco Rubio. The GOP establishment opposes them because they are conservatives, favoring centrists Kay Bailey Hutchison and Charlie Crist. The Dems will latch onto the fact that the GOP establishment prefers whiteys (well, Crist is more orange or George Hamilton bronze than really white, but he does have nice hair that is definitely white) over a black and a Hispanic, and use it to demonstrate that this is proof that the GOP is the racist party.

The Dems have another tool to paint the GOP as racist with, and they’re breaking it out yet again. “Comprehensive immigration reform”, which as usual contains amnesty for illegals, is back on the table. Why is it so difficult for Democrats to understand that ILLEGAL means ILLEGAL?

It really is too bad that Barack Obama didn’t make John Leftwards (aka “Silky Pony”) his Vice President. Leftwards (aka “I see dead people”) is reportedly facing an imminent indictment for using campaign funds to cover up his affair and love child. It would have been wonderful to see this happening to a sitting VP just before the 2010 elections.

I know this probably won’t come as much of a shock, but the Democrats in the Senate are now officially putting politics and their favored special interest groups ahead of the health and safety of the American people. “How are they doing that THIS time, Crawfish?” Okay, I’ll tell ya. Eighteen Senators have sent a letter to the FDA demanding an end to the ban on homosexuals donating blood. The ban is in effect because gay men make up the vast majority of the HIV+ people in the civilized world. Lifting the ban will make the heterophobes feel much better inside.

The Governor Paterson scandal story gets bigger with each passing day. His actions have now resulted in a bunch of resignations and calls for him to step down from his Governorship. Not only has he engaged in unethical activities, but some of his actions have crossed the line into criminal activity. Is there anybody who could still support him at a time such as this? Well, he is a black man, so the not-so-reverend Al “Tawana Brawley” Sharpton is leading a group of black state senators and black state assemblymen in support of Paterson. They’re saying that it has nothing to do with race, but would they support a white guy in the same situation?

The Crawfish saw this story on television and just couldn’t believe it. There is actually a group out there called Intact America, and their whole purpose in life is to outlaw infant circumcision. They are asking the state of Taxachusetts to be the first to make the procedure illegal, and their proposal contains no religious exemption. The reason to try Taxachusetts first is simple. It is the most liberal state in the nation, and if any state will take medical decisions away from a parent and will infringe upon the religious rights of Jews and some Christians, that would be the one.

Remember when the media and the Democrats (dang, there I go repeating myself again) were all up in arms over the W Administration checking out the e-mails of terrorists? Where is the outcry from those same people now, when the Obama Administration is checking out the content of ALL e-mail in the US? All I hear is crickets and a few cheerleaders. The party of the tax cheats is at it yet again. Republicans in the House had put forth legislation that would force government workers and Crapitol Hill staffers to actually pay their back taxes or get fired has been tossed out by…you guessed it. The party that gave us Tax Cheat Timmy Geithner.

Here we go again with a liberal activist judge not knowing a thing about the Constitution. Judge Kevin Fine of the 177th District Court (Houston) is described as a recovering cocaine addict. From his behavior on the bench since being elected in 2008, it is clear that he might still be on mind-altering drugs. Last year, during the sentencing phase of a sexual assault trial (which happens only AFTER the perp has been found guilty for those of you from liberal households), he questioned the victim’s account of the assault. Now, he’s gone a step beyond. Since some innocent people have been executed in the nation, and a couple of states have put moratoriums on their own death penalty, he has made a pre-trial ruling in a murder case that the death penalty is unConstitutional. Sorry, cokehead, but you have to show a lot more than “there have been errors” to rule something unConstitutional. Oh well, at least the state court of appeals and the state supreme court will throw out that ruling quickly.

The headline is, “Justices May Extend Gun Owner Rights Nationwide”. No, ya idjuts, the 2nd Amendment already did that. What part of “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” is so frickin’ hard to understand? Even famously liberal Starbucks Coffee is opposing the anti-gun leftists and allowing properly licensed weapons to be carried into their coffee shops. That decision is driving folks over the edge in Seattle.

As if the debate over ANWR wasn’t enough to prove that the Democrats do NOT want energy independence and DO want to be subservient to the muslims, along comes an internal White House memo showing that the Obama Administration is considering a large land grab in the western states, similar to ones done by Jimmuh Cahtuh and Bubba Clinton. The lands in question are rich in natural resources and provide jobs to many Americans, but the Democrats want to steal them from the people so they can protect non-endangered chickens and lizards and continue to research non-existent man-made Glo-Bull Warming.

