USAA is currently seeking a talented Member Relationship Specialist - Property & Casualty Insurance for our January training classes in our Tampa, FL location.
As a Member Relationship Specialist - Property & Casualty Insurance for USAA, you will provide policy service to members for existing auto and property policies requiring licensure. You will contribute to property and casualty business goals through cross selling and relationship building initiatives.
Job Duties:
- Provides initial response to all service requests for existing Auto and Property policies including related billing questions and internet troubleshooting as appropriate. Updates member/customer's policies, sets expectations, summarizes call, follows through and brands USAA, as appropriate.
- Listens to and converses with members/customers to understand needs. Establishes rapport, recognizes life events and identifies coverage exposures and gaps where additional USAA products may be needed.
- Educates members/customers on the benefits of USAA personal lines insurance products/pricing/services. Gains member/customer's agreement for referral to appropriate area for P&C and enterprise solutions.
- Performs underwriting analysis to evaluate risk acceptability and determine appropriate product pricing for adjustments to and renewals of existing Auto and Property policies. May handle complex rating, coverage, or complaints when appropriate.
*Availability to work any day Monday-Friday from 7:30AM - 6:00PM and a definite Saturday between 8:00AM - 4:30PM for a full time, 4 day, 38-hour work week.40 or 38-hour work week schedules (38 Hour 4 day work schedule: Three 10-hour days + 8 hours Saturdays. Not eligible for USAA designated holiday pay. Adjusted PTO accrual rate). 30% Shift Premium pay (work scheduled: after 6pm, M-F & Saturdays).Ability to attend up to 8 weeks of paid structured classroom training. Training hours will vary between 8:00AM - 4:30PM Monday - Friday, with a licensing test during the second week on either Friday or Saturday.*
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of customer service/sales experience OR Bachelors degree OR Successful completion of military service OR 1 year customer service/sales experience plus 30 hours of college credits.
- 1+ years of experience multi-tasking in a Windows operating system environment.
- 1+ years of experience frequently communicating (minimum 60% of the time) with customers by phone, e-mail and/or face to face.
- Current license or ability to obtain within a designated number of attempts (if applicable).
Preferred:
- 2 years of customer service experience in a relationship building environment.
- Contact/Call Center experience.
- Experience cross selling or up-selling products.
- 1+ years of experience working in a problem resolution/analytical environment.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
