Okay folks. Make those last-minute calls to your Senators. Prince Dingy Harry is going to have debate and a vote to proceed regarding his version of Obamacare in the Senate tomorrow.

I know that this seems to be a recurring theme in my columns, but since it is a recurring theme in DC I’ve gotta keep up with it. How dishonest can Prince Harry and his minions be in regards to Obamacare? Well, they need 60 votes in the Senate to bring his plan up for a vote. He knows that he has no shot of getting those votes, so as Senator DeMint warns us, Dingy Harry’s going to bring up a completely unrelated bill, get 60 Senators to “vote to proceed”, then strike the contents of that bill and replace them with his Obamacare bill that he and some aides (and lobbyists, and trial lawyers, and AARP liars, and…) have written in secret, thus bypassing any chance for the GOP to filibuster. This is beyond the normal DC sliminess.

Oh, and by the way, Senator Reid’s plan also charges all enrollees in the socialist option a monthly fee, not to be less than$1.00, to pay for abortions.

Senator Reid MUST have the votes of every Democrat Senator in order to get the Reidobamacare bill to get by a filibuster. To get those votes, he’s gotta bribe…er, pay off…er, make it worth their while. How much does it cost to get one vote? Oh, about $100,000,000.00, and you won’t believe the complicated language it takes to make that bribe.

The racist organization known as the Congressional Black Caucus held a reception to honor the world’s pre-eminent shakedown artist and race warlord, the not-so-Reverend Jesse-be-the-Jackson, on the 25th anniversary of his failed bid for the Presidency. In his remarks, Jackson singled out Representative Artur Davis of Alabama, who was the only member of the group who voted against the Pelosiobamacare bill. Jackson even said, “You can’t vote against healthcare and call yourself a black man!” So to be a black man, one must be a complete socialist? Davis took the high road and said he would refuse to get into an argument that begins and ends with race. Believe it or not, but Maxine Waters and Sheila Jackson-Lee stood up for Davis, stating that he voted in a way that reflects his constituency, especially since he’s running for governor.

The Democrats are so hellbent on fomenting class warfare that they have decided that they must impose a tax on financial transactions. This is aimed at those eeeeevilllllll rich white guys on Wall Street with all of their high salaries and huge bonuses and great benefits. Success must be punished. Anyways, Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy and her minions have come to the conclusion that this tax must not simply apply to Wall Street. It must be an INTERNATIONAL tax. Now just where in Sam Hill did they find the authority to do THAT?

On Thursday morning, I heard Michael Smerconish interview the Democrat Representative who wrote the part of the 2008 version of the health care bill that the GOP railed about, calling it “death panels”. From his commentary, it is obvious that the wording in the legislation at that time, which I did read back then, was quite faulty. His purpose wasn’t to facilitate pulling the plug on Granny. His “end of life counseling” section was actually a good idea. Nowadays, Medicare pays for just about anything a doctor requests, but will not pay for a counseling session with the patient, the doctor, and possibly the patient’s family, in which they discuss options of future care, especially care at the end of life, living wills, and preventing another Terri Schaivo situation. Give him an A for the idea, but a D- for execution. A revised version of that paragraph was included in the bill that did pass.

So let me get this straight. We’ve got double digit unemployment. The economy is in the toilet. The federal government is spending money like a drunken arab oil minister. The Congress and His Majesty are trying to ram an unConstitutional health care bill down our throats that would INCREASE costs and the deficit. Crrap-And-Tax is next, and it will raise our energy bills by thousands of dollars per year, raise unemployment, and accomplish absolutely nothing positive. What is the solution to all of this? Of COURSE! Distract the attention of the people and make them feel good about it all! How about putting forth a bill to make next Wednesday “Complaint-Free Wednesday”!!! That’s what Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Misery) has done. I’m sorry to admit that this idjut grew up in Texas, but it does show the mentality of people who are entitlement-born and bred. He grew up in free gummint housing, which explains a lot. Anyway…this project comes from a brain-dead liberal-socialist utopian Kumbaya organization calling themselves “A Complaint Free World”. Yes, let’s stop complaining and let the socialist utopia come about so we can all hold hands in the fields of flowers as we sing “I’d like to teach the world to sing” and drink Coca-Cola (or whatever beverage the State allows us to have) and smoke lots of weed and…

It appears that our esteemed Affirmative Action Attorney General got himself SCHOOLED by Senator Lindsey Graham on multiple points in the hearings on Wednesday. Holder showed his qualifications for his job by showing up completely unprepared for real questioning by someone who understands the difference between civilian courts and the battlefield.

Senator “Leaky” Leahy tried to defend Holder, saying that if we were to capture Bin Laden, there would be no need to interrogate him. We’d just bring him in and try him. What a friggin’ idiot. Of COURSE we’d want to interrogate him! Does Leahy actually believe that Bin Laden wouldn’t have any information about terrorist cells or other parts of the terrorist organizations that might be a bit useful? That’s kinda like saying that if the FBI captures the top Crip or Blood in Kansas City, there’s no reason to question him about any gang activity in KC or the rest of the country.

Regarding the indefensible decision to have those trials in Noo Yawk City, we find that one of the Senators who has no problem with it seems to have changed his mind from a few years ago when he said this: “There are also those prisoners of war who we have captured and will capture in Afghanistan and other countries who will receive a trial of some sort. It is clear we need to try those suspects in a forum that achieves two primary goals—two goals, I might add, that may not conflict. First, the Government must have the power to use even the most sensitive classified evidence against these suspects without compromising national security in any way, shape, or form. In addition, those who commit acts of war against the United States, particularly those who have no color of citizenship, don’t deserve the same panoply of due process rights that American citizens receive. Should Osama bin Laden be captured alive—and I imagine most Americans hope he won’t be captured alive. But if he is, it is ludicrous to suggest he should be tried in a Federal court on Center Street in Lower Manhattan.” Now what TV camera and radio microphone seeking slimeball politician might have said that? Naw, it couldn’t have been Upchuck Schumer of Noo Yawk!

The Crawfish has a new award to present. I think I’ll call it the “Ballziest Statement of the Year Award”. This year’s recipient goes to…drum roll and trumpet fanfare please…Barack Obama, for this utterance made Wednesday in Beijing, “It is important though to recognize if we keep on adding to the debt, even in the midst of this recovery, that at some point, people could lose confidence in the U.S. economy in a way that could actually lead to a double-dip recession.” For making THAT statement after personally piling on more than double the debt of the previous 43 Presidents combined, we’ve gotta give him SOME kind of award.

A Democrat running for State Attorney General in Texas seems to think that the 2005 amendment to the state constitution that defines marriage, and in effect bans gay marriage, bans all marriage. The amendment states, “marriage in this state shall consist only of the union of one man and one woman” which is simple enough. The Democrat says that Subsection B of the amendment is the problem, because it reads, “The state or a political subdivision of this state may not create or recognize any legal status identical or similar to marriage.” Now what part of that bans marriage as defined in the first part of the amendment? Democrats seem to have a disease that hinders their ability to understand simply written phrases in any constitution.

