If ya ain’t outraged, ya ain’t been payin’ attention!

The Crawfish knows that there are a lot of folks out there who are displeased with the direction in which this country’s government is heading, but they feel helpless to do anything about it. Yeah, there’s blogging, letters to the editor, maybe even a Tea Party or two, but is that really going to matter? To those people I say YES! Keep up the pressure with those activities, but also realize that there are many grassroots efforts underway to help bring about the kind of CHANGE that us Constitutionalists and conservatives want to see. One of those efforts was started by some of the bloggers on Townhall.com. It’s called “We’re Watching You!” That group is doing its part by initially specifically targeting 10 Congressional seats held by Democrats/liberals/enemies of the Constitution (sorry for repeating myself) in the 2010 election cycle, and possibly adding more to the hitlist as their support grows. If they can generate some support, they might be helpful in returning those seats to sane, patriotic, real Americans. It is important that we all get involved with groups like “We’re Watching You!” so that we can take back our nation from the likes of Barack Obama MMM MMM MMM, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer, Barney Frank, John Kerry, and John Murtha. It doesn’t take a lot of time and money, just a bit of dedication to Truth, Justice, and the American Way! Go visit their website and see if you support their efforts.

Fort Hood. Once again the Religion of Peace shows its true colors and demonstrates why no muslim can be completely trusted by a non-muslim. Their so-called religion commands that all non-muslims be converted, enslaved, or put to the sword (or in this case, shot). The shooter was a committed muslim, and even though he was born and raised in the United States, he listed his nationality as PALESTINIAN. Witnesses to the carnage say that the shooter shouted “Allahu Akbar!” as he began firing, which is typical of an Islamic terrorist. His colleagues paint a picture of a muslim who opposed American involvement in the Middle East and said muslims needed to repel the invaders. It’s kinda obvious where his loyalty lies.

Tuesday was a big night for the GOP in America, with the top three positions in Virginia, the Governorship of Noo Joisey, and even a large number of offices in Connecticut (hat tip to Poll Katz e-mailer “Terri”) switching from Democrat control to the Republicans. The state of Maine even made news by becoming the 31st consecutive state to have voters ban heterophobe marriage. This seismic shift was a big blow to the Obama Administration and the Democratic Party, but according to White House Arrogance Secretary Gibbs, the President wasn’t even paying attention to the election returns. The Chosen One spent the whole weekend campaigning for Corzine in Noo Joisey, and then he didn’t pay attention to the results? Does Gibbs actually expect the public to believe that blatant lie?

Speaking of lies from the White House and the Democrats in general, their latest report of jobs “saved” by the “stimulus” bill has even more holes below the waterline and is sinking fast. The report has 935 jobs being saved at a non-profit in Georgia, when only 508 people work there. It seems that raises and benefits increases are counted by these people as “jobs saved” and they even multiply the number of jobs at a company by the percentage raises to inflate their numbers. Then again, these are the same people who say that removing tax cuts, thereby raising taxes, is not a tax increase. Democrat logic and math on full display (the math brought to you by the teachers unions). If you really want to know what’s up with the “stimulus” money, Neal Boortz and Senator Tom Coburn are glad to oblige. You’ll really be shaking your head after you read that one.

I ain’t done yet. Last week, Senator Lieberman came out with a statement saying that he would support the GOP in a filibuster if the Senate Obamacare had a socialist option, er…”consumer option”. Senate Majority leader Dingy Harry Reid then had his minions, er…staff, go out and tell liberal interest groups that he had a deal with Lieberman to actually support the Democrats against a GOP filibuster. Lieberman’s spokesman, Marshall Wittman, had this to say in response to questions about the lies that Reid and his staff were spreading, “If you believe this story is true, you will also believe that I am replacing A-Rod in game six of the series.” He reiterated that “Senator Lieberman’s clear position is that he will vote for the motion to proceed to the health care bill because he supports health care reform that will control costs and insure people who don’t have it now, but will oppose cloture on a final bill if it contains a public option.”

Puh-leeeze tell me y’all saw this lie a mile away. Back in September, Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy said that she was “absolutely” and “without question” committed to posting any Obamacare bill in its entirety online for examination a full 72 hours before any vote. As of Friday afternoon, Red Nanny was pushing for a Saturday afternoon vote on the bill, even though the language was still being worked on by the Democrats. Her nose is getting so long that she can sniff her district from DC.

One major race was not decided on Tuesday, and that would be the mayoral election in Atlanta. The runoff will pit a white female against a black male, and it WILL get ugly. For some Atlanta perspective on the matter, check out what Neal Boortz has to say. I’m sure he’ll have more commentary as the runoff date of December 1st approaches.

Newt Gingrich was on Sean Hannity’s radio and television shows on Wednesday evening, trying to explain away his endorsement of the far-left liberal in the NY-23 special election. While he did admit that his endorsement was a mistake, he put the blame on the 11 Republican county chairs in Noo Yawk who put forth Dede Scozzafava as their preferred candidate. While I agree that those 11 folks should be immediately fired from their positions, I don’t buy Newt’s excuse either. Before you endorse someone, you must know something about that person and their views. A pro-Card Check, pro-union, pro-ACORN, pro-abortion person who is supported by a group, Working Families Party, that is far to the left of Nancy Pelosi simply has no business being endorsed by any Republican. Michael Steele and the RNC didn’t do their homework on this, and it cost them over $900,000.00 in campaign contributions, much embarrassment, a Congressional seat, and (hopefully) their jobs.

Michael Smerconish interviewed Scozzafava on Thursday, and she claimed to be a solid Republican, with a 90+% conservative voting record. That’s highly doubtful, but it was enough for Smerconish to say that the Republicans are making a big mistake by excluding “moderate” and “centrist” Republicans. Sorry, Mike, but anyone endorsed by the Working Families Party is not a moderate. They are far left. Besides, when the GOP stands for conservatism, the GOP wins. When the GOP stands for a squishy middle to middle-left, the GOP loses. Pay attention to the results from 1980, 1984, 1992, 1994, 1996, 2006, and 2008.

The Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, Senator John Cornyn, seems to have gotten the message from the NY-23 debacle. The “GOP establishment” gave Charlie “I’ve got a great tan” Crist an endorsement in the Senate race in Florida because he asked for it, but the NRSC is NOT going to get actively involved in the battle for the nomination, pitting “moderate” Crist against conservative Marco Rubio.

The Obama Administration is continuing its kowtowing to Islam and its war against Israel. SecState Hillary! is touring muslim lands, meeting with/sucking up to arab leaders, and reiterating that the current American government doesn’t want Israel to halt settlement construction, but rather to end it forever, saying that the US does not recognize the legitimacy of Israeli settlements in the West Bank. What kind of illegal drug is she smoking? The West Bank, Gaza Strip, and Golan heights are rightfully Israeli property as of the end of the 1968 war in which the arabs tried to exterminate Israel. Israel can do whatever it wants with that property. This is kinda like China objecting to any new American housing projects in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California because that land used to belong to Mexico. Once again, The Crawfish must ask why American Jews continue to back the Democratic Party.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Navy intercepted a ship filled with munitions for the Islamic terrorist group Hizzbollah, including Katyusha rockets and anti-aircraft batteries, and the Islamic terrorist group Hamas has acquired Iranian-made rockets with the range to strike Tel Aviv. With all of this terrorist activity, the Obama Administration continues to say that Israel is the bad guy in the Middle East?

I think we may have found another 25-year-old supporter of Barack Obama, in the form of Eric Hunt of Archbald, PA. This moron has filed suit in Broward County, Florida (surprise, surprise), against an 80-year-old survivor of Auschwitz-Birkenau, asking for “not less than $60 million” for spreading lies about a Holocaust that he claims never happened in order to further the Jewish agenda. A few years ago, Hunt assaulted Nobel Peace Prize awardee (this one was valid) Elie Weisel in an elevator, but got a minimal sentence from a liberal judge. Somebody puh-leeeze stuff this guy into a deep, dark hole until his brain is fully functional.

Here’s yet another update from the Religion of Perpetual Outrage, proving once again that they really are sub-human. Are their any rebuttals from CAIR?

I know it ain’t really necessary, but I’ve got another example of the stooooopidity and intolerance from the Followers of the Pedophilic False Prophet. People who have a choice actually join this so-called religion voluntarily? Look for Minnesota’s Representative Keith Ellison to make those regulations part of Congressional legislation in the near future.

Y’all probably thought that the anti-Constitution stands of the Democrats for Year One of the Reign of His Majesty King Barack I would be limited to “stimulus” bills, bailouts, federal takeovers of auto manufacturing companies, Obamacare, and Crrap-and-Tax. No, my young Padawans, they’ve got lots more up their sleeves. Take Pennsylvania’s Paul Kanjorski, for example. He wants to give federal regulators the power to force large companies to break themselves up into smaller entities. Kanjorski knows that there are Constitutional limitations on the powers of the federal government, but responds “limited power… its not clearly defined. We’re going to be evident in the power.” Yes, ladies, gentlemen, and otherwise…you read it correctly. He’s another Democrat who believes that the Constitution is an optional document.

It appears that the Chicago Tribune has been reading the blog of one of The Crawfish’s Townhall readers, Patriot 76. I knew him when he was just a wee blogger…

Townhall commenter “buck” hit the nail on the head when responding to another of the Townhall blogs. He wrote, “That get voted out of office by the ‘astroturf’ will understand they are STILL out of office whether they call us astroturf, rubes, hayseeds or just rednecks clinging to guns and religion. What they should have called us is: ‘Boss’”

While the Democrats put forth a 1,990 page monstrosity of a bill to overhaul the health care programs of our nation, they ridicule the Republicans as having never put forth any plan of their own, as if they’d even bring up a Republican idea for discussion. Well, the GOP is FINALLY starting to return fire, and here is a video and plan outline from House Minority Leader Boehner. The plan outlined includes a number of items that The Crawfish and other conservatives have been hollering for all year long, such as tort reform and the ability to purchase insurance plans across state lines without mandates for coverage items that are not needed (a family of a husband and wife who cannot have any more kids and have a single son do not need obstetrics coverage, but most states mandate that coverage in all family plans). Here’s the summary, in a one-page pdf file, and here is the whole House GOP bill, which at 219 pages is only 11% the size of the P-Lousy Obamacare bill.

How much pure stoooopidity is in the Pelosi Obamacare bill? Well, just check out what it has to say about vending machines. Then again, the last time I checked, the only thing that vending machines had to do with health care was that they are usually located in or near hospital waiting rooms.

