Position Summary:
The Customer Service Representative provides administrative support for members of Senior Management as needed and direct accounts receivable support to the Director of Reimbursement. The Customer Service Representative will participate in billing and claims processing and resolution; have regular communication with Delta customers and act as a liaison between Delta and its’ business agencies. This position requires an individual who is professional, customer focused, displays excellence in customer service and promotes respect, care and dignity for all internal and external customers; facilitates a team oriented attitude striving continuously for service excellence.
Essential/Primary Functions:
1. Provides ambulance service billing data entry and patient account follow up.
a. Completes data entry and compliance documentation for patient review studies.
b. Utilizes remote access systems such as the internet to send claims electronically,
e-mail and other external and internal resources to verify insurancecoverage,
eligibility and claim status information.
c. Edits and releases claims for insurance carriers on all patient accounts for insurance
carriers incluiding self-pay for each specific patient account.
2. Greets visitors and staff, provides them with general information or assistance. Deals effectively with a variety of personalities and situations requiring judgement and poise.
3. Provides administrative support to senir management on an as needed basis.
4. Maintains strict confidentiality of all patient information.
5. Performs other duties as instructed or assigned.

Minimum Requirements for the Position:
[x] High School diploma or general education diploma (GED)
[x] Customer service experience preferably in a medical office environment.
[x] Ability to operate computerized programs, software applications and office equipment proficiently.
[x] Demonstrated skills in proper phone etiquette, English usage, spelling, and punctuation