The enemy is fighting back at us using our own courts. If you don’t believe that the upcoming trials in Noo Yawk, courtesy of the Affirmative Action Attorney General, are going to be all about damaging America, just check out what’s going on in Detruit. Townhall commenter “clyde” found this in his local fish wrapper. The supporters of the militant Islamic imam who was killed in the recent FBI raid in Detruit are taking the government to task, claiming excessive force was used. The supporters include the Islamic terrorism supporting group CAIR (unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation case) and our wonderful anti-American friends at the ACLU. A muslim who kills Americans is a hero, but if Americans kill those who support Islamic terrorism it is a hate crime.

How many muslims have been murdered in America because of their religion since 9-11? The answer is…one, and he was murdered by a white supremist 4 days after 9-11 and that murderer was convicted and sentenced to death in Texas, where the sentence WILL be carried out. How many muslims have killed FOR their religion in the past 38 years in the USA? Well, here’s a listing of the attacks, but it is incomplete as it doesn’t include the muslim terrorist known as the DC Sniper. Remember, profiling is evil and Islam is a Religion of Peace.

I swear that President Obama puts his foot in his mouth almost as much as his VP, “Gaffes” Biden. The President visited some of our troops in South Korea, and popped off with this, “You guys make a pretty good photo op!” The Crawfish applauds him for visiting the troops, and I hope that this remark was just made in jest, but he ought to know that it is the kind of remark that can be used against him by folks who believe that he has no respect for our military.

Here we go again with The Chosen One telling Israel that they can’t build houses for Israelis inside of Israel. Thankfully, the Netanyahu government told him to sod off and mind his own business. What would Obama have said if the Chinese government had told him to stop housing construction in San Diego because some Mexicans want California returned to Mexico? Same thing.

There were some complaints regarding my Top Ten War Movies list on Tuesday. As a result, I’ve decided to fan the flames a bit and present numbers 11-40 on my personal list. Why, oh why, did we elect such a bunch of incompetent, anti-Constitution, anti-American, inexperienced embarrassments? Wasn’t there something good on “American Idol” or “Dancing With The Stars” that night to keep the uninformed, the brain dead, and the short-attention-span-theater folks occupied that day? These folks say Sarah Palin was ignorant?

A few months ago, The Chosen One bowed before the Saudi king, but said he was just checking his shoes or leaning forward because he’s taller than the Saudi king or some other lie. What’s his lie going to be this time as he has been photographed bowing VERY deeply before Japan’s Emperor Akihito. In Japan, a low bow such as this are considered to be a sign of deference to a SUPERIOR!

When President Obama’s “Senior Administration Official” was questioned regarding the deep, apologetic bow to Emperor Akihito, the response was that Obama was “observing protocol.” Really? Then why is it that none of the other world leaders who greeted the Emperor gave such a bow? They simply shook hands like they do with any other world leader. And so goes the Asian leg of the completely apologetic “AMERICA SUX WORLD TOUR 2009!”

Holy schnikey! How much do you think the American taxpayers have shelled out for every automobile that GM is selling this year? If you said about $10,700.00, then you’re correct. That’s on top of the price paid by the folks who bought the car, and yet GM is still losing over $1,000,000,000.00 per quarter. Do you see what happens when unions and government are in control?

The media and the Democrats, but I repeat myself again, keep trying to slam Sarah Palin for her assertion that the Obamacare plans would include “death panels.” After you read this opinion article from the Wall Street Journal, which was sent to me by Senator John Cornyn, you’ll see that Sarah Palin was very much correct. Will this information be published or broadcasted by the Noo Yawk Slimes, El Lay Times, See BS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, Washington Post, or any of the other “main stream” media outlets? Yeah, right. That’ll happen about the same time as Teddythedrunk (D-Chappaquiddick) publicly opposes Roe v Wade and all abortions including partial birth ones, and since Teddy’s dead…

Okay, last week the Obama Administration decided that employment in America is going to have to be a priority. On Friday, we found out what they really plan to do about the lack of jobs for Americans. They’re going to (drum roll and trumpet fanfare please) GIVE AMNESTY TO ILLEGAL ALIENS! Yes, there’s 14,000,000 jobs right there that could go to Americans, but the Democrats would rather continue coddling people who have proven themselves to be lawbreakers. The goal, of course, is to get 14,000,000 more votes for the Democrats, along with all of the extended family members that those 14,000,000 will be allowed to sponsor across the border.

Remember all those jobs that the Administration was claiming they “saved” and how well they said the “stimulus” was working? They even have websites dedicated to these “facts.” There’s a slight problem with the data presented. Okay, there are a BUNCH of problems with the data. Among them are notices of successful use of “stimulus” funds in Congressional districts that do not exist. Since when do US Territories, such as the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and the Mariana Islands, have Congressional districts?

From 2003 to 2009, conservatives were constantly upset with George W. Bush for his liberal big government, big spending ways. Heck, about the only things we agreed with him on were tax cuts for all taxpayers, appointing judges and justices who believe in the actual Constitution instead of the liberal living-breathing one, and his fighting back in the war of Islam vs. the rest of the world. Well guess who made a speech warning of the danger of huuuuuuuuge government. Yep, Jorge W. Booosh.

Earlier this year, President Obama made his first major decision regarding our military in the long term. The decision was to end the F-22 Raptor fighter program. His reasoning, and that of SecDef Gates, was that our biggest potential adversary, China, wouldn’t have any aircraft capable of competing with any of our current advanced military aircraft until well past the year 2010. Meanwhile, while President Obama is over in China, the Chinese announce that they are about to start testing a 5th generation fighter to compete with the F-22 and F-35. Can you say “D’OH!”???

Dan Calabrese fans, rest easy. Your favorite North Star National writer has delivered another gem. This time, Dan puts into simple terms the newest bit of lunacy in Obanomics. Taking an IOU from your left pocket and putting it in your right pocket doesn’t reduce the amount you owe, does it?

Dan turned around and gave us a nice present on his birthday with a funny, yet pointed, column about the lame stream media’s obsession with Sarah Palin.

How anti-American are unions in general, and the ACORN and Obama affiliated SEIU in particular? How about investigating and filing a grievance against the city of Allentown, PA, because Kevin Anderson has spent over 200 hours clearing a walking and biking trail in a city park as community service while working for his Eagle Scout qualification. How dare one of those eeeevillll right wing zealots in the homophobic, patriotic, and (GASP!) Christian-based Boy Scouts actually heed President Obama’s call to volunteerism. That’s what union goons are paid to do during their working hours when the media has been informed to publicize their good deeds!

Where is our nanny-state heading? Once again we get a foreshadowing of what’s to come from the formerly-free nation now known as Britainistan. Don’t think for a moment that Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy wouldn’t support that kind of legislation. The hat tip goes to Poll Katz e-mailer “Ginny”.