Remember when the idjut Congresscritter from Florida said that the GOP health care plan was for sick folks to “die quickly”? Well, it appears that the DEMOCRAT plan for uninsured sick people is for them to “Die within six months!” See? I can play that game, too.

Townhall commenter “clyde” sent in this story that’s bound to have y’all shaking your heads and wondering about the sanity of some people. How bad does a guy have to be with the ladies to do this repeatedly? The lady shoulda just shot him.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! It now appears that The Crawfish was ahead of the times when I started calling a certain truth-challenged gasbag “The Prophet Algoracle.” Newsweek’s science editor now has an article out calling him an “Eco-Prophet” while managing to completely ignore all evidence showing that the earth has been in a cooling cycle for a decade. Why bother with facts when there’s an agenda to prop up? The Goracle has now even gone to the point of comparing Glo-Bull Warming to the Civil Rights Movement. To quote that Great American Bugs Bunny, “What a maroon!”

An anonymous e-mailer sent in this nugget of gold. What does it say about the priorities of the Obama White House when General McChrystal, SecDef Gates, and US Trade Representative Ron Kirk have a hard time getting face time with The Boss, but SEIU chief Andy Stern and socialist puppet master George Soros can get seen immediately whenever they happen to be in the area? Whoever sent that e-mail…thanx!

Regular Claw contributor “beachmom” found an editorial column at, of all places, PRAVDA, about a couple of Russian lesbians who travelled to Canada to get “married” in order to force Russia to change their marriage laws.

Syndicated columnist Cal Thomas asks one of the questions that The Crawfish is known for screaming. Does the 10th Amendment really mean anything, and can it save us from our current leadership?

The Weekly Claw 11-3-09

Hope y’all had a fun Halloween. The Crawfish Family’s scary moment came the morning after Halloween when The Crawfish went to walk the family dawg. As we stepped out of the house, we found that the exclusively INDOOR cat belonging to kid #1 had escaped the confines of the house sometime during the evening and had spent the night outdoors. Not a good thing considering the fat ball of fur has no claws to defend himself with. He was cold, wet, and scared, but four hours later he tried to get out of the door again. What can I say but…his owner is a BLONDE!

How desperate are the Jon Corzine campaign and the Democratic Party of Noo Joisey in the gubernatorial race? How about desperate enough to pay for robocalls in support of independent candidate Chris Daggett, in hopes that voters will waste their vote on Daggett instead of voting for Republican Chris Christie. Liberal commentator Chris Matthews was on the Michael Smerconish radio show talking about this race, and he was disgusted by the lies and negative campaigning of Corzine. Matthews said that an incumbent should be able to run on their own record, instead of trying to tear down the opponent. If they can’t, then it is a sign of weakness.

The city of Atlanta is on the verge of electing a white woman as Mayor. Atlanta has not elected a white Mayor since 1973, and the race warlords are supremely upset that it might happen in 2009, saying they need to keep the city under “black control.” Atlanta isn’t the only part of our nation where reverse discrimination runs rampant and is even condoned, as Ashley Stinnett of North Star National shows. Where are the words of Martin Luther King Junior when we really need them?

There has been one television commercial running in The Crawfish’s area that has been quite telling. The Democrats of Montgomery County, PA, are highlighting the fact that all nineteen elected judges in the county are Republican, and they’re asking if that’s fair. Is it FAIR? Is it fair to have the PEOPLE elect judges who come from a party that respects the laws as written instead of going by what they feel the law SHOULD say?

I sense a deep disturbance in The Force, for I am once again linking a column from Hal Donahue. Deputy SecDef William J. Lynn III (first of all, never trust someone who uses name, middle initial, last name, and a III or higher number, for they are an elitist snob with a lack of real qualifications) is now admitting to Congress that the new Walter Reed National Military Medical Center at Bethesda is NOT going to be a world-class medical establishment, as had been advertised. Heck, it’s not even gonna have all of the capabilities that were available at the OLD Walter Reed and the OLD National Naval Medical Center. It is, however, a great example of a government project, as it is inadequate, poorly planned, not meeting expectations, is behind schedule, and is WAAAAAAYYYYY over budget. In fact, it is the poster child for the “Consumer Option” or whatever Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy and Dingy Harry Reid are calling the socialist option this week. Why aren’t the veterans organizations, such as the VFW, American Legion, Fleet Reserve Association, Air Force Association, The Retired Officers Association, The Retired Enlisted Association, etc. up in arms and making a BIG stink about this? Vets who belong to these groups, CALL THEM! Everybody should contact their Congresscritter and Senators. This is a crock of natural fertilizer!

A FRICKIN’ HUGE tip of The Crawfish’s hat goes to Townhall commenter and regular Claw contributor “beachmom” for finding something quite interesting on the “Recommended Reading” page of the National Education Association. Most of us just assumed that this was being pushed upon the teachers, but now we have proof!

Over the weekend, supposed Republican Dede Scozzafava saw the light and dropped out of the special election for the 23rd District of Noo Yawk. On her way out the door, however, Scuzzy showed the world exactly what we’ve been saying for a couple of weeks. She is not now and has never been a Republican. She is, in fact, a far left Democrat, maintaining positions and associations to the left of her Democrat opponent. On Sunday, Scuzzy formally endorsed her Democrat opponent and Red Nanny P-Lousy, which is only fitting for a person who supports the Democrats’ agenda and is a supporter of ACORN, even endorsed by the Working Families Party (a political wing of ACORN that describes itself as “New York’s livliest and most progressive political party. Formed by a grassroots coalition of community organizations, neighborhood activists, and labor unions“. Michael Steele and the GOP “establishment” have just had a 2×4 applied to their foreheads. Will they finally see the light and stop putting forth Democrats to run as Republicans? Will they finally get the message that the Republican Party needs to stand for some core values? I doubt it.

Sometimes I gotta admire the judicial systems in other nations. This is definitely one of those instances.

Holy cow! The El Lay Times is finally realizing that there are folks out there who are opposed to the Obamacare bills because of the unConstitutional mandates! Next week’s breaking headline from that rag might be that some of us actually disagree with Barack Obama because of his IDEOLOGY, not his race!

At least Senator Hatch of Utah is concerned about the mandates. He said that if the federal gummint can force Americans to buy health care plans, “then there is literally nothing the federal government can’t force us to do.” Just another reason that the Affirmative Action SCOTUS Justice, Sonia Sotomayor, should have been vigorously opposed. The Constitution is NOT a living, breathing document, in spite of what the left keeps trying to shove down our throats.

White House Arrogance Secretary Gibbs was asked about Senator Hatch’s concerns. Reporters even gave him this question, “Do you not feel there is any concern at all about whether it is Constitutional for Congress to impose a mandate?” His answer was, “No.” They don’t have any concern about a question of CONSTITUTIONALITY? AMERICA, ARE YOU HEARING THIS?????

The Obama Administration, in its never-ending quest to kowtow to Islam, has now announced that the terrorists being held, for now, at Gitmo will receive vaccinations for the H1N1 virus. The only injections they SHOULD be receiving are those of the 5.56mm and 7.62mm variety. Then again, since this is the SWINE flu vaccine, and muzzies are forbidden to have anything to do with pigs, are we going to be forcing them to violate their religious beliefs by giving them the injections, thus further inflaming the Followers of the Pedophilic False Prophet? Expect a lawsuit from the terrorist supporters at CAIR in 5….4….3….

Townhall blogger “Saltwater” sent in an article from the UK that shows just how far the nanny-state has progressed over there. Don’t think that it couldn’t happen here as well.

North Star National’s Dan Calabrese is wondering why House Minority Leader Boehner is only complaining about the size of the P-Lousy Obamacare bill, when there’s sooooo much on the inside worth attacking. I guess it’s up to the new media and us bloggers to get THAT word out.

For those of you who actually have a life, and therefore cannot spend the time to read and study the 1990 page Obamacare bill, here’s a few of the NEW TAXES that are embedded within. Do any of you still believe Obama’s promise to not raise taxes on anybody who makes less than $250,000.00 per year? Didn’t think so.

If you do go through that bill, you will notice that it is mainly another government jobs and government control bill, as it will bring about one hundred and eleven new federal bureaucracies. How in the world are you going to improve health care if you submit it to that much gummint bovine excrement?

How do y’all like this bit of language from the House bill: “Section 2531, entitled “Medical Liability Alternatives,” establishes an incentive program for states to adopt and implement alternatives to medical liability litigation. [But]…… a state is not eligible for the incentive payments if that state puts a law on the books that limits attorneys’ fees or imposes caps on damages.” As the Capitol Confidential notes, “So, you can’t try to seek alternatives to lawsuits if you’ve actually done something to implement alternatives to lawsuits. Brilliant! The trial lawyers must be very happy today!”

Oh, and just to make sure the bill gets even more expensive, The Messiah is lifting the 20 year old ban on persons who are HIV positive from immigrating into the US. Great, let’s bring in a bunch of AIDS cases and put them on the “consumer option” health plan so all of us heterosexual, monogamous, non-druggies can pay for it. Was this another payoff to the wonderfully moral people of Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy’s home district? That story came from Poll Katz e-mailer “Terri.”

It is quite obvious that the “doctors” at the White House photo op recently didn’t have any Medicare patients as clients, if they were doctors at all. No doctor that treats Medicare patients could support a health care bill that doesn’t stop the upcoming 21% slash in Medicare payments. Doctors who treat Medicare patients will soon find that they are losing money every time one of those patients walks through the door. Pretty soon, the docs will revise a saying from the workers in the old Soviet Union, “As long as they pretend to pay me, I’ll pretend to provide health care.”

Even though Red Nanny trumpeted that her plan came in under the magical $900,000,000,000.00 price tag that The Annointed One said was the absolute limit, and it still doesn’t include the $250,000,000,000.00+ necessary to prevent the slash in Medicare, Congressional sources say that the ACTUAL price tag of the P-Lousy Bill is already over $1,200,000,000,000.00, and it is still rising.

Townhall commenter “clyde” gets yet another tip of the hat for sending us a story from the Obamassociated Press. Their headline refers to the muzzie imam who was shot when the FBI raided an Islamic terrorist cell in Michigan, and were met by gunfire, as a “Murdered Radical Islamic Leader.” He wasn’t murdered. He was sent to meet his 72 virgin male camels on Viagra by federal agents who were lawfully returning fire from a bunch of muslim terrorists.