When it comes to the religion of man-made Glo-Bull Warming, all you have to do if you want to understand why the Prophet Algoracle is continuing to perpetrate the fraud despite all actual scientific evidence against him is follow the money. Al and the rest of the Gorons are poised to make mint from this scam.

Maybe FatAl needs to go to the Baltic Sea. It appears that they could have used a bit of his hot air this week.

“I was for civilian trials for war criminals, before I was against them.” Will that be the quote out of the White House later this afternoon? It appears that The Chosen One has taken enough heat and will toss the Affirmative Action Attorney General’s (directed by Obama) decision to try the top four plotters of 9-11 in civilian courts in Noo Yawk City into the nearest rubbish bin. Back they go to the military tribunal system. This is a good thing.

There have been a lot of questions about Barack Obama’s travel to Pakistan in 1981, while he was supposedly a student at Occidental College and Columbia University. At the time, Pakistan was on the State Department’s “no travel” list, so using an American passport to travel there was illegal. This is one of the major arguments in favor of the folks that the left constantly derides as “birthers” and “kooks”. Pastor James David Manning believes that Obama was, at the time, a CIA operative who worked with the Taliban against the Soviets. There is some kind of trial involving this situation in May, and Manning plans to present evidence there. Hat tip goes to blogger “str8_talk” for this story.

The Weekly Claw 3-2-2010

Well, it’s Primary Day down here in the Great State of Texas, and the big news is the GOP primary in the Governor’s race. Rick Perry has served as Governor longer than anyone else in Texas history, and while he has grown a spine in recent years in asserting the 10th Amendment in battles against DC, he hasn’t really been a friend of conservatives with his spending habits, forcing all schoolgirls to get the HPV vaccine, his advocacy of the NAFTA Super Corridor, and his cozying up to former Mexican President Vincente Fox. His big-name opponent is Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson, who has been called “Queen of the Earmarks” by one Texas newspaper, “Porker of the Month October 2009” by Citizens Against Government Waste, and was nominated for “Porker of the Year” by CAGW (coming in 2nd only to Bawney Fwank).. She’s been mostly conservative in her 17 years in DC, but not on fiscal matters until Barack Obama became President. The third person in the race is Debra Medina, who is a former county GOP Chair in south Texas and high-level volunteer in the Ron Paul campaign. She is pro-life, pro-2nd Amendment, pro-state sovereignty to the point of advocating for states to nullify federal laws that violate the 10th Amendment, and wants to deploy the Texas National Guard on the border to fight illegal immigration. Gee, I wonder who The Crawfish voted for. Let’s just hope that she can end out ahead of KBH and force Perry into a run-off. Then we can worry about defeating Bill White, the Mayor who turned Houston into an even greater cesspool than it already was, in November.

For those of you who were expecting me to be blasting Dick’s Sporting Goods in this space today because of how Mrs. Crawfish was treated over the weekend, the call for a boycott is off. She talked to the firearms department manager at the store on Monday and he severely apologized for the actions of his employees, promised departmental training on state firearms laws and proper customer service, and gave her some deep discounts on a few items. ‘Tis all good in the hood.

He’s baaaaaaaaack. The Prophet Algoracle is stepping back into the man-made Glo-Bull Warming fight, penning this op-ed piece in the Noo Yawk Simes. All of the recent scandals in the supposed science of his religion can be explained away as minor errors, which science will never be free of. He also predicts stronger hurricanes, which he and his ilk have been predicting ever since Katrina, only to be forced to claim that the LACK of powerful hurricanes is due to Glo-Bull Warming (which is the subject of yet another report that came out recently). I couldn’t even make it past the first page. He just can’t comprehend how reality and real science is in opposition to his religion.

Regular Claw readers will note that the collapse of the credit market came about because of the gummint-run Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which have been used to make Dim-ocrats such as Franklin Raines very rich while they cooked the books. Meanwhile, their main protectors have been Senator Chris “Countrywide” Dodd and Representative Bawney “Gay Bordelo” Fwank, both of whom repeatedly said that Freddie and Fannie were in excellent financial state all the way until the day they collapsed. Now Fannie is seeking $15,300,000,000.00 in bailout money from the gummint yet again. When will this particular bit of madness be stopped?

The headline of this article should make Democrats quite happy. It is exactly what they have always wanted.