When it comes to the Administration’s decision to try Islamic terrorists in New York City, the columns of Andy McCarthy and Kevin McCullough pretty much sum up my thoughts. This has absolutely zero to do with actual justice, but rather is all about keeping the eeeeeevillllllls of the Bush Administration in the news for at least one more election cycle while destroying our intelligence gathering capabilities and possibly letting terrorists go free. Of course Barack Obama and the Affirmative Action Attorney General know nothing about terrorists going free…Ayers, Dohrn, Weather Underground, F.A.L.N….

On the subject of Islamic terrorists, the Ft. Hood shooter tried to get some of the soldiers that he had treated prosecuted for war crimes. The “war crimes” in question were probably the act of returning fire from Islamic illegal combatants. Never mind the fact that nothing said to him by any soldier in his care could be admissible. There is the doctor-patient privilege to consider. Meanwhile, his co-workers and superiors admit that the shooter signed his e-mails with “Praise Be To Allah”.

Step, by step, by step, by… Once again proving that the Constitution doesn’t matter one bit to them, the Obama Administration is pushing to take over regulation of all of the nation’s subway and light rail systems. The Constitution only gives the federal gummint the authority to deal with INTERSTATE transportation and commerce. If those subway and light rail systems don’t cross state lines, then there’s nothing about them that the federal gummint can legally regulate. What part of our lives do they NOT want to take over?

The Military Times group of newspapers has published a list of their Top Ten Military Movies of All Time. Their list, from 1 to 10 is: “Saving Private Ryan”, “Black Hawk Down”, “Platoon”, “Apocalypse Now”, “The Fighting Seabees”, “Heartbreak Ridge”, “We Were Soldiers”, “The Hurt Locker”, “Starship Troopers”, and “Full Metal Jacket”. The Crawfish definitely disagrees with numbers 2, 6, 8, and 9. “Black Hawk Down” was really good, but falls outside of my Top Ten. “Heartbreak Ridge” was entertaining, but void of reality. “Starship Troopers”? Puh-leeze. I’ve never even heard of “The Hurt Locker”. So, my dear readers, I will now present The Crawfish’s Top Ten Military movies of All Time, and I invite your comments and your own nominations. From 10 to 2: “The Fighting Seabees”, “Patton”, “Braveheart”, “The Longest Day”, “Apocalypse Now (Redux version)”, “Saving Private Ryan”, “Full Metal Jacket”, “Tora, Tora, Tora”, and “A Bridge Too Far”. Special mention must go to the HBO miniseries “Band of Brothers”, which would definitely be in the top 3 if it was a movie. My NUMBER ONE is…”We Were Soldiers”.

Men Who Stare At Goats…

Apparently men who stare at goats also sympathize with terrorists.

Against our better judgement we went to see the new release this weekend. We have not had a “date night” in months and the hubs and I decided to go and see the movie. Fortunately for us we had a gift certificate big enough to pay for our tickets and some popcorn.

Here’s a brief synopsis of the movie from IMBD:

A reporter, trying to lose himself in the romance of war after his marriage fails, gets more than he bargains for when he meets a special forces agent who reveals the existence of a secret, psychic military unit whose goal is to end war as we know it. The founder of the unit has gone missing and the trail leads to another psychic soldier who has distorted the mission to serve his own ends. Written by Rob Harris

The movie has a few “chuckle” moments in it. Overall, however, anything that was even slightly endearing in the entire story is totally and utterly destroyed when the moronic hippies, from the farce unit, lace the water supply of a FOB in Iraq with LSD. Yeah, watching soldiers drive armored vehicles through fences, running around with their weapons and rolling on the ground from laughter in a war zone was just so hilarious (yes, this is bitterly sarcastic), but that’s not even the best part.

The hippies and the loser journalist do this so that they can release a bunch of goats that the military has captured and contained to run experiments on. I actually don’t even mind that part. I like goats, and they smell better than a lot of hippies I know. The part where I went to stand up and leave is when the hippies and the loser journalist release a handful of prisoners who were being “tortured” with Barney music and flashing lights. They release terrorists back into the desert as their “moment of redemption.” You heard me right. That is how they redeemed themselves from years of drug abuse, lying and deception. The only thing the movie producers forgot was to hand the band of terrorist thugs their weapons back as they set them free to kill and maim more innocent civilians and murder our soldiers.

Yeah, it’s a movie. I know. Maybe some will think I got too ticked off about a movie, but the movie started with the disclaimer “More of this is true than you would believe.” Just what were they implying? Who knows… then again maybe they are right!

After taking time to think this through I told my husband that it really is a most accurate film about the values of the supposed “progressive” hippy movement. When all is said and done the audience realizes that the entire special unit really was nothing but a fraud and a waste of tax payer’s money. They also realize that the majority of what was being experienced were hallucinations from LSD and amphetamine abuse. When they release the terrorists back into the desert the audience learns that the only redemption this group has to offer is not a redemption at all.

Maybe in that light, it’s not such an outrageous movie after all.

Nothing important going on here. You don’t need to see what the government is doing. Go back to watching “Dancing With The Stars” or something.

Have y’all noticed that nobody is screaming about e-mail intercepts and other matters relating to FISA and the Patriot Act in regards to the Islamic terrorist who murdered 13 Americans at Ft. Hood? Instead, folks are screaming that nothing was done about the information uncovered! Oh, and by the way, the two Islamic terrorist wannabes who were arrested in September for trying to blow up federal buildings in Dallas and Springfield, IL, were nabbed because of roving FISA wiretaps on their phones and e-mails. Communications is a vital tool in any war, and despite what the government and press say, we are at war with Islam, and will always be.

Wait a second…the shooter was being investigated by the FBI for over a year, according to the reports in Tuesday’s Claw, but he made his gun purchases, with FBI background check, since he transferred to Ft. Hood. Does the FBI communicate with its own people???

There’s a Deputy District Attorney out in California who is about to get herself fired. A muslim man went on an anti-Christian rampage in a mall, so she’s seeking charges against him. What’s going to get her in trouble is that she’s considering “hate crime” charges. That’s not allowed when the victims are Christian, only when Christians are the perps. Doesn’t she know ANYTHING about life in the United States?

Some federal prosecutors might be in a bit of hot water with the Administration, as they are seeking to confiscate a Noo Yawk skyscraper and four Islamic centers consisting of schools and mosques. These properties are owned by a group called the Alavi Foundation, which itself is controlled by the Iranian government, and are fronted by a shell corporation called Assa Corporation (methinks the 2nd “a” should be removed). The only way this action doesn’t get quashed by the Administration is if they are using it as a bargaining chip against Iran.

