Please check the link above in regards to Special Forces and Lt Col Kate Wilder.  I guess they did not bow to her threat of litigation.  The storm seems to be picking up speed.   Also Ms Wilder is running or will be running for office.

Paul post seems to be exactly "spot on".  Again why the threat of intimidation if a person is 5 by 5?

Whatever shall we do with our LTC?

Is this thread about phoney's?

Or an I on the wrong thread?

Woops, they didn't bow to the threat of litigation?

How ever is one to become General?

The Parade Begins.

Answer a few questions and in minutes find out what VA benefits you qualify for. Don't wait any longer to take advantage of the Veteran benefits you have earned, including VA Home Loans.

Doug, I thought of that too, but what would be reason?  Considering what transpired, I think the person was who they said they where.  Even more so when you look at the controversy of being a Green Beret.

There is still more information coming out at ProfessionalSoldier.com.   Some has to do with the changes over time how a person became a Green Beret and all that goes with it. Stuff they never covered in the movie "The Green Berets".  Opps that was made in the 60's,   lots of changes sence then.

I just can't wait to see what pop's up next.

It is Halloween so I expect to see some more people dressed up as soldiers.

Well got to go hand out candy.

Had my suspicions from the get go with our friend.

Hello everyone,
Paul has it exactly right. She would not be welcomed.
* * *
In the quick introduction I've had to this forum, I notice two things:
1 - there is no way to verify the truth in who the poster is - perhaps the moderator may be able to verify the poster - but in my mind, the makeup of the username is a derivation of the real person, so perhaps not real from the start. . . if Kate Wilder were serious about clearing her name, I believe she would use her real name;
2 - as others have observed, no real information or clarification of the real story was forwarded, only a bunch of defensive gibberish that any of us could create by reading any sort of account of the events back then.
Those two items raises a red flag in my mind that the person is not the real individual targeted by the discussion.
The final straw in my mind is her (poster's) reluctance to voice opinions on an SF forum . . . and as observed, again, by others, there are still eye-witnesses to the events of that period and the actual events being discussed.
* * *
It's much ado about nothing - I don't believe the poster was the real deal.

Just my two cents

Sen. Inouye to Lead National Steering Committee

The Clinton campaign today announced the launch of Veterans and Military Retirees for Hillary, a national initiative to highlight Clinton's support of the men and women of our Armed Services. Medal of Honor winner and Hawaii Senator Daniel Inouye will lead the national steering committee, which will advise the campaign on policy and outreach to the 26 million American veterans and their families.

"I have had the privilege of working with Hillary Clinton since 1993, and her depth of experience makes her uniquely qualified to be President," Senator Inouye said. "She has been a tireless advocate for our soldiers and veterans, fighting for life-saving body armor when they deploy, and the healthcare and benefits they deserve when they return home.

"My support of Hillary Clinton does not take away from, or speak any less of, the other Democratic Presidential candidates. They are all outstanding leaders, and, in fact, some are personal family friends. There is an excitement present among Democrats as we look ahead to the Presidential campaign, and a retaking of the White House on behalf of working families in 2008. I look forward to a vigorous campaign, and I believe Hillary Clinton is the best prepared to deal with the challenges facing our nation at home and abroad."

Clinton has been a longtime advocate for veterans, calling attention to Gulf War Syndrome as First Lady, and leading efforts in Congress to provide life-saving armor for our troops and their vehicles in Iraq. She recently proposed a new GI Bill of Rights, which would expand opportunities for veterans to pursue education and home ownership and provide low-interest loans to start their own businesses. Her bill would also cut red tape for military personnel to receive the benefits and the healthcare they need, and crack down on predatory lenders who target military families.

"The challenge for our nation now is complex -- we need a candidate who understands the issues and can get things done. Senator Clinton is the candidate," said Congressman Joe Sestak, a former three-star Admiral and 31-year Navy veteran.

"Hillary Clinton is a strong leader who can protect our nation while rebuilding our relationships abroad," said Retired Army Lt. General Kennedy, the first woman to be appointed a three-star General. "Her life-long commitment to health care and better lives for children, along with her commitment to America's men and women in uniform and veterans, makes her well suited to be our next President."

Korean War veteran and Purple Heart recipient Congressman Charlie Rangel said, "I've worked closely with Hillary Clinton as a Senator and First Lady, and I've seen firsthand her commitment to veterans and their families. She has the experience and toughness to lead this nation from her first day in the Oval Office."

Hillary's growing Steering Committee includes veterans of World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Joining Hillary's Steering Committee today:

U.S. Senator Daniel Inouye (Hawaii)
Veteran, World War II Combat Veteran, Recipient: Medal of Honor

Kate served our country with distinction, retiring from the U.S. Army as a Lieutenant Colonel and settling down in Northern Virginia.
While in the Army, Kate broke down barriers, overcame abuse and harrassment to become the first woman Green Beret in Army history. Just to put this in perspective, President Kennedy once said "the green beret is a symbol of excellence, a badge of courage, and a mark of distiction in the fight for freedom

Lanon Baccam (Iowa)

Joe Wynn (District of Columbia)

Considering the total number of veterans, you'd think that they could come up with a longer list.  I fail to see the appeal Hillary has for vets.  Heck even Kerry had high cred than hillary.

Kate Wilder (Virginia)
Veteran, Female Green Beret

She Never served in an SF unit and was NEVER awarded the "Green Beret".  She was termed "Qualified" for the Special Forces but NEVER went through the formal training, Post Q Course training, and, again, NEVER served as a Special Forces Professional.

Lady you in my opinion are a phony. you display yourself as a true SF operator ane in my opinion thats a crock. as far as waiting for the book to get questions answered, if someone gave it to me free I wouldnt even consider it for toilet paper.

Disclamer; this in my opinion and its opinion only noting in the above post is to be taken as fact just my opinion. and covered by the 1st amendment.

I'm really sorry that all of the vets that are supporting anti-military Hillary cannot see her for what she is and how she, like her husband goes with the popularity flow on issues instead of doing what needs to be done.  Anyone who has served in the Military knows that they are generally unappreciated by the majority of people who live the lifestyle that the Military protects.  Hillary is a great threat to all of us, Military or Civilian.

well to be fair and balanced...it is quite natural to assume that there is something rotten in demark...since it is very common knowledge women are not allowed in combat arms by US law...and this seems to be an unheard of one time excemption, not sure how she got it.

if she completed the class does that make her a SF or does being on a team???

I completed fire fighter training but I never fought a fire...does that make me a fire fighter?

I went with what the "experts" at the SF website I cited said.  if I tell you pigs can fly because I have the one pig in the history of the world that can fly and no one knows about it...it is quite natural for everyone else to call BS  until I prove it.

My opinions expressed are all well reasoned and insightful  needless to say they are my own crazy ramblings...

The Hildabeast is done for.  Planted questions, the flip floping in the last debate, playing the woman card then saying she wasnt, campaign fundraising fraud, threatening wolf blitzer...it goes on and on and on.  Im embarassed that any military people would suport such s sad sack of a canidate.

You may be premature in your optimism.  Remember the Impeachment.  These two are here to stay, you can bet on it.

Doug,
I have fear because I live on my VA pension and SS.
All the candidates have such a socialistic bent that I am concerned I may need a sleeping bag so I can camp out on a off ramp begging for food.

Yeah, that is extreme but you get the idea.  wink

At least on the free way off ramp,  we would all be in good company.

If you graduated then yes you are qualified as a fire fighter. If you feel you are not qualified as a fire fighter then maybe you should take the course once again. Be fortunate that you never at least you state never fought a fire.
