We are currently seeking a talented ATM Transaction Technical Engineer for our San Antonio, TX facility.
PURPOSE OF JOB
Responsible for the efficiency of the daily operations for debit and credit card processing and the ATM network; is a functional expert on initiatives and projects relating to credit and debit card processing as well as the ATM and associated settlement systems. Provides functional guidance in evaluating and maintaining card processing and evaluates requests for proposals and products related to these systems. Understands association (MasterCard, VISA, AMEX, and regional PIN networks) rules and maintains knowledge; ensures compliance with policies/ procedures, and regulatory requirements applicable to the credit card and banking industry.
Works under minimal supervision and work is completed independently. Makes decisions to resolve issues regarding recovery with card processing to minimize member impact with production system outages. Serves as a resource to less experienced team members on escalated issues of a routine nature.
Applies Functional knowledge of card processing systems, structure, ATM's and related applications. Performs moderately COMPLEX to COMPLEX Work assignments and problem resolution.
Ensures card processing environment is stable by reviewing vendor and USAA releases and implementations. Develops and implements strategies to enhance card processing; reviews all regulatory related items that relate to card processing to ensure USAA remains in compliance.
Has Functional knowledge of structure of card processing systems, ATM's and related applications. Ensures card processing environment is stable by reviewing vendor and USAA releases and implementations.
Provides oversight to the business and technical teams during outage situations and during project and mod initiatives.
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent work experience).
- 4+ years related industry experience to include working knowledge of card processing systems.
- Advanced understanding of card transaction flows and technology related to card platforms.
- Knowledge of system settings that drive business rules.
- Network and Association rules and regulations.
- Ability to work with Vendors.
- Schedule includes occasionally working nights/weekends.
- Detailed knowledge of card, deposit, and ATM operations including transaction and settlement flows.
- Demonstrated success in planning, organizing, and implementing efforts.
- Conversion experience helpful.
- Strong working knowledge of applicable systems including Fidelity Systematics and card systems.
- ATM knowledge and experience; awareness of best practices.
- Working knowledge of bank regulations.
- Technical skills including EZTrieve, SPF.