Okay, The Crawfish hears his readers. I didn’t put a Dan Calabrese column in my Tuesday edition. I’ve gotta make amends, so here is a special Friday appearance by North Star National’s Dan Calabrese. Today, Dan takes a look at the upcoming forum with Labor Secretary LaHood regarding the airline industry in the United States. It seems that the unions are not pleased with how the airline industry has been trying to reduce costs in an attempt to come close to making a profit. The unions want to do to the airlines what they have done to Chrysler and General Motors. Don’t they understand that if a company goes belly-up their jobs go away? Nope. It’s all about union POWER!

The Administration is now purging all Republican political appointees from their civil service positions. It is normal for political appointees to get into civil service jobs when their administration boss changes. Once into those positions, they cannot be fired simply at will, but are subject to civil service hiring and firing rules. Remember how much of a cow the Democrats had when George W. Bush fired 8 US Attorneys? Well, that was perfectly legal because they were still political appointees. Obama is calling for all civil service employees who got their jobs within the past five years and were Bush political appointees before that to be identified and terminated without any cause. Where are those Democrat Congresscritters and Senators now that this illegal activity is underway? Rush Limbaugh, correctly, points out that mass purges are a hallmark of marxist-socialist dictatorial regimes.

I haven’t been able to do it much lately, but I do love to bring a nice feel-good story to my columns on occasion. Here’s one from the battlegrounds of Afghanistan that will make all of you animal-lovers smile.

Now wouldn’t it be interesting if Bill Owens had to be unseated from the House and Doug Hoffman took the seat? It might happen! Would that invalidate the 220-215 vote on Pelosiobamacare?

His Majesty King Barack I has announced a jobs summit for next month. Methinks I know his intent. He’s gonna find out what companies are healthy enough to be hiring, and tax them into oblivion. How dare they compete against the federal colossus!

Where does Nanny-Statism lead? Once again we turn to Britainistan for an update.

All of us veterans have taken the oath to “uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic” at least once. Many of us have sworn that oath multiple times. Our terms of enlistment may have expiration dates, but our oath does not. So, as Dan Sherrier of North Star National writes, what a better way to honor our veterans this week than by reading the Constitution. Thanx, Dan.

This page has a video that lasts a bit over 5 minutes, but is well worth watching. It is Governor Rick Perry of the Great State of Texas talking on a number of points. First he talks of the “Alien Transfer and Exit Program” which takes illegal aliens that were captured in Arizona and Texas, busses them to a town in Texas that has a bridge to Mexico, and releases them to voluntarily cross the bridge. Given the choice of the Chihuahua desert or Texas, which way do you think those illegals are going to go? Governor Perry says that this is evidence that the Obama Administration is out to punish Texas. Governor Perry then praises the Tea Parties and says that we need to have more and double their size. He says “I’m not bashful to get up and say I believe in the Tenth Amendment!” He make no bones about what he thinks of the Obama Administration, stating “This is an administration hell-bent on taking America towards a socialist country.”

A state elections official in Texas was fired over remarks she made about mexican-speaking voters. The Crawfish doesn’t think she should be fired. Instead, the non-English speakers should be told to go home. All voting ballots and voting assistance in the United States should be in English ONLY. To vote, you must be a citizen. To be a citizen, you must pass an English proficiency exam. If you can’t speak English, then you fraudulently got your citizenship. If you don’t like that, go back to whatever country you came from.

If they can generate some support, they might be helpful in returning those seats to sane, patriotic, real Americans. It is important that we all get involved with groups like “We’re Watching You!” so that we can take back our nation from the likes of Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Sonya Sotomayor, Bernadine Dohrn, George Soros, and John Murtha. Here I go showing my age again. A school principal has banned the word “Meep!” from his school, even threatening to suspend students who wear or say it. Students had started using the word, which comes from Beaker, the bungling lab assistant from the Muppets, as a planned disruption word, having organized the disruption on Facebook. And here I thought “Meep-Meep” was the sound of the Roadrunner.

Okay, we can start with repealing the “stimulus” bill, ditching the Obamacare bill, don’t even consider the Crrap-and-Tax bill, and end all unConstitutional entitlements, especially those born of the Great Society programs of Lyndon Baines “Texas’ Biggest Embarrassment” Johnson. If you don’t take those steps, then you are not the least bit serious about cutting the federal deficit.

The workings of the extreme leftist liberal mind are a wonder to behold. Who, besides unrepentant marxist-socialist terrorists (and really good Friends of Barack) William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, knew that the Hillary! campaign’s use of the terms “women”, “blue collar”, “worker”, “working class”, and “mainstream” really mean “WHITE!”, while “unknown”, “untested”, “stranger”, “wild card”, and “elitist” really mean “BLACK!”? Wait… “Elitist” means “black”? That one’s really the icing on the cake. As for all of the terms relating to work meaning “white”, that can be traced directly to the Democrats and the Great Society entitlement programs for what they’ve done to the American black community.

Here we go with another group of anti-American, anti-military Yankees from the “it’s all about ME!!!!!!” generation. A number of people who live near the USS Constitution, that’s “Old Ironsides” for those of you who are a bit on the history-challenged side, have started complaining about the twice daily cannon blasts from the ship. It disturbs the poor wittle whiners. Listen up, children. That cannon firing has been going on for over 200 years. You chose to move into that neighborhood with full knowledge of the cannon firing. If you wanted quiet, you should have moved somewhere else. This is like the idjuts who move to a neighborhood near, or in the flight path of, an airport and complain that there’s too much noise. The Crawfish has been aggravated by this type of dingbat for decades, since his hometown (Dallas) has an airport that’s been in existence since 1917, but the people who have moved into the areas surrounding Love Field since the early 70s have been whining about the aircraft noise ever since. If the source of the noise predates your arrival into the area, you have no valid complaint.

If the Bush Administration had fired an agency Inspector General because he found some shady activities in the agency he oversaw involving some friends of the President, and then the Administration had documents regarding that firing shredded, the media would be all over it and there would be 73 different committee and sub-committee hearings before the television cameras on Crapitol Hill. On the other hand, if this scenario is played out under the Obama Administration all we hear is the sound of crickets.

Sometimes you’ve just gotta shake your head in amazement of the sheer chutzpah of some liberal organizations. ACORN has been involved in election fraud for years, is under investigation regarding embezzlement and many other crimes in a bunch of states, and got smoked by the couple posing as a p imp and a prostitute in multiple offices. As a result, Congress cut off all federal funds going to that organization. Now ACORN has filed a federal lawsuit to get all of that taxpayer money so they can continue their criminal enterprise in support of the Democratic Party.

It is quite amusing to see someone get caught in their own lies. Since Barack Obama is a serial liar, it is not that difficult to find evidence of him supporting one position to a certain group of people, only to vehemently oppose that same position at a later time. A number of readers seemed to find this video about the same time as I did, and we all had the same reaction. It is a quality “D’OH!” moment, as during the campaign The Chosen One attacks Hillary! for her support of health insurance mandates. So what’s his position today? Hmmmm?

