Exelon is currently looking for Operation Shift Supervisors (Senior Reactor Operator -Initial Licensing Class) at are Dresden Generating Station located in Morris, IL.

Candidate must be able to start by April 20, 2009.

Note to Navy Nuclear candidates. You will be asked to provide 2 of the 3 following documents: occupation/training awards history, DD214 (short form) or fitness and counseling evaluations that show qualification dates.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The primary function of this position is to direct safe and efficient operations by supervising, controlling and coordinating activities and plant evolutions with emphasis on safety and adherence to established regulations and standards of performance.

Direct the supervision of operations in-field and control room activities, and perform pre/post job briefs. Maintain and improve Human Performance. Will be Fire Brigade Leader and Hazmat Coordinator. Support the outages and teams as necessary.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Supervise, control, coordinate, and provide training on plant evolutions.
2. Coordinate and control maintenance and testing activities.
3. Administer Operations processes (Clearance and tagging, caution card, etc).
4. Analyze complex plant activities and evolutions to provide proper operations focus and ensure error-free performance.
5. Ensure completion of scheduled activities.
6. Investigate off-normal system/plant status to correctly diagnose and correct problems.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Required:

1 year Reactor Operator License at a Nuclear BWR facility
OR
1.5 years as a Reactor Operator License at a Nuclear PWR facility
OR
2 years position equivalent to Reactor Operator (or Supervisor) at a military reactor (Power Plant Watch Engineer, Engineering Watch Supervisor, Reactor Operator, Engineering Officer of the Watch, or Propulsion Plant Watch Supervisor)
OR
BS or equivalent in engineering, engineering technology or physical sciences and 3+ years qualified non-licensed/Equipment Operator.

POSITION SCOPE

The Operations Shift Supervisor acts as a decision-making authority during the shift to provide instructions and guidance to operation personnel to ensure plant operations are conducted in an effective, safe, and consistent manner in accordance with the operating licenses, plant procedures, regulatory requirements, and established standards.