“Ginny” of the Poll Katz found a headline that y’all simply won’t believe, until you remember that this Administration is being run by folks who wish to end our national sovereignty. “Homeland Security Department Gags Local Law Enforcement to Protect ‘Privacy’ of Illegal Aliens” really goes a long way in showing the point of view of Homeland Security Ditz Napolitano and King Barack I. I hate to inform them that non-drybacks have no privacy rights here. In fact, they have NO rights here. Nappy and the other Democrats really do need to take a long hard look at the correlation between enforcement of immigration laws and national security. Wait. Maybe they have, and THAT is why they refuse to enforce immigration laws.

I heard this part of the Glenn Beck Show while driving around to medical appointments on Monday. It appears that ol’ Reverend Wrong has been making some public appearances, and is blowing the lid off of his past as the preacher to Barack Obama for 20 years and his marxist philosophy that was what Trinity United Church of Christ was all about during that time. The transcript (and audio) is from an address to a conference hosted by the Monthly Review Magazine, which is openly marxist-socialist. This is WELL WORTH your time to read. I’ll give you a couple of tastes…“what will be tolerated from a person of color in this land, the land of the greed and the home of the brave excuse me, the land of the greed and home of the slave.” “This magazine unflinchingly has tackled the tough issues from McCarthyism to militarism, from the Chinese revolution through the Canadian revolution to the Cuban revolution, from the lies told by United States presidents to the lies told by the United States media. We celebrate tonight six decades of dedicated service.” Yep, Obama’s spiritual leader celebrates 60 years of dedicated service to marxist-socialism, but Obama never heard a word he said. There’s more. “My work with liberation theology, with Latin American theologians, with the Black Theology Project and what the Cuban Council of Churches taught me 30 years ago the importance of Marx and the Marxist analysis of the sociologies of the vulnerable and the oppressed who were trying desperately to break free of the political economies undergirded by this country that were choking them and cutting off any hope of a possible future where all of the people would benefit.” I think you get the general feel. There’s a bunch of absolute beautiful quotes in there for us to use over the next 3 years.

Townhall blogger “arik” gives us this gem of a column, written by a Sergeant of Marines. He takes The Messiah to task for not understanding what Mission Accomplishment is all about, and why it is Job One.

Any time a person who is an abortion-pusher has a change of heart and becomes anti-abortion, it is a good thing. Here’s a video story from Breitbart about a Planned Parenthood leader who now opposes abortion. The Crawfish is happy to announce that this ex-director of a state Planned Parenthood organization is from Texas. Here’s the story as reported by Fox News.

The Weekend Claw 10-30-09

If you weren’t outraged at some point this week, you weren’t payin’ ‘tention. That being said, Happy Halloween! Now get out there and scare some kids, ’cause the stuff eminating from DC is puh-lenty to scare us adults.

Sometimes, The Crawfish really does hate Philadelphia media. Take for example WPHT, The Big Talker 1210AM, the home of Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and Sean Hannity. They bill themselves as a talk radio station, but whenever the Phillies have a baseball game, they pre-empt the biggest shows in radio for baseball, which has what…1000, 2000 listeners? The day that Sarah Palin was selected for the VP nomination, I wanted to hear the commentary, but got boring baseball instead. Wednesday and Thursday, they pre-empted the last two hours of the Sean Hannity Show for their baseball pre-game shows…the pre-game shows that LASTED FOUR FRICKIN HOURS! Why does a baseball pre-game show last longer than a whole game? Baseball pre-game shows, even for the World Series, should last no more than 30 minutes. It’s not like there’s any real strategy to discuss. The pitcher is going to throw the ball. The hitters are going to try to hit the ball. The fielders are going to try to catch and throw the ball.

How much of a Messiah complex does the left have about Barack Obama? Well, despite the fact that Obama’s books were ghost-written by unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers, the leader of the National Endowment for the Arts has declared that Obama is “the most powerful writer since Julius Caesar.” Isn’t that kinda like saying the gaseous emanations following this year’s Terlingua International Championship Chili Cookoff (which one of The Crawfish’s cousins will be competing in this year, first Saturday in November) are the most powerful winds since Hurricane Andrew.

How much do the Democrats hate every aspect of patriotism and traditional American values? Consider that they have selected this video as one of the finalists in a contest to make the next Obamacare commercial. The video has an image of the American flag that gets desecrated throughout the commercial by pro-Obamacare painted slogans. Desecrating the flag is something Democrats now officially celebrate.

On a related note, HBO “comedian” Larry David’s latest episode of his series features him urinating on a portrait of Jesus Christ. To the liberal mind, it is perfectly okay to attack Christianity, the flag, the Constitution, and traditional American values, but if you attack heterophobes, Islam, blacks, non-drybacks, and such you are a despicable human being.

Over the past few years, as state taxes have been sharply raised by the Democrats, over 1.5 MILLION people have fled the state of Noo Yawk. That means that the goal of the tax hikes, an increase in state revenues, is falling very short, which means the liberals will want to raise taxes even more to cover the loss. It’s a vicious circle leading to economic collapse. Let’s hope that those folks escaping the Empire State are smart enough to change their voting habits away from the Democrats when they move to red states.

Do y’all remember when the Bill and Hill Show was selling out the Lincoln Bedroom for donations to their campaigns or others that they had designated? They were amateurs. Check out how the Obamas are rewarding donors! You, too, can get a private briefing, from Administration officials even. They have no shame.

Townhall commenter “clyde” sent me a story about another terroristic muslim group in the US. The story actually is good news, since many of the members of the Islamic terrorist group were nabbed by the FBI and their imam was killed, thus saving the taxpayers the expense of a trial. Does anybody want to place odds on whether or not CAIR is going to assist the legal defense team of the ones who were caught?

The Crawfish is seeing a recurring pattern. The Obama Administration or the Democrats in Congress make an outlandish claim. Someone in the media does a sanity check on the claims, smells something fishy, investigates, finds that the claims are false, and publishes their findings. Administration officials have a tizzy fit and attack the person who had the audacity to fact-check their lies.

How will they react to THIS poll, which shows that American women prefer private insurance to a government plan by a 64-27 margin?

As I have stated many times, I will give President Obama credit when credit is due. Wednesday night into Thursday morning, President Obama made an unannounced dash to Dover Air Force Base to witness and salute the return of the remains of 18 American military personnel killed in Afghanistan this week. For that action alone, the Marines who salute him entering and leaving Marine One should have a little more snap to their salutes for a while.

When it comes to dealing with Afghanistan and Pakistan, maybe President Obama should take a listen to what Pervez Musharraf, the former President of Pakistan, has to say about allowing the Taliban to have any say in Afghanistan’s government.

When the Daily Kook is reporting that Dan Hoffman is within one point of the lead in the special election in Noo Yawk, you know that the Conservative Party candidate is a SERIOUS threat to win. The left-wing extremist “Republican” Dede Scozzafava is lagging far back in third place, despite the endorsements of Newt Gingrich, Michael Steele, and the liberal “establishment” in the GOP. If Steele had any brains, he’d tell Scozzafava to drop out over the weekend and throw her support to Hoffman.

North Star National’s Dan Calabrese was watching Queen Nancy’s performance this week, when she trotted out the new and improved 1990 page House version of Obamacare and acted like it was the ULTIMATE bill that would solve all of the world’s problems and would easily pass through Congress and get signed into law. Dan notes that some of the major provisions of the bill don’t take effect until 2013, by which time we will probably have a new President who will stop them dead in their tracks. He also notes that there are “temporary” government programs involved. When was the last time any “temporary” government program actually ended?

Dan also gives us a lesson in economic reality and how the media covers it, or covers it up.

The Crawfish’s Congresscritter, Representative Kay Granger, sent me a link to the monstrosity that Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy is putting forth. If you check page 94, you’ll find this little gem, “GENERAL.—Individual health insurance coverage that is not grandfathered health insurance coverage under subsection (a) may only be offered on or after the first day of Y1 as an Exchange-participating health benefits plan.” In other words, only the government plan will be available for new coverage in Year One of the bill, which is 2013. New private insurance coverage will be ILLEGAL!

When Edmunds.com analyzed auto sales from the past few months, they figured out that for every new car purchased under the “Cash for Clunkers” program, the taxpayers shelled out $24,000.00. Now you know that didn’t sit well with the White House, so they immediately attacked Edmunds.com. They really do get miffed when there’s truth in journalism, don’t they.

Ohgoodlord. At least every other time she’s seen in public, micHELLe is dressed in something completely atrocious, but that doesn’t stop the idjuts at Glamour Magazine from making FLOTUS their Woman of the Year. I guess the Ghettohowhohitalottery look is the next big fashion style.

The Crawfish is starting the job search odyssey and it is REALLY depressing. Sheesh, if any of y’all know of some decent jobs in the Dallas/Ft Worth area, LET ME KNOW!!!

On Friday, we brought you the story of President Obama pledging 10% of our swine flu vaccines to the World Health Organization even before Americans get them. Well, Friday afternoon His Majesty turned around and declared that swine flu was a NATIONAL EMERGENCY! Why would he give the vaccine away if it was a national emergency? He did it to create yet another crisis in the United States that he and Rahm “Twinkle Toes Chicago Way” Emanuel can use to give the federal government “emergency” powers that they will never relinquish.

Meanwhile, is it really a good example of what lies ahead under Obamacare when there are already shortages of the H1N1 vaccine and the production is behind schedule?

This headline just in…Michael Jackson is STILL DEAD! In spite of that, Wacko Jacko Mania is on the rise, with the final Jacko CD hitting the stores and Jacko merchandise selling like crazy. Oh, well….

The Democrats keep harping on how eeeevilllll investment banking executives are for making such huuuuuuge amounts of money, but what about their attack-mutt? “Twinkle Toes Chicago Way” Emanuel made over $16,000,000.00 doing that job, and his buddy Franklin Raines scored even more when he was running Freddie or Fannie, something like $90,000,000.00 in six years while cooking the books over there and setting up the credit collapse.

Dingy Harry Reid signaled the end of Obamacare in the Senate on Monday when he declared that the bill WILL contain the socialist option. Watch for Senate Republicans, if they have any spine at all, to rally against anything with the unConstitutional socialist option. Three of the key votes that Reid needed, Senators Snowe, Collins, and Lieberman, have already said that they will support a filibuster of any plan that includes the socialist option. Meanwhile, Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy is trying to pull the wool over America’s eyes by changing the terminology of the socialist option to the “consumer option” as if changing the name changes reality.