Top 10 Ways to Honor a Veteran

1. Display an American flag. Hang one from your house, attach one to your car or set one on your desk at work. Displaying our country’s flag conveys the utmost sense of pride for America and those who have defended it.

2. Honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Visit the final resting places of those who came before you to defend freedom, whether at a local or national cemetery. Place an American flag near their graves or leave flowers to show your gratitude.

3. Visit the veterans in your life. Thank them for their service to America and ask them if they have any stories about their military service that they would like to share with you. There’s nothing as gratifying as knowing that somebody you know genuinely cares about your life experiences.

4. Call your distant friends and relatives who are veterans. Let them know how much you appreciate the sacrifice they have made for yourself and others. Such a small gesture can make a huge impact, especially since they probably won’t be expecting it.

5. Celebrate Veterans Day. Many local schools host assemblies or other similar events to honor the veterans who live in their communities. By attending such an event you can learn more about the veterans in your community. And there’s just something about hearing a 6th grade trumpeter struggling to hit the high notes of Taps that just makes you proud to be an American.

6. Make a donation in the name of a veteran. Look for military organizations in need of financial assistance, or make a donation to a scholarship fund. Providing opportunities for America’s youth shows that you appreciate those who have made such opportunities available.

7. Teach your kids to appreciate veterans. Tell them about all of the important things veterans have done to ensure their safety. Help them make homemade cards to thank the veterans they know. If any of their family members have served, have your kids interview them about what it was like to serve in the military.

8. Visit a war memorial or local military museum. Celebrate the sacrifices others have made by learning about America’s past struggles. Bring a veteran along so that he or she can share his or her personal experiences with you and your family.

9. Volunteer for a military organization. Contact your local VA or a similar organization that serves the military community and ask them about volunteer opportunities. Many veterans who live in a nursing home or are in a hospital have little or no family members who help or visit them. Volunteering to spend time with these veterans lets them know they are truly appreciated.

10. Wear red, white and blue. Dressing as a proud American is one of the easiest and most contagious ways to show others the pride you have in America and those who have served it, as well as those who continue to do so.

If ya wanna know what kind of mood The Crawfish is in this week, all you need to do is look at the scoreboard. Filthadelphia Illegals 16, Dallas Cowboys 20. “It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood…”

In the aftermath of the Islamic terrorist attack on Ft. Hood, President Obama called for calm and told people to not jump to any conclusions. The unspoken words were “Don’t draw any conclusions about the shooter being muslim, praising muslims who fight Americans, was known by many for his spreading of anti-American propaganda and beliefs, telling a neighbor that morning that ‘I’m going to do good work for God,’ had been trying for months to get in contact with Al-Qaeda, and shouting ‘Allahu Akbar!’ as he was shooting. Islam had nothing to do with it. Blame America and apologize to the muslim world for causing this unfortunate act.” Contrast this to his immediate condemnation of Cambridge Police Sergeant James Crowley, who arrested a black man breaking into a house in a mostly-white neighborhood. This man will support his father’s race and religion every chance he gets.

After making his shout-out to a Medal of Freedom awardee, whom he misidentified as a Medal of Honor awardee, the President made his quick half-hearted statement about the Ft. Hood massacre, then went off to celebrate the occasion at Camp David. Meanwhile, George and Laura Bush immediately went to Ft. Hood to give their condolences and support…WITHOUT a trail of media folks behind them. At least SOMEONE knows how to act Presidential.

General Casey, the Army Chief of Staff is concerned about possible backlash against muslim troops, saying “It would be a shame — as great a tragedy as this was — it would be a shame if our diversity became a casualty as well.” It is exactly that kind of thinking that is ruining our nation. Quit concerning yourselves with the things that divide our people (diversity) and start concentrating on the things that UNITE us. THAT is where our strength as a nation and as our armed forces lies.

The American press is helping the President by ignoring the fact that this was an act of Islamic terrorism. The shooter even had ties to a cleric who was the spiritual advisor to some of the 9-11 hijackers, but to get that story you must go to the BRITISH press, or visit Michelle (***sigh***) Malkin’s website where she has even more on the subject.

Some of the press is even questioning the shooter’s muslim credentials, pointing out that he frequented a strip club near the base. That’s not unusual. There are reports that the 9-11 hijackers frequented strip clubs before their Islamic terrorist mission. Then again, notice that the headline for the story refers to the “Alleged” shooter, and most of the news stories about him say “shooting suspect” as if they don’t want to admit that he did it.

The Crawfish can’t wait until the shooter’s PowerPoint presentation from his residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center gets fully released to the public. From what the Washington Post reports, the presentation, titled “The Koranic World View As It Relates to Muslims in the U.S. Military”, should have been the ultimate red flag of red flags that this guy needed to be kicked out of the Army and airdropped into Iran. It also shows what the mindset is of the true Followers of the False Pedophilic Prophet and why they can never be trusted. They are muslims first, and whatever nationality they claim second, and Sharia Law dictates that “Fighting to establish an Islamic State to please God, even by force, is condoned by the Islam…Muslim Soldiers should not serve in any capacity that renders them at risk to hurting/killing believers unjustly.”

You see, it is perfectly okay and politically correct to offend Christians, members of the Armed Forces, and white folks, but completely verboten to offend the Religion of Perpetual Outrage.

Will we ever admit the truth that we are in a religious war of extermination, and have been for over 1300 years? Not as long as political correctness rules the roost in the United States and the rest of the western civilized world.

Have I mentioned lately what a bunch of bloodthirsty, 7th century savages the cult known as Islam is made up of? How about a little reminder for those folks who believe the propaganda put forth by the terrorist-supporting CAIR and other “respected” mouthpieces for the muslims. A 33-year-old man in Somalia was publicly stoned to death for the horrific crime of…dare I say it…it’s really terrible…adultery. His girlfriend is lucky. She gets to live. Well, she gets to live until the baby is born. Then she gets to be stoned to death.

Another muslim terrorist is in the news this week, as the DC sniper will be executed on Tuesday. Yes, CAIR, one of your defendees will get his eternal nap and the elevator ride to Hell. The Crawfish hopes they put some bacon grease in the IV before the killing drugs. The Supreme Court announced that they will not stop the execution, which begs a Constitutional question involving every single death penalty case out there. If this is a STATE case concerning a violation of STATE law, and the perp was convicted and sentenced in a STATE court, then why does the FEDERAL court system have any jurisdiction over the case? It is the federal court system that has prevented the death penalty from becoming a deterrent to violent crime by allowing the perps to live 20, 30 years or more while the federal courts mull over thousands of appeals brought by each condemned perp. The most famous of these cases involves yet another muslim, cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamal.

Meanwhile, the Affirmative Action Attorney General and the FBI Special Agent-In-Charge for the Detruit office will be speaking at and co-hosting, respectively, an awards banquet for a group that includes representation from the Islamic terrorist support group CAIR. Which side is this Administration on?