Please tell me that y’all saw this one coming as soon as P-Lousy grabbed the gavel. Her Deputy Barney Fife, Steny Hoyer, is now saying that the Democrats in Congress are going to have to raise taxes in order to reduce the deficit and the debt. In as address at the Brookings Institute, Hoyer said, “If need be, I am hopeful that both parties will agree to look at revenues as part of the solution — not as a gateway to higher spending, but as part of a compromise that cuts spending and balances the budget.” Uh, Steny? The “gateway to higher spending” was the election of the Donkeys. What part of TARP, “stimulus”, Crrrap and Tax, Obamacare, and raising the debt ceiling had anything to do with fiscal responsibility, budget balancing, and debt reduction?

Neal Boortz brings us a story from Forbes Magazine that echoes what most of us conservative-types have been saying for decades. The combination of unions (especially government worker unions) and the leeches of society is bringing our nation to its knees economically. The states that are deepest kimchee are all dominated by unions and leeches, while the states that are weathering the storm without major problems are not.

Barack Obama’s sugar daddy, and the behind the scenes leader of the extreme left in America is up to some of his old tricks. George Soros, whose Jewish family first gained power by betraying the Hungarian Jewish population to the Nazis in WW2, made his fortune by breaking the Bank of England and the British Pound (for which he still has charges against him but will never stand trial) and with insider trading in France (for which he was convicted, but fled to America). Since then he has been behind the efforts to destroy the economy of the United States, and now is the central figure in a hedge fund operation to cash in as they force the meltdown of the Euro. When will the EU and the USA get together and put an end to his schemes, with extreme prejudice?

Well, it is good to see that there are some federal judges who have at least read part of the Constitution. Unfortunately, the next stop for this case is the 9th Circus, which doesn’t believe in the Constitution.

The next set of celebrities for ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” has been announced, and The Crawfish has one major question about them. Will figure skater Evan Lysacek be paired with a woman (He technically is a male) or a man (Did you see his outfits in the Olympics? In an interview, he said that his sister was better in every sport they ever tried until he went to figure skating.)?

Calypso Louie stepped back into the spotlight on Sunday, and as usual played the race card. He claimed that it is eeeeevillll whitey working to make Obama a one-term President. Meanwhile, he suggested that Obama should give his group more money, since they have done such a wonderful job of reforming black prison inmates. Reform being defined as taking angry black criminals and turning them into angry black ant-American muslim criminals.

One of the gummint’s main tools to make sure that American jobs are held by people who are actually legal to be in America is, as most government programs are, all screwed up. Instead of closing the borders and deporting all non-drybacks, the Bush and Obama Administrations have relied upon a program called e-verify. Welllllll…..it seems that e-verify fails to spot the illegals FIFTY FOUR PERCENT OF THE TIME! Yep, your federal tax dollars at work.

The liberal media keeps trying to show how the Tea Party movement is made up of kooks, racists, and future domestic terrorists. Their poster boy is a guy named Dale Robertson. Unfortunately for the liberals, Mr. Robertson has been rejected by every Tea Party organization that he has ever attempted to affiliate with. Mr. Robertson is also a serial liar, having made all sorts of claims of military service that just simply are not true.

Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy is calling on her minions to pass Obamacare, even if it means an end to their political careers. Evidently, she will do anything to make the American people beholden to the Democrats for eternity, even if it costs her the Speakership for a couple of years. Then again, she proclaimed on all of the Sunday shows that there is no way the Democrats will lose the House this fall.

“A bill can be bipartisan without bipartisan votes.” Such is the reality-free mentality of Red Nanny.

Speaker Botox also said that the Tea Party Movement is now being run by the Republican Party, ignoring all evidence that the Tea Party folks are very much against the GOP “establishment”. She still says the Tea Party Movement is not a grassroots effort, but rather is “Astroturf”.

Yet another Democrat politician is in deep trouble because he thought his status as a powerful Democrat allowed him to be above the law. Noo Yawk’s mostly-blind Governor got his job because his predecessor enjoyed highly-priced prostitutes, despite having a wife at home. Now Guvna Paterson is in trouble because an aide committed sexual assault, and the Guvna directed two other state employees and the State Police to contact the victim to try to get her to drop the charges. Noo Yawkers being the idjuts they are will probably replace him with another Democrat.

Meanwhile, the White House is still not in any position to deny claims by Representative Joe Sestak (D-Pennsyltucky) that they offered him a high Administration post if he’d drop out of his run against Arlen S.P.E.C.T.R.E. If the Administration can’t deny the claims, that is an admission that the claims are true and that someone broke federal laws at the behest of Barack Obama.

