Hey guys,
I'm 23 years old and interested in joining the Air Force but the thing I'm concerned about is that I know they'll ask if I have been hospitalized, which I have sometime between the ages of 6-9. According to my mom it was caused by a seizure. I haven't had a seizure ever since. My problem is that I don't remember which hospital I went to at that time and I don't have any records on me. I have tried contacting all of the nearby hospitals but none of them have me on file. Since it happened so long ago and I can't find anything on it, do I still need to disclose it or is there anything else I can do about it? Thanks.

I would admit (if asked) to being hospitalized as a child, and simply state that you do not know what it was for and that the hospitals still in existance in your area have no record of you being admitted.

Tell them what you know for sure...not what you've heard even from your mom. You have not been re-hospitalized for any reason since, so it probably won't matter.
They ask these questions to help with disability claims when you get out as well as to aid in treating you should you get injured or fall ill while in the service.
