Provide Tier II trouble call support for both hardware and COTS/GOTS software on shipboard IT systems on 200+ Military Sealift Command (MSC) ships.  Coordinate Tier II support tasks with the MSC Global Service Desk through use of the Remedy incident management tool.  Provide accurate feedback information in Remedy of the status of all trouble calls.  Conduct remediation of Information Assurance Vulnerability Management Notices including, Alerts, Bulletins and Technical advisories and installation of all IA-related operating system and application patches.

Qualifications :

The successful candidate requires a bachelor's degree and seven years of experience with IT systems, networks, and applications and experience with one project in the last three years.  Experience with Tier II support for shipboard systems and Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II certification are also required. Experience with U.S. Navy or MSC IT systems; familiarity with Remedy; and possession of MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, or Solaris certification are desired.

Security Requirements:
Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance. * Candidates for this position will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship required. No travel required.