Just when you thought the Thity of Than Franthithco couldn’t go any farther over the edge, they do this. The idjuts of El Lay might follow suit. Just another reason that I will NEVER live in California.

Bill Owens, who won the NY-23 special election last week, managed to break FOUR of his major campaign promises within ONE HOUR of being sworn into office. Within that hour he: came out in favor of the Pelosiobamacare bill even though he had stated that the public option had no place in any health care bill, decided that cutting Medicare benefits was a good idea after all, agreed that taxing health care benefits is a wonderful way to keep Pelosiobamacare costs down, and discovered raising taxes on the middle class to be a brilliant idea.

Townhall blogger “arik” was gracious enough to bring this article from American Thinker to my attention. It shows that the relationship between the arabs and the Zionist Jews was once a very good one, with promises of peace and great economic development.

Months after the corruption became public, state authorities FINALLY raided the Louisiana headquarters of ACORN and seized their computers. If they have cleaned out those computers by now, they really ARE stoooopid.

Well, it is official. The Pelosiobamacare bill does mandate that all families shell out at least $15,000.00 per year on government-approved insurance plans, and if they at any time do not have such coverage the head of the household faces fines (called an “additional tax” in a vain attempt to make it somewhat Constitutional…EPIC FAIL!) of up to $250,000.00 and prison time of up to 5 years. As soon as they try to imprison someone, the revolution will begin. At least MY Congresscritter, Kay Granger (TX-12) gets it.

The only reason that the Pelosiobamacare bill was able to pass the House was that the Stupak Amendment had been added to it, preventing any federal funding of abortions. That was enough to give cover to 20 or more blue dog Democrats so they could cast YEA votes in good conscience. Of course, the Stupak Amendment will NOT be a part of the final bill, as the Democratic Party leadership is solidly against such a ban on federal funding of infanticide, and at least 40 Democrat members of the House have stated that they will not vote for the bill unless infanticide is funded completely. Nostrildamus Waxman and Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy voted against the amendment on the House floor, and refused to give any kind of pledge to keep it in the final bill. By Monday, the Democrats were already working to remove it from any final bill.

In his pep talk to the Democrats of the House before the vote, The Chosen One reportedly said “Does anybody think that the teabag, anti-government people are going to support them if they bring down health care? All it will do is confuse and dispirit” Democratic voters “and it will encourage the extremists.” Yes, those of us who support the Constitution are “teabag” people and “extremists.” Sorry, Your Majesty, but YOU and the socialists of the Democratic Party are the “extremists” as you try to rip the Constitution of the United States to shreds. If you don’t want to live under our Constitution, feel free to move to a nation that supports your brand of marxist-socialism. We’ll even take some of that “stimulus” money and use it to rent a bunch of U-Hauls for ya.

The one Republican who voted in favor of the Pelosiobamacare bill did so after being offered some bribes from the White House, specifically that the “administration would do more to help with ongoing disaster relief efforts in his New Orleans district, specifically by forgiving millions in disaster loans to the region.” Yes, millions of dollars in more freebies for the leeches of N’awlins. Every single one of those people has already been given free money to the tune of more than I make in 3 years, and it has all been tax-free.

Now that the bill has passed, word is now coming out that the Congressional Budget Office now puts the overall cost of the Pelosiobamacare bill at THREE TRILLION DOLLARS OR MORE over ten years. I thought the White House had set the upper limit at a mere $900,000,000,000.00. Red Nanny’s bill is more than three times that amount!

Do you really want to know some of the things in that bill? Racial quotas are a definite part of it, just to make sure that the Congressional Black Caucus, the not-so-Reverend Wright, the not-so-Reverend Jesse-be-the-Jackson, the not-so-Reverend Al “Tawana Brawley” Sharpton, and President Obama would favor it. In case you’re wondering why AARP is supporting the bill, just notice how Medicare Advantage is gutted. That means seniors will need to buy special insurance plans that cover the “Medicare Gap”, and guess what organization makes most of its money from royalties from exactly that kind of insurance plan.

Barack Obama’s Lord and Master, George Soros, is using his Moveon.org group to actively threaten any Democrat who opposes the Obamacare bills in either the House or the Senate. If this was a conservative group threatening Republicans, it would be the top story on all mainstream news outlets, with cries of “INTOLERANT EXTREMISTS!!!!” ringing out.

“Mork calling Orsen….er, Earth calling Algoracle, come in Your Immenseness! Your Glo-Bull Warming fraud just got another large hole blasted in it below the waterline, as NOAA data shows October 2009 to be the 3rd coolest October on record in the United States. You need some serious damage control on this one.”

Bawney Fwank (D-gay brothels of Taxachusetts) is mocking all of you. He said that arguing with a Pelosiobamacare opponent was like arguing with a dining room table, and that the mass protest on Crapitol Hill last week was like being trapped in a furniture warehouse, and that the protesters were “the losers in the ‘Are you smarter than Michele Bachmann?’ contest.” Yes, it takes SUPREME INTELLIGENCE to be able to have complete ignorance of the Constitution of the United States.

Then again, Bawney has admitted to being severely stooopid. He was at his lover’s house in 2007 when police raided the house, and found marijuana, marijuana plants, bongs, and other paraphernalia. Bawney said he knew nothing of the pot, and that he didn’t know what a pot plant looks like. Yes, his lover smoked a lot of pot and even grew it, but Bawney was surprised that there was pot in the house. Yeah, right, and I’m an Admiral in the US Navy. The real question is why Ol’ Lithpy wasn’t arrested in the raid.

When The Detroit News is pointing out that the Democrats are NOT working on job creation, and are instead actively pushing through legislation to kill jobs in America, you know that the curtain that hides The Great Ozobama is slipping.

If only Homeland Security Ditz Napolitano was as concerned with securing our borders and deporting non-drybacks as she is about possible backlash attacks on muslims in our nation, we might have some SECURITY in our HOMELAND. Besides, any such attacks would not be within her purview anyway.

Wait a minute. I thought the “stimulus” worked and the recession was over. Isn’t that the message we’ve been getting from the White House and all of the liberal pundits? They couldn’t be wrong, right?

The Chicago union thug tactics of the Obama Administration are once again on display. This time, a Democratic consultant who appeared on Fox News received a threatening phone call from a White House official who said, “We’d better not see you on again” while implying that the consultant would start losing clients if he showed his face on Fox News again. Yes, this Administration is actively attempting to manage all news on network and cable television and stifle all dissent. Isn’t that one of the classic signs of a dictatorship?

Speaking of union thug tactics, a state worker in California tried to attend a local SEIU meeting to expose the corruption rampant in that union. Minutes later he was being rushed to the Emergency Room after being beaten by union thugs.

Another Democrat Congresscritter has come out favoring family values…or at least in favor of values for his own family.