John Podesta has come up with another way to pay for Obamacare, and it combines two of the top items on every good liberal’s list of favorite things; raising taxes and smoking pot.

Bawney “Madam” Fwank (D-gay bars of Taxachusetts) finally came out and admitted what we’ve been saying for years. He stated that the Democrats are “trying on every front to increase the role of government.” Remember that to those people, the Constitution is a document to be ignored at all costs. He’s proving his point by introducing legislation that will make it easier for the gummint to take over businesses, remove the executives, and screwover the shareholders.

Here’s a video story that shows just what the members of our armed forces will do to try to save the life of one of our own. Many of the usual safety rules were broken, and severe risks were taken, but the soldier was saved.

John “Gold Digger” Kerry-Heinz believes that his 3 months of service in Vietnam and those woundless Purple Hearts makes him much more of an authority on military matters than General McChrystal. In fact, he’s almost as brilliant in that subject as Gaffes Biden!

The Crawfish knows of two Northwest Airlines pilots who will soon be looking for a new job. Not only did they go 150 miles past their destination without noticing, but they did so because they were busy with their personal laptops, which is a no-no according to company rules. Shouldn’t at least one of them be looking outside the cockpit to make sure that there isn’t anything out there that they could collide with?

Who really has the power in our government these days? North Star National’s Dan Calabrese has the answer for youz guys.

The left criticized George W. Bush for spending so much time out of the office, especially on the golf course. In his first 33 months in office, W hit the links 24 times. It took Barack Obama a whopping 9 months to hit that number. So where’s the criticism from the left?

Ahnahld the Imitation Republican signed a new law in California that mandates state contracts getting assigned to bidders who meet certain racial and gender quotas, even though the state constitution forbids all discrimination and/or preferential treatment in state contracts.

It looks like the tensions between Pakistan and Iran are heating up a bit. Pakistani security forces shot out the tires of a smuggling vehicle and found 11 Iranian military personnel inside.

The terrorist supporting unindicted co-conspirators from the Holy Land Foundation case, CAIR, need to ramp up their legal defense program again, since two more Followers of the Pedophilic False Prophet are up on terrorism charges. Imagine that.

The Glo-Bull Warming frauds are now trying to push the people of the world into a vegetarian diet, and they’re going to use the Copenhagen accord talks to prohibitively raise the price of meat. You touch my steak, I break your face.

Newt Gingrich hinted over the weekend that he might make a run for the Presidency in 2012. Too bad for him that the Democratic Party’s nomination is already wrapped up by Obama, since Gingrich’s endorsement of a union and ACORN loving leftist who pretends to be a Republican in the Noo Yawk 23rd District special election and his gallivanting around with Red Nanny P-Lousy, Al Sharpton, and other left wing extremists means that he will NOT get any primary votes from the Republican base.

Ain’t it amazing how every member of the Kennedy family believes that laws don’t apply to them? The Crawfish also notes that none of them can drive in a safe and legal manner, either.

What happens when the federal government tries to run what should be a private business? Well, you could examine the inefficiencies at the Post Office and their inability to keep costs down, or you could take a look at Vice President Biden’s favorite gummint-subsidized company. Obamacare, anyone?

The Weekend Claw 10-23-09

It’s a week before Halloween. Have all of you eeeeeevilllll conservatives started poisoning the candy for the kiddies yet? Remember that if any kid in the country DOES get a poisoned piece of candy (or gets hurt in any way), it is going to be because of capitalists, conservatives, and Fox News.

Golden Corral has been doing it for 9 years, but now Applebee’s is joining them in celebrating Veteran’s Day by giving a free meal to all of our military personnel and veterans. Note that Golden Corral’s celebration is actually on Monday the 16th. Those are two companies that deserve your support.

Over this weekend, take pause and remember the events of 65 years ago, October 23-26, 1944. The Battle of Leyte Gulf was possibly the last large scale fleet battle that will ever be fought on the oceans of our planet.

The entertainment world lost another great one this week, as Soupy Sales passed on at age 83.

For once, The Crawfish is at odds with Citizens Against Government Waste, and is on the same side as (GULP!) John Murtha! CAGW, and a few other groups, are opposing funding for an alternate engine program for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, saying a second engine program is just a big waste of funds. I heartily disagree. We have a history of producing aircraft for our military that initially have one engine, but are found to need a different engine (or a heavily modified version of the original engine) to reach their optimum performance. I’ll just name a few: P-51 Mustang (the original Allison engine was nothing compared to the Rolls-Royce Merlin!), F-14 Tomcat, F-16 Falcon, and B-29 Superfortress.

Next month, freedom loving people around the world will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Since that is a celebration of a victory of freedom over Marxist-socialist communism, Barack Obama will not attend. He and all of his Marxist-socialist associates (P-Lousy, Ayers, Dorn, Frank Davis, Soros, Anita Dunn, Rev. Wrong, the czars, etc) will be in mourning that day.

Homeland Security Ditz Nappy and the Affirmative Action Attorney General must be really getting hacked off by Sheriff Joe’s continuing efforts to uphold our laws. Townhall blogger “Saltwater” sent me a story about Sheriff Joe having a press conference regarding his anti-illegal alien sweeps. The press conference was only open to the press, but at least six people from the Department of InJustice tried to get in. The liberals are mad because Sheriff Joe seems to be “profiling” in his sweeps and is arresting non-drybacks (aka future core Democrat voters). Well duh! Profiling is not a bad thing. It is simply PROPER LAW ENFORCEMENT PROCEDURE!

Do black Americans have any idea how much their subservience to the Democratic Party has cost them? How much more political power would they have if they had not supported pro-abortion liberals for all of these decades? When you consider that abortion kills more black Americans than the other top 7 causes of death COMBINED every year, you see what they’ve lost.

While Michael Steele, Newt Gingrich, and the GOP establishment are supporting an ACORN and union loving liberal in the special election for Noo Yawk’s 23rd Congressional District, the biggest news so far for that race came this week when Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman was heartily endorsed by Sarah Palin, to go along with the previous endorsements by Michelle(***sigh***) Malkin, Glenn Beck, Richard Armey, and other real conservatives. On the other hand, Hoffman’s “Republican” opponent has been endorsed by: Planned Parenthood, New York Choice Pact, the National Education Association, and unions representing longshoremen, electrical workers, and transportation workers. Somehow, The Crawfish believes that Sarahcuda is going to be a major player in the 2010 election cycle, not by running for office herself, but by making a difference in races around the country where she will support truly conservative candidates. I need to hurry up and win a big Powerball so I can get an endorsement and on-stage hug from Sarah as I run for Congress!

Speaking of Sarah Palin, could it be that one of the people who mocked her last year is now becoming one of her fans and maybe a supporter in 2012?

The Affirmative Action Attorney General and his Department of InJustice are stuck in the middle of another hoax of a race crime. Malik Shabazz, the New Black Panther Party thug who Holder’s people let off the hook in the Philadelphia voter intimidation case, is one of the enablers of one Megan Williams of West Virginny, who accused seven white men of sexual abuse. All seven plead guilty to charges (which Shabazz opposed as the charges they plead to weren’t severe enough), but now Williams has recanted, saying the abuse never happened. Shabazz was also one of the enablers in the hoax race crime involving the Duke Lacrosse team. Is it just me, or does this also resemble the not-so-reverend-Al’s involvement with the hoax race crime of Tawana Brawley?

Holder’s Department of InJustice will probably work to pardon Tarek Mehanna, saying he’s just a poor misunderstood member of the Religion of Perpetual Outrage and besides, the whiteys would have deserved it. Meanwhile, CAIR is no doubt setting up Mehanna’s legal defense team as I type.

Another adherent to the Religion of the Pedophilic False Prophet might need CAIR’s legal assistance. Faleh Hassan Almaleki was upset that his daughter, who is an adult living in the United States, was assimilating into American culture like any immigrant should (and refusing to go through with an arrainged marriage), so he ran over her and her roommate with his car. Sooner or later, the American people are going to have to wake up and realize that Islam is not compatible with the rest of the world and that there will be no peace until either every muslim or every non-muslim in the world is dead. Of course, even if all non-muslims were dead, the Shi’ia and Sunni muslims would still try to exterminate each other. Yep, that’s the Religion of Peace.

The #2 Dim-ocrat in the House, Steny Hoyer, doesn’t understand the difference between the PREAMBLE of the Constitution and the ENUMERATED POWERS of the Constitution. He claims that the “general welfare clause”, which is part of the Preamble, grants Congress the authority to order all Americans to buy government-approved health insurance. Sorry, Steny (what kind of name is Steny???), but the Preamble is a general statement describing the goals of the Constitution and has no power on its own. He also said that Congress has the power to mandate a lot of things, and this is just like them mandating that Americans pay taxes, unless they are Charlie Rangel, Tim Geithner… Meanwhile, Senator “Leaky” Leahy (Jassack-VT) believes Congress has that authority, even though he doesn’t know where it comes from, but has the audacity to say that “there’s no question there’s authority, nobody questions that!” Sorry, Senator, but everybody who understands the Constitution is questioning that.

CNSNews asked Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy where Congress gets its Constitutional authorization to force Americans to buy health insurance. All she could stammer was, “Are you serious?” Her spokesman later said that asking about the Constitutionality of that mandate cannot be considered a serious question. In other words, they’re going to do whatever they want to do, no matter what the Constitution says. It is THAT kind of arrogance that makes the majority of taxpayers outside of DC and Than Franthithco absolutely detest her.

At least House Minority Leader John Boehner understands that governmentally mandating the purchase of anything is un-American.

More fiscal shenanigans have been uncovered in the Obamacare bills. The Baucus Bill, which the last edition of The Claw exposed as dropping costs at the expense of the states having to more than double their Medicare expenditures, has another way to reduce the “on-budget” costs. They’re going to raise the Social Insecurity taxes and skim off of that revenue! This still does not violate The Messiah’s pledge to not raise taxes on those making less than $250,000.00 per year, because this isn’t really an income tax, even though it is a tax on wage income.

About 7 months ago, His Majesty King Barack I said, “If there is a way of getting this done where we’re driving down costs and people are getting health insurance at an affordable rate, and have choice of doctor, have flexibility in terms of their plans, and we could do that entirely through the market, I’d be happy to do it that way.” Well, the Cato Institute has the blueprint for exactly what he was asking for, but since it isn’t remotely close to a path to socialized, gummint-run health care, he won’t even bother giving it to his people to check out. Will the lamestream media cover this? (insert sound of crickets here)

The Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the Actuary has issued a report stating that the Obamacare bills in the House would drive the costs of health care UP, not down! So if it is going to drive the costs up, and will only cover a few of the folks who are not currently covered, what’s the point, other than government control and making the populace dependent upon the government, thereby insuring Democratic Party power for eternity?