The Man with the Fecal Touch strikes again. After helping to elect Republicans in Virginia, Noo Joisey, and Taxachusetts, The Chosen One went back on the campaign trail. He went to Las Vegas to campaign for Dingy Harry Reid. Take a wild guess as to what happened in the polls as a result. Keep up the great work, Barry!

The Weekend Claw 1-15-2010

Wow. One week from today is my Navy retirement ceremony. I’ve got 16 days left of calling myself an active duty Sailor.

Do we really want the government to be in charge of health care when a government agency that’s already under heavy scrutiny, the TSA, can’t even keep someone who is on a list of people who are not allowed to board commercial airliners in the United States because he has tuberculosis from flying from Filthadelphia to Than Franthithco aboard a US Airways jet? I’m just sayin’…

A friend of mine and I were having a discussion about the Obamacare legislation the other day, and we came up with an interesting theory. If Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy succeeds in forcing the House to accept the Senate bill (the only way it can pass without having to get 60 Senators to vote AYE again), and some of the “blue dog” Dems go along with her threats, that will make those somewhat conservative Dems very vulnerable to defeat in the fall. She wants a solid majority of FAR-LEFT Congresscritters, so what better way to ditch the Dems she despises? If they vote AGAINST Obamacare, then she can support leftists to run against them in primary elections. It’s a win-win situation for Nanny!

It looks like the unions have forced the issue and made the Obamacare legislation even more unConstitutional. They signaled that they were displeased, and The Chosen One snapped to attention, called House and Senate lead donkeys to the White House, and forced them to give the unions an exemption from taxation on health insurance plans. Isn’t there something about equality under law in that Constitution thingy?

Pat Robertson does a really good job of making all evangelical Christians look like complete morons at times. When will someone finally pull the plug on him? Not every negative occurrence in the world is the result of God being angry at someone.

Bob Maistros of North Star National has the right take on the upcoming federal court fight in California over homosexual marriage. The comments show that he has spun up some of the heterophobes, which is always fun. Check out the comment by some guy called “The Crawfish”.

Ben Rhodes said, “I very much wanted to be a fiction writer.” He succeeded in writing some of the most amazing fiction put forth in the past few years. It was written so well that millions of people believed it to be truth. Rhodes is one of the top speechwriters for Barack Obama.

The White House was involved in more fiction billed as truth earlier this month. The First Fashion Disaster and her personal chef were part of a Food Network special Iron Chef America show that began with the four competing chefs and FLOTUS in her garden at the White House, picking vegetables to be used in the competition. None of the vegetables from the White House made it to Kitchen Stadium. Stunt veggies were used, and the switch was not revealed to the audience. Can the Obamas be truthful about ANYTHING?

The Administrations Anti-Semitism Czar criticized the Israeli Ambassador because he refused to attend a conference of a group that wants to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The fact that the group basically wants Israel to surrender to the demands of the muslims is completely lost upon this appointee of Sultan Bu’raq al Obama.

“If the goal was and the mission in Afghanistan was to go in because we believed that the Taliban was giving harbor to terrorists. We supported that. I supported that. They’re gone. They’re not there anymore.” That statement came from Taxachusetts AG Martha Coakley (Dim-ocrat) during the televised debate between the candidates in the special election for the United States Senate seat defiled by Teddythedrunk (D-Chappaquiddick). She actually says that there are no more terrorists in Afghanistan. Hey ditz, tell that to the eight CIA operatives who got blown up by an Islamic suicide bomber. Tell it to the family of Marine Lance Corporals Mark A. Juarez and Jacob A. Meinert, both of whom were killed in Afghanistan this past weekend. When Coakley was asked about this comment later by a reporter, she immediately asked the other reporters if anyone had a different question (about 45 seconds into the lower YouTube video on that page).

Martha the Lefty will surprise you in other ways as well. Well, maybe not since we know how liberals are and this is right up their alley, but she is opposed to nuns and actual serious Catholics working in Catholic hospitals because they believe that performing or counseling for abortions is a sin. She believes EVERY medical center in the US should be an abortion factory. Meanwhile, she kept a pedophile priest out of the public spotlight for seven years, enabling him to prey upon more children. She evidently adores men who sexually assault children, because when a cop raped a 23-MONTH-old girl with a hot curling iron, she investigated and suggested that he be released with no bail and on his own personal recognizance. Her successor in the DA job convicted the cop and sent him to prison for two consecutive life terms. So it comes down to a liberal Democrat from Taxachusetts who supports sexual assault and opposes the Catholic Church on abortion…and we thought Teddythedrunk (D-Chappaquiddick) was dead.