20 years ago, November 9, 1989, the communist East German government announced the lifting of travel restrictions between the east and the west. People from both sides ran to the wall in celebration. They climbed the wall - and weren’t killed with bullets in the back for it. They danced on the wall. They tore the wall down. Families and friends were reunited for the first time since the division of the country after the end of World War II.

While the Soviets tried to starve West Berlin into reuniting under the rule of the east, they were kept alive by the heroic efforts of the Berlin Airlifts. If ya ain’t outraged, ya ain’t been payin’ attention!

The Crawfish knows that there are a lot of folks out there who are displeased with the direction in which this country’s government is heading, but they feel helpless to do anything about it. Yeah, there’s blogging, letters to the editor, maybe even a Tea Party or two, but is that really going to matter? To those people I say YES! Keep up the pressure with those activities, but also realize that there are many grassroots efforts underway to help bring about the kind of CHANGE that us Constitutionalists and conservatives want to see. One of those efforts was started by some of the bloggers on Townhall.com. It’s called “We’re Watching You!” That group is doing its part by initially specifically targeting 10 Congressional seats held by Democrats/liberals/enemies of the Constitution (sorry for repeating myself) in the 2010 election cycle, and possibly adding more to the hitlist as their support grows. If they can generate some support, they might be helpful in returning those seats to sane, patriotic, real Americans. It is important that we all get involved with groups like “We’re Watching You!” so that we can take back our nation from the likes of Barack Obama MMM MMM MMM, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer, Barney Frank, John Kerry, and John Murtha. It doesn’t take a lot of time and money, just a bit of dedication to Truth, Justice, and the American Way! Go visit their website and see if you support their efforts.

Fort Hood. Once again the Religion of Peace shows its true colors and demonstrates why no muslim can be completely trusted by a non-muslim. Their so-called religion commands that all non-muslims be converted, enslaved, or put to the sword (or in this case, shot). The shooter was a committed muslim, and even though he was born and raised in the United States, he listed his nationality as PALESTINIAN. Witnesses to the carnage say that the shooter shouted “Allahu Akbar!” as he began firing, which is typical of an Islamic terrorist. His colleagues paint a picture of a muslim who opposed American involvement in the Middle East and said muslims needed to repel the invaders. It’s kinda obvious where his loyalty lies.

Tuesday was a big night for the GOP in America, with the top three positions in Virginia, the Governorship of Noo Joisey, and even a large number of offices in Connecticut (hat tip to Poll Katz e-mailer “Terri”) switching from Democrat control to the Republicans. The state of Maine even made news by becoming the 31st consecutive state to have voters ban heterophobe marriage. This seismic shift was a big blow to the Obama Administration and the Democratic Party, but according to White House Arrogance Secretary Gibbs, the President wasn’t even paying attention to the election returns. The Chosen One spent the whole weekend campaigning for Corzine in Noo Joisey, and then he didn’t pay attention to the results? Does Gibbs actually expect the public to believe that blatant lie?

Speaking of lies from the White House and the Democrats in general, their latest report of jobs “saved” by the “stimulus” bill has even more holes below the waterline and is sinking fast. The report has 935 jobs being saved at a non-profit in Georgia, when only 508 people work there. It seems that raises and benefits increases are counted by these people as “jobs saved” and they even multiply the number of jobs at a company by the percentage raises to inflate their numbers. Then again, these are the same people who say that removing tax cuts, thereby raising taxes, is not a tax increase. Democrat logic and math on full display (the math brought to you by the teachers unions). If you really want to know what’s up with the “stimulus” money, Neal Boortz and Senator Tom Coburn are glad to oblige. You’ll really be shaking your head after you read that one.

I ain’t done yet. Last week, Senator Lieberman came out with a statement saying that he would support the GOP in a filibuster if the Senate Obamacare had a socialist option, er…”consumer option”. Senate Majority leader Dingy Harry Reid then had his minions, er…staff, go out and tell liberal interest groups that he had a deal with Lieberman to actually support the Democrats against a GOP filibuster. Lieberman’s spokesman, Marshall Wittman, had this to say in response to questions about the lies that Reid and his staff were spreading, “If you believe this story is true, you will also believe that I am replacing A-Rod in game six of the series.” He reiterated that “Senator Lieberman’s clear position is that he will vote for the motion to proceed to the health care bill because he supports health care reform that will control costs and insure people who don’t have it now, but will oppose cloture on a final bill if it contains a public option.”

Puh-leeeze tell me y’all saw this lie a mile away. Back in September, Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy said that she was “absolutely” and “without question” committed to posting any Obamacare bill in its entirety online for examination a full 72 hours before any vote. As of Friday afternoon, Red Nanny was pushing for a Saturday afternoon vote on the bill, even though the language was still being worked on by the Democrats. Her nose is getting so long that she can sniff her district from DC.

One major race was not decided on Tuesday, and that would be the mayoral election in Atlanta. The runoff will pit a white female against a black male, and it WILL get ugly. For some Atlanta perspective on the matter, check out what Neal Boortz has to say. I’m sure he’ll have more commentary as the runoff date of December 1st approaches.

Newt Gingrich was on Sean Hannity’s radio and television shows on Wednesday evening, trying to explain away his endorsement of the far-left liberal in the NY-23 special election. While he did admit that his endorsement was a mistake, he put the blame on the 11 Republican county chairs in Noo Yawk who put forth Dede Scozzafava as their preferred candidate. While I agree that those 11 folks should be immediately fired from their positions, I don’t buy Newt’s excuse either. Before you endorse someone, you must know something about that person and their views. A pro-Card Check, pro-union, pro-ACORN, pro-abortion person who is supported by a group, Working Families Party, that is far to the left of Nancy Pelosi simply has no business being endorsed by any Republican. Michael Steele and the RNC didn’t do their homework on this, and it cost them over $900,000.00 in campaign contributions, much embarrassment, a Congressional seat, and (hopefully) their jobs.

Michael Smerconish interviewed Scozzafava on Thursday, and she claimed to be a solid Republican, with a 90+% conservative voting record. That’s highly doubtful, but it was enough for Smerconish to say that the Republicans are making a big mistake by excluding “moderate” and “centrist” Republicans. Sorry, Mike, but anyone endorsed by the Working Families Party is not a moderate. They are far left. Besides, when the GOP stands for conservatism, the GOP wins. When the GOP stands for a squishy middle to middle-left, the GOP loses. Pay attention to the results from 1980, 1984, 1992, 1994, 1996, 2006, and 2008.

The Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, Senator John Cornyn, seems to have gotten the message from the NY-23 debacle. The “GOP establishment” gave Charlie “I’ve got a great tan” Crist an endorsement in the Senate race in Florida because he asked for it, but the NRSC is NOT going to get actively involved in the battle for the nomination, pitting “moderate” Crist against conservative Marco Rubio.