Will somebody puh-leeze try to make some sense of this? Our leftist politicians refuse to allow for expanding domestic oil production in the Baaken fields of the northern plains, the Black Warrior Basin, ANWR, and offshore in our own territorial waters, but China is about to start drilling in our territorial waters. Which side are the Democrats on? I guess we just answered that, again.

The envirowackos who lead the charge against all drilling in America are also fighting clean “green” energy. They are taking their fight against wind turbine power generation to the federal courts, because some endangered bats might die. It’s called evolution, ya idjuts. Get over it. What do you really want from us? To go back to stone age style living?

President Obama is about to sign legislation that makes the 14th Amendment’s guarantee of equal protection under the law a thing of the past. Yes, he’s going to sign into law the new “hate crimes” legislation, which makes crimes against non-whites, non-Christians, and heterophobes MORE of a crime than those committed against straight white Christian males. It is also a step toward squelching all speech supporting the anti-homosexual stance that is a part of the holy books of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam.

Here’s a story that is sure to be ignored by The Prophet Algoracle, the Gorons, and British Prime Minister Brown. Meteorologists have recorded the lowest October temperature ever in Germany. Darn that Glo-Bull Warming!

Why is it that every single Obama appointee either has tax problems or is a complete radical? His latest appointee to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (which in itself needs to go away) is a heterophobe activist who instructed other like-minded activists to declare that “gay sex is morally good.” This Administration not only wants to destroy our Constitutional form of government, but it also wants to tear apart the very fabric of American family and religious/moral life.

I really don’t understand why Afghanistan is still the producer of 90% of the world’s opium. Once our forces got in there, all of the opium farmers should have been told to start growing different crops or see their lands get Agent Oranged. We could have even provided them with seeds for whatever crops they could grow on those lands. That crop not only fuels the world’s heroin problems, but it is also the number one source of revenue for the Taliban and Al-Qaeda groups in that region.

How much does Barack Obama wish to be worshipped around the world? How about enough to GIVE AWAY 10% of our swine flu vaccines before the demand in the US is even met. Why take care of Americans when there’s another Nobel Peace Prize to win?

The Weekly Claw 10-20-09

You know it’s a good Sunday for The Crawfish when the Philadelphia Phillies outscore the Filthadelphia Eagles. Mrs. Crawfish is also happy, as her N’awlins Saints put a bayou-sized woopin’ on the Noo Yawk Midgets.

THIS ONE IS IMPORTANT! Townhall blogger “INTHENOW” was the first of many to send me this video. Lord Christopher Monckton, who was Maggie Thatcher’s science advisor, explains to a crowd in Minnesota how Barack Obama is about to cede sovereignty of our nation from our own people to a new communistic world government. He correctly points out that any treaty that our government signs and that is ratified by the Senate has authority superseding our Constitution, and that the latest climate change treaty does not allow a nation to pull out of the treaty unless the rest of the signing nations agree to the pullout, and since the United States will be paying the majority of the money into the treaty organizations and other nations, they won’t agree. Say goodbye to the USA.

For my second “issue paragraph” I will once again prove that I will take a good story from any source. A Navy friend of mine forwarded a couple of e-mails that he got from someone who is a political activist and Huffington Post columnist and is well known by many of my readers. Hal Donahue, called by a few other names by many at Townhall.com who have questioned his bona fides, has a pretty good article regarding the future of National Naval Medical Center Bethesda, and how the planning for combining NNMC Bethesda and Walter Reed Army Medical Center into one main east coast military medical center has been quite faulty. The Crawfish and Mrs. Crawfish have both had puh-lenty of less-than-satisfactory dealings with military medicine over the years (at NNMC Bethesda, Naval Hospital Jacksonville, and elsewhere), and will take any allies to help get military medicine fixed. Hal had an older post from his archives that shows a problem that the military has always had, the demand for a pretty show for the public and visiting dignitaries, but scrimping when it comes to the things that really matter. When that impacts the medical and psychological care that our Sailors, Marines, Soldiers, and Airmen receive, it is unacceptable.

I don’t care who you are, this story’s funny! The only people who are getting torqued are those who should be deported anyway, so SCRUEM! A tip of The Crawfish’s hat goes to “Rob in Arizona.”

Gawd, I love Sheriff Joe Arpaio! In response to questions about his continuing campaign against non-drybacks, Sheriff Joe said, “I’m the elected Sheriff. I don’t take orders from the federal government!” He might have to use the 10th Amendment as a sledgehammer against Homeland Security Ditz Nappy and her minions.

When we notice all of the blatant lies put forth these days by The Chosen One and his Administration, Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy, Dingy Harry “Land Deal” Reid, The Prophet Algoracle, Bawney “The Madam” Fwank, and the rest of the Democrats in DC, we sometimes forget that it was the Clinton family that made bald-faced lies to the American people quite fashionable. Last week, Secretary of State “Sniper Fire in Bosnia” Hillary! reminded the world that an aversion to truth is still one of her trademarks. Will they ever learn?

The arrogance of the Obama Administration, dating back to their campaign, is almost assuming a status as the Ninth Wonder of the World. White House Communications Director Anita Dunn has been found on video admitting that every bit of news coverage from the campaign was “controlled” by chief campaign manager David Plouffe. No wonder she hates Fox News so much. Not only did they not allow themselves to be “controlled”, but their new ratings star, Glenn Beck, and his staff found this video and put it on the air!

It looks like The Crawfish and the rest of the patriots in America aren’t the only ones calling for attacks against terrorists based in Pakistan. Now the IRANIANS are calling for such attacks after a suicide bombing in Iran that killed 5 Revolutionary Guards leaders, among others. Of course, the Iranians are also claiming that the US and Britain helped the attacker.

With the recent news that muslim organizations were trying to infiltrate Congressional staffs, it is good to see that some organizations are continuing to stand strong against CAIR and the other terrorism front groups in America, and it is also good to see that there is now a bi-partisan Anti-Terrorism Caucus on Capitol Hill, with The Crawfish’s own Congresscritter, Kay Granger (R-TX-12), as one of the Co-Chairs. Heck, even Babs Boxer has changed her stripes, from endorsing CAIR to opposing them. Allmilitary.com commenter “Fawnmac” sent me this article which goes along with the one from Anti-CAIR. I wonder if I’m still on CAIR’s “watch” list…

If I’m not on CAIR’s watch list anymore, I need to rectify the situation. Maybe this will work. Here is more irrefutable evidence that muslim men are STOOOOOPID or homosexual! Sane heterosexual men prefer women who properly support their breasts to prevent them from…well let’s not go there. Muslim men still prefer camels, goats, and sheep evidently. Does THAT wake ya up, CAIR?

I thought the US Mint’s special series of quarters was going to just include the 50 states. Well, I thought that until one of my co-workers noticed that he had a quarter in his hand that recognized American Samoa. It seems that the 2009 series of quarters is for DC and the US Territories. The DC quarter was released on January 26th. This was the first of those quarters that I’d seen.

The Obama Administration and the Affirmative Action Attorney General’s Justice Department have decided that black America is ONLY represented by the Democratic Party, and they’ve stuck their nose into local politics to force the issue. What business does the federal government have, and what Constitutional authority do they have, in telling a town that they MUST include the Democratic Party in local elections? The person who made the decision is the same one who decided that the voter intimidation charges against the New Black Panther Party were to be dropped. Never in my lifetime has the Justice Department been used so much as an instrument of race-based politics without regard for the Constitution.

The not-so-reverend Al “Tawana Brawley” Sharpton is miffed at Rush Limbaugh. Al and his big brother in the racial shakedown and race card playing bidness, Jesse “Hymietown” Jackson, helped derail Limbaugh’s bid to become part of an ownership group to take over the St. Louis Rams football team, claiming that Limbaugh had a racist past. Well, Limbaugh fired back, citing racist activities by Sharpton that have lead to violence and deaths. Now Sharpton is threatening to sue Limbaugh over those remarks. Too bad for Al that the facts are solidly in favor of Limbaugh.

Over the weekend the New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans played in a heavy snowstorm, and The Crawfish awoke to find frost on his windshield Monday morning. Add that to the news that the official high temperatures in Philly for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday didn’t get out of the 40s, making this year the first time since the early “Global Cooling” days of 1972 that Philly had three consecutive days in October with the high under 50. Why did I bring that weather info up? Because British PM Gordon Brown went bananas over the weekend, saying that we had only 50 days to save the world from CATASTROPHE brought on by Glo-Bull WARMING. Despite the actual FACTS showing global temperatures on the decline, he spewed “The extraordinary summer heatwave of 2003 in Europe resulted in over 35,000 extra deaths. On current trends, such an event could become quite routine in Britain in just a few decades’ time. And within the lifetime of our children and grandchildren the intense temperatures of 2003 could become the average temperature experienced throughout much of Europe.” So what has happened since 2003, Gordie?

As long as climate moronity is the subject, we must turn our attention to Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov, who is promising to use the Russian Air Force to keep Moscow snow-free this winter. That’s kinda like Goering’s boast that British bombers would never make it to Berlin. Anyhow…if we’re having so much Glo-Bull Warming, why would there be any snow to begin with?

Next week, President Obama will renew a “declaration of national emergency” in Sudan. Just who does he think he is declaring an emergency for another nation’s government? He’s also proposing incentives and/or sanctions for the government of Sudan regarding the situation in Darfur, as if the Sudanese government really is in control of that nation. Doesn’t he have a few more important issues to tackle?

Some of the states are waking up to what Obamacare is going to do to them. New Hampshire’s Union-Leader newspaper has noticed that the Baucus Bill would more than double the state’s Medicare payments, which would force the state to pass a massive tax increase. That is how the Democrats are saying that Obamacare wouldn’t raise your taxes and would be budget neutral. They’re just passing the bill to the states! Their promise only extends to FEDERAL taxes.

The worship of The Chosen One continues, and it really is sickening. Why would anyone ever put the photo of a lying anti-Christian politician on the cover of a Bible? Oh, never mind. This came from a race-based store.

