Dear Football Aficionados,
Wow, lets talk about the so-called officiating of the game for a moment. First, the Patriots set a team record for penalized yards. Second, is there anyone here that doesn’t believe the umpires were paid off in the Colts favor? I’ve been watching football for a very long time, and other than a couple of illegal procedure calls and the leg whipping call against Matt Light--those umpires were in the Colts’ hip pocket all game long. Every one of those passing play calls should have either been a non call or at the very least a call favoring the Patriots. Blatant pay off job for sure.
I’m not whining here, for our beloved Patriots came through in the end thanks to the game’s greatest quarterback scoring 14 unanswered points with 9 minutes left in a hostile setting against a paid off umpiring squad.
Did anyone see Manning crying on the bench as Brady weaved his late game magic? It wasn’t just sweat on cry baby Manning’s face that we all got to see. That, and watching Brady blast the umpires during his kneel down session with seconds ticking down were perhaps the two most satisfying scenes of the game. Woops, did you also notice the more than icy look and handshake by Dungi after the game was over? How classy was that, Griff?
I guess all that Griff could hope for now is that his Cowboys get past Green Bay to represent the inferior NFC team against the Patriots in the super bowl. And if they do get there, is there anyone here that thinks the Cowboys wouldn’t get embarrassed again by the super Patriots?
Dear Julie, I haven’t forgotten you. Excuse me for not getting back to you sooner, but I have tragic news to report. I met a female sports nut at this super bar in Boston last night. She’s about my age (old); we hit if off rather nicely, and we have become an item. Hope you won’t mind if I continue to flirt with you here while my real honey is working the 9-5 shift. Someone has to bring in the dough, thus giving me the time to keep up these very important cyber appearances.

ptsd,
Unbelievable dude. The Pats win and you complain about the officiating? You know what happened? For the first time this year the officiating crew did not come into the game afraid that if they called something on the Pats they would get fired. For the first time all year the Pats penalties were actually called. For the first time all year the Pats were not given free reign to do what they want. Although it is still blatantly apparent that if you are a defensive back, you MUST let Randy Moss catch the ball or pass interference will be called. (even when he does catch the ball). You know what was funny? Watching Tom Brady act like a 5 yr old in a toy store after his mommy tells him he can't have the Power Ranger doll. I mean come on Tom. All your fans keep reminding me this is professional football. Well guess what Tommy Boy. Adults play professional football. Quit crying and get back in the huddle.
By the way, we'll take care of the fluky Packers and Giants. You guys do your part and we will be more than happy to meet you in Phoenix. We'll be there, will you? LMAO

Julie,
I have tried to be nice and keep getting attacked. I'm just trying to have fun talking smack with fellow football fans. Some people can't stand it though. Oh well.

I just thought everyone could help pass the word on this cause.
Win Patriots/Ravens tickets raffle that includes airfare. I think this link will work. If not, google Homes for Our Troops Veterans Day Raffle.

Of course they're an inferior football team, as they were trounced by one of the remaining two superior teams in the NFL--that being of course the Patriots, and we all saw what the Pats did to the Colts as well. If you've kept up with professional sports of late Griff (which you obviously haven't)--you would have recognized that the American league in baseball, and the American football conference in pro-football are the two superior leagues as the World Series and the Super Bowl winners come from those two conferences respectively almost every year.
Btw, whatever happened to Tio's media session after the Cowboys/Patriots game? What happened, just another embarrasing no-show I suppose.
It is ashamed that an inferior NFC team has to be represented in the super bowl. Methinks the sports experts, team owners and players should pick the two AFC teams that everyone would love to see matched up together, i.e. the Pats/Colts should be playing in the big game, at least until the NFC can draft some talent and create some respectibility in their junior league.

ptsd,
You should do standup. Granted the AFC has produced the SB winners of late. And since you are talking about the past we can talk about the 14 or so straight years the NFC won the SB. Dude, the Cowboys have lost 1, ONE, game. We did lose to the Pats who were better, THAT DAY. Be careful young football genius. While you were drooling in your Gerber baby food in 1989 I was watching an 0-10 Dallas Cowboys team walk into RFK Stadium in Washington, DC and beat a 10-0 Washington Redskins team that everyone was talking about going undefeated. We go through this EVERY year. One team is undefeated and everyone talks about the Dolphins, etc. A few years ago it was the Colts, until week 14 when they lost their first game. On Any Given Sunday dude. And trust me, I will be here to let you know all about your inferior one loss team when they lose that first game. And they will. I got money on it.

Oh yeah, and the Pats BARELY beat the Colts. Don't pretend that was some kind of dominating victory.