The Obama Administration is continuing its kowtowing to Islam and its war against Israel. SecState Hillary! is touring muslim lands, meeting with/sucking up to arab leaders, and reiterating that the current American government doesn’t want Israel to halt settlement construction, but rather to end it forever, saying that the US does not recognize the legitimacy of Israeli settlements in the West Bank. What kind of illegal drug is she smoking? The West Bank, Gaza Strip, and Golan heights are rightfully Israeli property as of the end of the 1968 war in which the arabs tried to exterminate Israel. Israel can do whatever it wants with that property. This is kinda like China objecting to any new American housing projects in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California because that land used to belong to Mexico. Once again, The Crawfish must ask why American Jews continue to back the Democratic Party.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Navy intercepted a ship filled with munitions for the Islamic terrorist group Hizzbollah, including Katyusha rockets and anti-aircraft batteries, and the Islamic terrorist group Hamas has acquired Iranian-made rockets with the range to strike Tel Aviv. With all of this terrorist activity, the Obama Administration continues to say that Israel is the bad guy in the Middle East?

I think we may have found another 25-year-old supporter of Barack Obama, in the form of Eric Hunt of Archbald, PA. This moron has filed suit in Broward County, Florida (surprise, surprise), against an 80-year-old survivor of Auschwitz-Birkenau, asking for “not less than $60 million” for spreading lies about a Holocaust that he claims never happened in order to further the Jewish agenda. A few years ago, Hunt assaulted Nobel Peace Prize awardee (this one was valid) Elie Weisel in an elevator, but got a minimal sentence from a liberal judge. Somebody puh-leeeze stuff this guy into a deep, dark hole until his brain is fully functional.

Here’s yet another update from the Religion of Perpetual Outrage, proving once again that they really are sub-human. Are their any rebuttals from CAIR?

I know it ain’t really necessary, but I’ve got another example of the stooooopidity and intolerance from the Followers of the Pedophilic False Prophet. People who have a choice actually join this so-called religion voluntarily? Look for Minnesota’s Representative Keith Ellison to make those regulations part of Congressional legislation in the near future.

Y’all probably thought that the anti-Constitution stands of the Democrats for Year One of the Reign of His Majesty King Barack I would be limited to “stimulus” bills, bailouts, federal takeovers of auto manufacturing companies, Obamacare, and Crrap-and-Tax. No, my young Padawans, they’ve got lots more up their sleeves. Take Pennsylvania’s Paul Kanjorski, for example. He wants to give federal regulators the power to force large companies to break themselves up into smaller entities. Kanjorski knows that there are Constitutional limitations on the powers of the federal government, but responds “limited power… its not clearly defined. We’re going to be evident in the power.” Yes, ladies, gentlemen, and otherwise…you read it correctly. He’s another Democrat who believes that the Constitution is an optional document.

It appears that the Chicago Tribune has been reading the blog of one of The Crawfish’s Townhall readers, Patriot 76. I knew him when he was just a wee blogger…

Townhall commenter “buck” hit the nail on the head when responding to another of the Townhall blogs. He wrote, “That get voted out of office by the ‘astroturf’ will understand they are STILL out of office whether they call us astroturf, rubes, hayseeds or just rednecks clinging to guns and religion. What they should have called us is: ‘Boss’”

While the Democrats put forth a 1,990 page monstrosity of a bill to overhaul the health care programs of our nation, they ridicule the Republicans as having never put forth any plan of their own, as if they’d even bring up a Republican idea for discussion. Well, the GOP is FINALLY starting to return fire, and here is a video and plan outline from House Minority Leader Boehner. The plan outlined includes a number of items that The Crawfish and other conservatives have been hollering for all year long, such as tort reform and the ability to purchase insurance plans across state lines without mandates for coverage items that are not needed (a family of a husband and wife who cannot have any more kids and have a single son do not need obstetrics coverage, but most states mandate that coverage in all family plans). Here’s the summary, in a one-page pdf file, and here is the whole House GOP bill, which at 219 pages is only 11% the size of the P-Lousy Obamacare bill.

How much pure stoooopidity is in the Pelosi Obamacare bill? Well, just check out what it has to say about vending machines. Then again, the last time I checked, the only thing that vending machines had to do with health care was that they are usually located in or near hospital waiting rooms.

Remember when the idjut Congresscritter from Florida said that the GOP health care plan was for sick folks to “die quickly”? Well, it appears that the DEMOCRAT plan for uninsured sick people is for them to “Die within six months!” See? I can play that game, too.

Townhall commenter “clyde” sent in this story that’s bound to have y’all shaking your heads and wondering about the sanity of some people. How bad does a guy have to be with the ladies to do this repeatedly? The lady shoulda just shot him.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! It now appears that The Crawfish was ahead of the times when I started calling a certain truth-challenged gasbag “The Prophet Algoracle.” Newsweek’s science editor now has an article out calling him an “Eco-Prophet” while managing to completely ignore all evidence showing that the earth has been in a cooling cycle for a decade. Why bother with facts when there’s an agenda to prop up? The Goracle has now even gone to the point of comparing Glo-Bull Warming to the Civil Rights Movement. To quote that Great American Bugs Bunny, “What a maroon!”

What does it say about the priorities of the Obama White House when General McChrystal, SecDef Gates, and US Trade Representative Ron Kirk have a hard time getting face time with The Boss, but SEIU chief Andy Stern and socialist puppet master George Soros can get seen immediately whenever they happen to be in the area? Whoever sent that e-mail…thanx!

Regular Claw contributor “beachmom” found an editorial column at, of all places, PRAVDA, about a couple of Russian lesbians who travelled to Canada to get “married” in order to force Russia to change their marriage laws.

Syndicated columnist Cal Thomas asks one of the questions that The Crawfish is known for screaming. Does the 10th Amendment really mean anything, and can it save us from our current leadership?

On November 4, 1979, thousands of Iranian students, overran the US Embassy and took about 90 people captive. The non-Americans were freed. Later, some were freed, including the women (except for two) and blacks (except for one), on the grounds that they were unlikely to be spies and had suffered enough with the oppression of the Americans. Another hostage was released in July 1980 due to illness. 52 hostages were held for 444 days. Six others had escaped and taken refuge at other embassies. On January 28, 1980, Canadian diplomats helped these six to flee Iran. The Canadian Embassy was then closed.

Thousands of other protesters pressed around the embassy compound, responding to the call by the country’s new leader, Ayatollah Khomeini, to attack US and Israeli interests. They demanded the return of the shah, Muhammad Reza Pahlevi, for trail and execution.

President Carter eventually halted oil imports from Iran, imposed a complete economic embargo, froze Iranian assets in the US and began diplomatic efforts to free the remaining hostages.

The hostages were finally released on January 20, 1981, moments after President Reagan was inagurated.

Today, the US Embassy in Iran serves as a museum to the revolution. It was opened in 2001. Outside the door are two bronze statues: the Statue of Liberty and a portrayal of one of the hostages. It is still the stage for angry demonstrations to chant anti-US and anti-Israeli slogans and to burn flags and effigies.