Accuracy In Media’s Cliff Kincaid scored a major victory against black racism, support for cop killers who are black separatists, and radical black communists when his reporting caused Rupert Murdoch to fire Marc Lamont Hill PhD from his position as a paid contributor at Fox News. Someone at Fox definitely dropped the ball by not checking Hill’s background before hiring him. Kincaid has four other columns detailing what is very much wrong with Hill that really are MUST READS. Here’s the US Navy’s newest television ad, complete with the new ad slogan. When I came into the Navy, the slogan was “You and the Navy. Full Speed Ahead!” That was changed in 1996 to “Navy. Let the Journey Begin.” In 2001, the slogan again changed to “Navy. Accelerate Your Life.” The newest slogan, “America’s Navy: A Global Force for Good” really does show where the new Administration is taking us. The military’s job is to break things and kill people, not be do-gooders. We are America’s Navy, not a “global force” for the UN. Am I the only one who isn’t cool with this?

The latest “They said WHAT?!?!?!” statement from the Administration comes from Tax Cheat Timmy, who says that once our economy recovers, the United States will have to learn to live within our means. First of all, this Administration is trying to make sure that our economy NEVER recovers. Secondly, who in the Democratic Party has the legitimacy to say anything like that after posting a budget deficit over three times as high as any other in our history?

The Crawfish didn’t realize that approximately 34% of the population of the People’s Republic of California lives in Than Franthithco.

The Obama Administration is issuing a new, more lenient law enforcement stance on marijuana. Silly Crawfish thought that laws were made by Congress, not the Executive Branch. Wait, that’s right. The Constitution and all other federal laws don’t mean what they say, they mean what The Chosen One and the Affirmative Action Attorney General SAY they mean!

The Weekend Claw 10-16-09

Daaaaa-yam! The Crawfish had to turn on the heater last night, and it’s only mid-October. Trick or treating might require heavy coats and long johns instead of costumes this year in the suburbs of Filthadelphia.

We’ll start off this edition of The Weekend Claw with some news that is gonna make Mrs. Crawfish quite happy. Singing superstar Garth Brooks has announced that he is coming out of retirement. The last time he was on tour we were stationed right where we are now and he had a series of 5 concerts in Filthadelphia. Mrs. Crawfish REALLY wanted to go to one of those shows, but they all sold out in minutes and we weren’t able to get tickets. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get tix if he tours again. For now, he’s going to be playing weekends at the Encore Theater, part of Steve Winn’s resort in Las Vegas, and will be doing one-man shows instead of having a full band and a big stage performance.

Let the anti-Constitutional fascism begin! His Majesty’s Special Master for Compensation has deemed that the outgoing Chief Executive Officer of Bank of America shall receive NO PAY for the calendar year 2009! Since when does any government official, especially one who is unelected, have the Constitutional authority to demand that someone work a year for no pay? That’s called SLAVERY. If anyone in the Court of Obama were to actually bother to READ Section 1 of the 13th Amendment, they’d find that it states, “Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.” Bank of America is not fighting this action, but somebody MUST, or our Constitution will be rendered null and void.

Michelle (***sigh***) Malkin brings us news that the Republican Party is once again flipping off the conservatives in America in favor of being the Democrat-Lite Party. Will the morons at the RNC ever learn? Time to send a message to Michael Steele, folks. E-mail him at Chairman@gop.com and let him know that he and his people are really screwing Fido this time.

Now that Barack Hussein Obama MMM! MMM! MMM! is in the White House and kowtowing to the muslims, you’d think that some of the vitriol of the Followers of the Pedophilic False Prophet would be diminished. Nope, they’re even more emboldened. The muslims are now posting prayers calling for the killing of the Jews and the throwing of drain cleaner in their faces. Yep, a real religion of peace. Go ahead, CAIR. Defend that, you terrorist-supporting jerkhoffs.

Meanwhile, as The Chosen One contemplates negotiating with the Taliban in Afghanistan, the other half of the Taliban, those based in Pakistan, shows just how much of a Religion of Peace they subscribe to. Does The Empty Suit still wish to allow those people to have a part of the government in Afghanistan?

The battle between the Americans who want our immigration laws enforced and the Democratic Party of America will come to a head on Friday, when America’s Sheriff, Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Arizona, will conduct an sweep for illegals under a 1996 federal law that allows him to do such. He’ll then contact ICE to hand the illegals over, which they will probably refuse because of their allegiance to the Affirmative Action Attorney General and The Chosen One.

How much does our Democrat-dominated Congress respect the Armed Forces of the United States? Enough to pass a Defense appropriations bill for FY2010 that gives the military $4,000,000,000.00 LESS than the already-pared-down request by the Obama Administration. The Congress also reduced the final amount actually going to the Department of Defense by another $2,600,000,000.00 by shifting that money into their own pet projects and pork, such as $20,000,000.00 for an educational institute named for that renowned American military hater Teddythedrunk. What are they going to teach there? Anti-Constitutionalism 101, Getting away with manslaughter 302, Sexual harassment 102 and 301, Drunkenness 101, 102, 301, 302, and even a Masters Degree Program, and don’t forget the PhD program in Dishonesty?

What’s a far-left Democrat to do when he’s facing a tough opponent in his re-election bid? Well, there’s always the lie about your opponent tactic and the lie about your own accomplishments tactic. If your name is Jon Corzine, and you’re losing the race for your seat as Guvna of Noo Joisey, you use both of those tactics. Note that he is using government officials on government time to do work for his campaign. Sorry, Jonny, that’s not legal.

While we’re on the subject of LIARS, we must mention poor Representative Alan Grayson. You remember him, don’tcha? He’s the Congresscritter who publicly stated that the GOP health care plan was for sick Americans to “die quickly.” Well, he was lying about who wants Americans to “die quickly.” You see, it is the Democratic Party that wants Americans to “die quickly,” as evidenced by this quote from Robert Reich, who is one of The Chosen One’s economic advisors and was Secretary of Labor in the Clinton Administration: “We’re going to have to, if you’re very old, we’re not going to give you all that technology and all those drugs for the last couple of years of your life to keep you maybe going for another couple of months. It’s too expensive…so we’re going to let you die.” Does Representative Grayson care to withdraw his remarks? Does the main stream media wish to mention this quote at all? Didn’t think so.

Y’all ain’t gonna believe where the Obamacare bill says you will be enrolling in your Obamacare plans. You’ll get them at your local Department of Motor Vehicles office! Yes, those crowded places with horrible service, long lines, and 2 of every 3 instruction posters written in a foreign language (why do that? If they can’t read English, how are they supposed to obey traffic signs and notifications?) are now going to add in more lines to take care of Obamacare enrollments. If you don’t want to go there, you can visit your local Social Insecurity office or your kids’ elementary school.

Here’s what MY Senator, John Cornyn of the Great State of Texas, has to say about health care reform and the Baucus Bill.

President Obama blew off the National Day of Prayer because it was a mostly Judeo-Christian event. On the other hand, he’s fine with celebrating other religions at the White House.

The Crawfish really never thought he’d ever see this headline from the People’s Republic of Kookifornia: “California Court Strikes Down Race-Based Scholarships.” Just don’t expect that kind of equality under the law to ever seep into the imperial federal gummint.

There’s a whole lot of people in the state of Pennsylvania who want to kick The Prophet Algoracle in a certain empty part of his anatomy, and I ain’t talkin’ ‘bout the empty part above his shoulders.

Here’s another story for the “How’s that hopeandchange workin’ for ya?” file. Everyone with a non-liberal brain could have forecasted that result, and many of us did, since the “Cash For Clunkers” ended in the previous month. We knew it was going to give a brief up-spike that would be countered by a corresponding drop afterwards.

Might as well toss this story about the collapse of the US dollar and this one concerning a possible complete collapse of our economy into that file as well. That sucker is getting THICK!

For those of you who are still looking out for a viable alternative fuel for aircraft, the military actually is working on it.

Why in the world does anybody still believe that Ahnahld the Governator is actually a real Republican. If his marrying into the Kennedy family wasn’t enough to prove his liberalness, his signing of a bill severely restricting the sale of ammunition in the State of Hysteria…er, California should remove all doubt.

Dan Calabrese had another good column on Tuesday. He found out what the head of the Nobel Committee was so happy about that he gave The Chosen One the Nobel Peace Prize. You see, Obama sold out the Poles and Czechs by reneging on our promise to build a missile defense program in their nations, thereby allowing the Soviet Union to resume threatening those nations and bullying them. That brings us much closer to world peace under the umbrella of world socialism/communism, and must be lauded.

His Majesty King Barack I went even further in helping the armed forces of communism-socialism this week when he shifted control over missile technology sales to China from the White House to the Commerce Department. If y’all remember back that far, the Chicoms didn’t have ICBMs that could accurately put a warhead on a target as far away as the United States until a Democrat took control in the White House a few years ago. William Jefferson Clinton had LORAL Corporation sell the missile guidance technology to the Chicoms to correct that deficiency. Now, The Chosen One is gonna lend them a hand to increase their capabilities even further. Looks like he’s going for Nobel Peace Prize number 2!

If an anti-war group that had every single utterance of theirs prominently carried by the main stream media during the W Administration was to drop their call for an immediate pullout from Afghanistan, you’d think that would make headlines, right? So why is it that only the Christian Science Monitor, Newsbusters.org, Fox News, and CNN have carried the story about CODE PINK rethinking their position regarding Afghanistan? Somehow The Crawfish thinks that “The Keen Observer” has had enough of the observing. Great rant!

All The Crawfish can say to this story is, “D’OH!”

Townhall blogger “Saltwater” sent me something that made my jaw drop. It appears that Homeland Security Ditz Nappy Napolitano isn’t serious enough about her job to use the term “terror” or even “terrorist”, but that’s just the beginning. Now she wants to replace the term “illegal alien” with “newly-arrived asylum seeker”. The Crawfish will just stick with “non-dryback”. Nappy also wants to house the non-drybacks in recently closed hotels while awaiting their new homes, welfare checks, and vehicles, provided by we the taxpayers at the behest of the Democratic Party. Why does the state of Arizona hate the rest of our nation so much that they had to give us Nappy and McLame?

It’s really hard to believe that there are still public officials like this one out there in 2009. While his concerns for the children do, unfortunately, have validity, that doesn’t make his decision correct. As long as the people are both of legal age, are not currently married, are mentally capable of making the decision, are not blood relatives 2nd cousin or closer (yes, Louisiana does prohibit 1st cousins from marrying, contrary to popular belief), and are of opposite genders they have the freedom to get married.