How good of a job has Coakley done at protecting the lawbreakers from law enforcement and upholding liberal values? The fact that ACORN has given her an A+ rating should answer the question fully. Hat tip to Kerry Picket of the Washington Times editorial page.

It really is amazing to see how much of a complete jerk Upchuck Schumer can be. Chuckie the Gun Grabber is doing his best to keep Scott Brown from defeating Coakley, including using this kind of perverted and foul language in a campaign e-mail, “her opponent is a far-right tea-bagger Republican.” Does he really believe that the people wouldn’t notice his use of that term?

Keith Olbermann, who is one of the worst sportscasters ever and even worse as a news reader/commentator, went over the edge even by his own standards by using the Haiti earthquake disaster to say how necessary Obamacare is. Puh-leeze.

It gets better. Whenever you let liberals interview each other and let them ramble on a subject, you’re bound to catch them spewing forth something that proves beyond any doubt that they are utter morons. Take Hollyweird actor Danny Glover, for example. The Hugo Chavez lover said that the Haiti earthquake was caused by Glo-Bull Warming and was the result of the Copenhagen conference being screwed up and concluding with no world-changing agreement. Will someone please let this science-challenged dude know that plate tectonics are not in any way related to temperatures.

The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights subpoenaed a lot of information from the Affirmative Action Attorney General’s Injustice Department regarding the department’s support of the New Black Panther Party’s voter intimidation efforts. Eric Holder’s people have now said that they will refuse to abide by the subpoenas because of executive orders, privacy laws, and attorney-client privilege. Is that an admission that the Black Panthers are legally represented by Holder’s people and that the White House ordered the charges to be dropped against them?

Okay, so the Supreme Court has verified that the Second Amendment guarantees the rights of individuals to keep and bear arms, but what if something superseded the Second Amendment? The Constitution’s Article VI states that any treaty that the government of the United States ratifies becomes the supreme law of the land. That means that any treaty ratified trumps our Constitution, including the Second Amendment. There are a number of groups out there, properly called “enemies, foreign and domestic”, including George Soros’ “Open Society”, Amnesty International, UNICEF, and governments of many nations including Britain, Japan, and Canada, who are working with the United Nations to bring about a treaty that would ban all private ownership of small arms. Take a look at this video when you have about ten minutes of spare time. Remember that one of the first things any dictatorial government does is to remove all weaponry from the citizens. Dan Calabrese of North Star National is right on the money again. This time he’s not talkin’ politics, just the politics of discrimination and political correctness. When the Seattle Seahawks fired Jim Mora Jr. last week, they already had USC’s Pete Carroll in mind for the job. Discussions happened immediately, and by Saturday morning sources were saying that it was a “100% done deal” that Carroll was being hired by the Seachickens. Late that afternoon, the Seahags conducted a phone interview with Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier, even though everybody in the world already knew who they were hiring. Why did they conduct the interview with Frazier? Because he’s black. The NFL has the “Rooney Rule”, which states that any team looking to fill a front office or head coaching position has to interview at least one minority before filling the position. The phone interview fulfilled the team’s obligation under the rule, but in reality it was an insult to Frazier and all other qualified minorities who get interviews just because of their skin color. Hopefully, Frazier will someday get a legitimate shot at a head coaching job, if that is what he wants. If he does, I guarantee that it will be because he’s the right guy for the job, not the right black guy for the job.

How in the world is The Prophet Algoracle going to explain this one? There has now been a death from hypothermia reported in Miami. We’re not talking about Miami, Ohio. That’s Miami, Florida.

Oh, and about those claims that the polar ice caps are melting at an alarming rate? Yeah…the truth is that the summer ice cap size has increased by 26% since 2007. Have you seen that info posted anywhere in the mainstream media?

The Crawfish is a bit busy these days getting ready to move, looking for a job, prepping my retirement ceremony, getting everything done in order to retire from the military, etc. I will probably not post any columns during the final week of January and the first week of February as I deal with the movers here and when I get home to Texas. If the Cowboys do not knock Mrs. Crawfish’s Saints out of the playoffs (if they meet January 24th), I’ll be back in the 2nd week of February. If they do…(gulp)…The Crawfish might be gator food in the swamps of Louisiana.