The Weekly Claw 10-13-09

Many of my devoted readers were probably wondering what was up when The Weekly Claw wasn’t posted on Monday. In an attempt to even out the size of my two columns, I have returned The Weekly Claw to its original posting day, Tuesday. Let’s see if this works out any better.

There was a discussion recently over in the forums at www.allmilitary.com concerning what the First Amendment actually means. Clayton E. Cramer has a pretty good column examining the history of how the Founding Fathers dealt with religion in public life. Shockingly enough, they believed that the First Amendment actually meant what the words of the First Amendment say!

Paging Al Gore…Paging Al Gore. Your precious Glo-Bull Warming fraud is exposed once again. Saturday morning’s temperature in Denver was a record low of 17 degrees, and the weather through the day caused the National League playoff game between the Colorado Rockies and Filthadelphia Phillies to be postponed. Potato farmers in Idaho are scrambling to save the seed potato crop as temperatures are plummeting far earlier in the season than they have seen before. Even the BBC is asking “What Happened to Global Warming?”

Gore was in Wisconsin on Friday to discuss the Crrap-and-Tax legislation in Congress and other “climate change” legislation in other nations. When an Irish filmmaker asked him to address the nine LIES identified in his film by a British court, Gore had the microphone cut off. Simply said, Gore is SCARED of debating the reality of cyclic global temperature changes because his fraud would be exposed to the world. Well, the parts of the world that ignore the mainstream media of the US, since they’d still cover for him.

The Prophet would probably have a coronary if he read some of the actual science regarding man-made climate change and the lack thereof.

Dan Calabrese strikes again. Did you know that the head of the Nobel Committee that gave His Majesty King Barack I the Nobel Peace Prize for the accomplishment of not being George W. Bush just spent the last 10 years as the Vice President of Socialist International? ‘Splains a lot!

Is Argentina showing us what the Democrats have in mind for the conservative media in the US?

World-class race hucksters “Hymietown” Jesse-Be-The-Jackson and the Not-so-reverend Al “Tawana Brawley” Sharpton have sent letters to the Commissioner of the National Football League showing their opposition to Rush Limbaugh’s possible bid to buy a minority stake in the St. Louis Rams. The two pre-eminent racists in American history are opposing Limbaugh because…wait for it…you know what’s coming…they say Limbaugh is a raaaaaaaacist! CNN and MSNBC even jumped on the bandwagon attributing a racist quote to Limbaugh, which Brent Bozell of the Media Research Center quickly demanded that CNN and MSNBC either retract or prove themselves by sourcing the quote.

They are already free to marry anyone they choose, as long as that person is of legal age, is human, is marrying of free choice, has the mental capacity to make the decision, is not already married, is not a blood relative first cousin or closer, and is of the opposite gender. This is just another attack on traditional American and religious values, especially the religious values since the holy books of the three major religions of the world (the Bible, the Torah, and the Koran) all say that homosexuality is an abomination. The crowd also supports the unConstitutional “hate crimes” legislation going through Congress right now. It is unConstitutional because the 14th Amendment makes us all equal under the law, but attaching the “hate crimes” label to any assault on a certain type of person changes equality under the law.

On Tuesday, the Senate Finance Committee is scheduled to vote on their version of the Obamacare bill. One slight problem remains. Much of the bill still has not even been written. Not only are those Senators going to vote on something that they haven’t read, but since it hasn’t even been written, they’re voting on what they hope it will say when the Democratic leadership finishes writing it. That’s kinda like giving someone a Nobel Peace Prize in the hope that they will eventually do something to make the world a more peaceful place. Anyway, one of the Senate versions of the bill contains some interesting language. You see, one of the problems that the states are noticing about the bill is that it will drive the states’ Medicare costs through the roof, busting many state budgets. Even Democrat governors have complained about that. So Dingy Harry Reid put in a formula for adjusting Medicare costs and payouts from the federal government. According to his convoluted formula, the states of Rhode Island, Meeeechigan, and Nevada (imagine that) will get their additional Medicare costs paid for by the rest of the nation’s taxpayers for the next five years.

Do you REALLY want the government to be in charge of health care in the USA? Here is yet another example of what socialized health care brings to the quality of care. Imagine The Crawfish’s surprise when he found this bit of ammunition on CNN’s website.

How committed to justice and the protection of Americans around the world is the Affirmative Action Attorney General? How does he highly does he regard the people who work in our embassies overseas? The fact that he is not going to seek the death penalty for the bomb maker in two embassy attacks that killed 224 people, including 12 Americans, should give you a hint. Yes, one black muslim life is worth more than 224 others. Which side is this Administration on?

That same question must be asked when Hillary! and the Russian Foreign Minister have announced that neither nation is going to seek further sanctions against Iran right now.

The radicalism of the advisors and czars surrounding The Chosen One evidently knows no bounds. His newly confirmed “regulatory czar”, Cass Sunstein, is clearly divorced from reality. Sunstein has previously advocated harvesting organs from deceased persons even if they did not give consent for such desecration of their bodies, and now he’s saying that organs should be taken from terminally ill people even before they die! Sunstein stated, “the state owns the rights to body parts of people who are dead or in certain hopeless conditions, and it can remove their organs without asking anyone’s permission.” What country does he believe we are living in? “The state” doesn’t own rights to ANY parts of people who are not serving on active duty in the armed forces!

The Weekend Claw 10-9-09

If you’re looking for outrage or the absurd, well this was a week for you! This Claw brings you issues to ponder, insanity on display, attempted deceptions, cover-ups of lawbreakers, your money being wasted in ways you won’t believe, union moronity, and even some humor tossed into the mix. When Al Gore gets mentioned under two different topics, you know the week was weird.

The Crawfish has decided to start this column with an issue that really does need to be examined and debated in legal and legislative/judicial circles, and that there is no clear right or wrong side of: medical assistance for the end of life. Currently, most states and the federal government disapprove of medically assisted ending of life. The Catholic Church, and the Catholic-lite denominations, oppose it as well, but have not seriously studied it in recent years. When does it become cruelty to force someone to continue living in severe pain with a condition that will eventually kill them? Poll Katz e-mailer Terri sent this article about a pending court case in Connecticut regarding this issue. Medical science has come a very long way since this issue first arose, to the point of being able to keep people alive much longer, even if that isn’t a good thing, and knowing 100% that a person is terminal in their condition. Is it the Godly thing to keep a person alive, but useless and in severe pain, for an extra two weeks instead of allowing them to end their suffering? The Crawfish would really like to see the Vatican host a conference to discuss this matter.

We knew that the Nobel Peace Prize was a complete and total joke when The Prophet Algoracle won it for perpetuating a worldwide fraud, but they’ve taken it to a new extreme. Alfred Nobel wrote in his will that the award was to be given to someone having “done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies, and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses.” The Nobel Committee decided that, since he made them feel good about hopeandchange, and he opposed George W. Bush, Barack Hussein Obama MMM! MMM! MMM! deserved the award. The reasons actually cited were that “Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world’s attention and given its people hope for a better future. In the past year Obama has been a key person for important initiatives in the U.N. for nuclear disarmament and to set a completely new agenda for the Muslim world and East-West relations. Obama’s appeal that ‘Now is the time for all of us to take our share of responsibility for a global response to global challenges.” In other words, for a bumper sticker campaign completely void of substance, working against American national sovereignty and for UN domination, supporting the muslim world against the non-muslim world, especially Israel, going on his “AMERICA SUX WORLD TOUR 2009,” and having a naïve vision of a world (well, the non-muslim part of it anyway) with no nuclear weapons. The deadline for nominations was February 1, 2009, which was less than two weeks into the term of President Barack Hussein Obama MMM! MMM! MMM! This begs the question of what had he done in that time period to even have a nomination package filled out?

The TimesOnline says it even better than I can.

One of the listeners of “The Michael Smerconish Show” chimed in on the absurdity of the Nobel announcement. Regular contributor “Liberal Paul” said that the Pultizer Prize is being awarded to the editor of the newspaper at his daughter’s elementary school and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences is awarding an Oscar to President Obama for his home video of Sasha and Malia.

I decided to give y’all a bonus dose of Dan Calabrese’s work this week. He has some interesting observations of Detruit, its school system, and its imbecilic city government, which has been run by minority Democrats and union thugs for as long as anyone can remember.

Townhall blogger “Darvin Dowdy” sent me this story of a clash between two groups of extremists that regular readers of The Claw would prefer to see engaged in full-scale combat that wipes out most of both sides. Okay, so I got a bit carried away there, but this IS soccer in Europe.

Did anybody in the GOP actually read the “stimulus” bill? What part of a “stimulus” would include paying thousands of dollars to the denizens of Detruit? Why should the rest of America pay for these people who are homeless, or are about to be, because they allowed their city to be run by Afrocentric socialist homies and union thugs. They voted for ‘em, so let them deal with the consequences.

While we’re discussing wasteful spending by the imperial gummint, the Heritage Foundation’s Brian Riedl gives us a list of 50 examples of government waste which includes a LOT of fraud and waste from the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. Yep, Bush was quite slow in getting the relief sent there, so just imagine how much MORE would have been ripped off if he had been quicker to send federal money and federal people to do the job of the State of Louisiana and City of N’awlins’ governments for the leeches of Ninth Ward.

House Minority Leader Boehner sent out a statement decrying the actions of the Senate, when the Seante Democratic leadership attached SEVENTY major changes to the text of an Obamacare bill AFTER it came out of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, & Pensions Committee, without the Republican members of the committee even knowing about it. Can’t they even be honest enough to make the changes BEFORE the vote? Where’s the transparency in that kind of action?

What part of “hate crimes” legislation should be included in the appropriations bill for the Defense Department? Well, the Democrats believe it is an integral part, since that’s where they pushed though legislation to make assault, which is already a crime, a “hate crime” if it is committed against a heterophobe. That means that the 14th Amendment’s guarantee of equality under the law means nothing, since assaults against normal people are NOT “hate crimes.” Besides, aren’t all crimes of violence “hate” crimes?

The House of Representatives has once again proven that LAWS are only for the little people, not for members of Congress. Representative John Carter (R-TEXAS) introduced a resolution to remove Charlie Rangel (D-Harlem) from his post as Chairman of the House Ways & Means Committee pending the outcome of the investigation into his cheating on taxes from 2002 to 2008. The Democrats defeated the resolution 243-156, with 19 members pulling an Obama by voting PRESENT. Maxine The Race Baiter Waters (D-Californication) even went so far as to defend Rangel by saying, “I want to tell you, there are many members who, if you go back over all of their records, over all of the years, you’re going to find that there were disclosures that were not made.” In other words, Congress is full of crooks and Charlie’s just one of them so it is no big deal. The Crawfish remembers the last time that a Democrat Chairman of the House Ways & Means Committee had tax issues. Dan Rostenkowski (D-The Chicago Way) recently got out of prison, didn’t he?

Every once in a while, I get sent a story that make this grizzled old Sailor reach for a tissue. Poll Katz e-mailer “Ginny” probably didn’t expect this story to get put into The Claw, but I think y’all would appreciate it.

Ever since the ratification of the Constitution of the United States, our nation has been the champion of freedom of expression throughout the world. Until now. The Obama Administration has signed on with the Islamic nations of the UN Human Rights Council to push through an amendment regarding freedom of expression that restricts any expression that might offend the Followers of the Pedophilic False Prophet (aka adherents of the Religion of Pieces or the Religion of Perpetual Outrage). Like we keep telling you, the Constitution only means whatever Obama, Holder and Pelosi SAY it means! Hat tip goes to Poll Katz e-mailer Ron.

Is there anybody besides me who finds this to be unConstitutional? The Obama Administration is forcing non-union workers to pay union dues and contribute to union pension funds if they are working on government projects. Of course the union thug bosses are saying this agreement will ensure that workers are going to get paid fairly. Check this quote from the union thug spokesperson, “Rather than all the money going to the contractor profit, a fair share goes into the worker’s paycheck.” Yes, folks, profit is eeeeeevilllllll.

Why is it so friggin impossible for Congresscritters and Senators to be honest about their spending requests and have them voted on individually? Radio personality Jamie Dupree has a listing of the 461 earmarks currently attached to the agriculture budget bill. Most of it is, as you would expect, PORK!

Here is yet another reason that I cannot stand the city of Filthadelphia. Besides the cheesesteaks and the historical places to see, there isn’t anything worth bragging about in that crraphole, especially the inhabitants.

What do The Prophet Algoracle and his minions, The Gorons, do when the actual scientific data shows that their Man-Made Glo-Bull Warming religion is nothing but a fraud? They destroy all of the original data, DUH!

The Gorons and their leader need to take a look at this news from Idaho, this news from Colorado, and this tidbit from Nevada, and the reports that this weekend might include the earliest snowfall in Chicago history! Ya know, it’s not that hard to find this stuff.

Is it just my observations, or is it clear that The Chosen One is nominating a LOT of heterophobes in an attempt to destroy traditional family and religious values in the USA? His nominee to be the commissioner of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is a heterophobe-rights activist who has praised polygamy and said that heterosexual marriage deserves no special priviledges. Where does he find these nutjobs?

How out of touch with reality are the teachers unions? In an attempt to cut costs for public education, the unions are proposing that 17 additional Fridays during the school year be off days. Just where in the heck do they think the PARENTS are going to get child care for those extra days? Many parents use up most of their yearly vacation days from work to be home on school holidays, “parent-teacher conference days”, and “teacher development days” as is.

Any liberal who tries to tell you that a government-run health care system will cut the cost of health care in America is in obvious denial of reality. I mean, when Medicare pays more for one year’s RENTAL, by 1100%, of an oxygen concentrator than the cost to BUY the thing, is that SAVINGS??? Typical lib-logic. Oh, and then they’ll toss in the argument that private insurance companies deny claims for treatment because they want to keep profits up. The truth is that Medicare denies claims at a much higher rate than private insurance carriers. I found both of these links over at Neal Boortz’s site. He’s always worth the read.

Here’s more on Medicare fraud. It is becoming big business for organized crime! Note that the story says a Medicare scammer can get as much as $25,000.00 PER DAY! Do you really want to give the government control over ALL of our health care? Is that going to cut the cost of health care?

Some of the Somali pirates screwed up this week. They attacked a French military refueling ship, evidently believing that the ship was part of the traditional French military and would quickly run up a white flag of surrender.

The Weekly Claw 10-5-09

Over the weekend, The Crawfish, Mrs. Crawfish, and the Junior Crawfishies were proud to assist some fellow veterans and patriotic Americans in bringing some happiness and fun to a few combat-wounded Marines and a Navy Chief by hosting them at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire. (Yep, I admit to being a Ren Faire geek) The military hospitals that are rehabilitating our men and women are always looking for events or activities that these warriors can attend or get involved with, really anything that can bring them a few smiles and social interaction. If you’re anywhere near a military hospital, rehabilitation clinic, or VA hospital, I encourage you to call them and ask how you can get involved with making life for those folks just a bit better. It’s worth it.

The Crawfish isn’t gonna spend too much time laughing about the monumental slap-down that the International Olympic Committee handed to the corrupt Cronies of Obama from Chicago. Some people on the left are criticizing conservatives for enjoying this moment, saying we’re being anti-patriotic and such. Don’t get me wrong. I’d love to see the Olympic Games held in the US as often as possible, but everything about this bid for Chicago was rife with corruption at levels unimaginable. The stench of corruption was insufferable even by Chicago’s lofty standards. The Drudge headline of “The Ego Has Landed” was priceless. The reaction by the anchor from CNN was almost as good. He’s completely incredulous that The Chosen One didn’t win! Check it out over at Townhall blogger GunnyG’s Anti-Liberal Zone.

Of course Jesse Be The Jackson, Roland Burris, and a bunch of others are blaming Bush for Chicago’s defeat, as if a Republican has had ANYTHING to do with Chicago in decades. Sorry, but the corruption that is Chicago is all your’s, Dems.

I swear that I wasn’t going to write a lot about this subject, but it’s everywhere I look. A Danish newspaper is reporting that the arrogance of Dear Leader was a big reason Chicago got smoked. Was it that he came there at the last minute expecting them to bow to his wishes, or was it the “It’s All About ME!” speech that turned off the IOC members?

A number of people have opined in a different way concerning the choice between Chicago and Rio. If you were a member of the IOC, and were going to hang out for a couple of years in one of those cities, would you rather look at the kielbasa and deep dish pizza eating, pasty white fatties sunbathing along the shores of Lake Michigan, or the thong-wearing, perfectly bronzed hotties on the beaches of Rio? I’m just sayin’…

This story was posted on the Military Forum at www.allmilitary.com a week ago, but it deserves some attention elsewhere. A young man was denied service at the bar of a local VFW hall, and in his anger went outside, cut the post’s American flag down, and started to burn it. Needless to say, that action displeased the veterans, and they gave the young man 3 different punishments to choose from. I haven’t seen the video of the punishment, since Youtube is blocked by my office computer, but here it is.

The heterophobic and anti-morality agenda being forced upon our children by the left is really out of control. The Claw has been bringing our readers information about the “Safe-Schools Czar,” Kevin Jennings, for the past few editions. What he and his minions have been pushing to the students in Taxachusetts is beyond reasonable, even for those who have no problem giving information about homosexuality to high school kids. This article contains descriptions of disgusting activity, but it is what the Democrats want to use to “educate” your children. A tip of The Crawfish’s hat goes to Townhall commenter…aw, crud. The original e-mail got deleted. Well, I’m not sure that contributor would want his/her name associated with that article.

Nile Gardiner of the Telegraph UK has come up with a Top 5 list of the most embarrassing (to the United States) speeches given by The Naïve One in his first 10 months in office. If Obama’s objective is to take us from being the greatest nation on earth to being the joke of the world, he’s doing a real bang-up job. The hat tip this time goes to Townhall blogger “dawndawn.”

I know that none of MY readers really believed His Majesty when he promised no tax increases for families making less than $250,000.00 per year, but for those out there who read these columns simply for opposition research here is a story that shows Obamacare to be a tax-raiser for the middle class. Heck, the Dems even defeated an amendment to the bill that would have prevented tax increases from paying for Obamacare.

Proving once again that the UAW doesn’t really care about its employees or the companies they work for, here’s the story of a little American car company that’s getting its throat slit this week.

Poll Katz e-mailer “Ginny” gets the credit for this story. When a DEMOCRAT member of the Senate Finance Committee is saying that he doesn’t expect to read the whole Obamacare bill, most people would automatically believe that he’s just following suit with the rest of the Senate like they’ve done for every bit of the Obama/Pelosi Agenda so far. This time it is quite different. Senator Thomas Carper (D-Bidenland) is saying that the bill’s language is “gibberish” and impossible to understand. Now Carper isn’t a novice when it comes to legislative and governmental language, as he has been Delaware State Treasurer, a 5-term Congressman, a 2-term Governor, and is in his second term as a Senator. He stated, “I don’t expect to actually read the legislative language because reading the legislative language is among the more confusing things I’ve ever read in my life” and, “When you get into the legislative language, Senator Conrad actually read some of it, several pages of it, the other day and I don’t think anybody had a clue–including people who have served on this committee for decades–what he was talking about.” Meanwhile, the Democrats have voted down an amendment to make the “plain English” version of the bill available online for 3 days prior to any vote.

Townhall blogger “Dr. Pete” has one of the better blog posts that I’ve had the pleasure of reading regarding the whole health care debate. Go take a look at this well-reasoned column.

While publicly he has been downplaying the “public option” in the health care debate because he knows that the American people are against it, President Obama is now on a full-court press behind the scenes to make sure socialized health care is included in the Obamacare bill. Can he tell the truth at least on occasion regarding this monstrosity?

North Star National’s Dan Calabrese has another wonderful column. This time, Dan goes after a writer for the Associated Press who wrote a column about how the GOP has absolutely no proposals regarding health care are just the Party of NO, and will pay a political price for it. The problem with the column is…the last part of it deals with all of the proposals that the GOP actually has put forth! So which is it? Is the GOP a party of no proposals, or are the GOP proposals just dying on the vine because the Democrats want their precious socialized national medical program?

Regarding Dan Calabrese’s columns, The Crawfish has only been bringing y’all one of his columns per week, usually one that I receive a link to on Monday mornings. Dan does write multiple times per week, and his prose can be found at The North Star National.

It is always said, well always when the people doing the saying are talking about conservatives, that you can measure a person by his/her associations. The Affirmative Action Attorney General has a rather interesting associate. Reid Weingarten is one of Eric Holder’s closest friends. Reid Weingarten is also the newest member of admitted pedophile Roman Polanski’s legal defense team. Look for the US government to quash the extradition request by California in 5…4…3…2…
