| Description : | This is an exempt position requiring the management and facilitation of Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) initiatives. The role includes providing technical training, planning work and directing work, advising and overseeing new installations of CBM equipment, advising and overseeing CBM data collection activities, and performing field repairs on CBM equipment at Ft. Irwin, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:include the following.

- Maintains program liaison with local customer management, periodic status briefings, etc.
- Requests all necessary logistical support from the Program Manager (PM) and customer.
Notify the PM and customer of installation/repair/data collection activity, advise CBM Technicians at fielded unit sites, when necessary, and submit travel requests.
- Assure that all program directives are adhered to.
- Assure all corporate policies and procedures are properly adhered to.
CBM Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in the coordination and monitoring of CBM data collection on all vehicle variants within the continental United States (CONUS) and/or outside the continental United States (OCONUS) including Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).
- This includes working with CBM Technician personnel to identify and induct new units with target vehicle variants and may require frequent travel within CONUS and OCONUS.
- Coordinate and perform installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, monitoring, downloading, and transmission of all CBM data on all vehicle variants throughout CONUS and OCONUS.
- Provide units with periodic feedback to help with maintenance decisions/planning with respect to CBM.
- Provide a detailed weekly summary of collection efforts and CBM activities (fieldings, battle-loss, materiel lessons learned, etc.)
- Provide training to on-site Data Monitors at each installation site for CBM system interface and data download
- Facilitate hardware/software configuration management across all CBM systems
- Coordinate hardware/software/firmware configurations to meet data collection needs.
Additional Duties:
- Read and understand the Employee's Manual, personnel policies and procedures, and advise personnel of same.
- Notify the PM of actual or potential problems concerning the program itself and the systems being monitored.
- Assure that all personnel can be notified in the event of an emergency when away from normal place of work.
- Coordinate with PM to mitigate potential data collection problems when a CBM Technician will be absent from his unit or workplace for circumstances beyond his control (i.e., sick, death in family, or other prolonged absences) and assure the collection/submittal of CBM data from the unit is complete.
- Maintain a complete file on applicable regulations, circulars and policies.
- Assure that all personnel have read and understand the Field Procedures Guides plus corporate policies.
- QC all data sent to PM/customer.
- Edit and review all CBM reports.
- Provide on-site training of field personnel.
- Host and brief all off-site visitors reviewing CBM site operations as requested.
- Obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.
- Counsels CBM Technicians annually and sets priorities for all sites.
- Approve CBM Technicians' timesheets and monitor vacation scheduling of employees.
- Moves people within region and coordinates with other regions to assist in surges and working backlogs.
- Ensures timely and complete data submission for all sites.
- Represents Program Manager at site visits in the event the Program Manager cannot attend.
- Execute and monitor the management directives of the Program Manager.
- Provide primary liaison between program personnel and PM.
- Understand Statement of Work (SOW) and fulfilling contract requirements.
- Attend periodic phone conferences.
- Host and brief all off-site visitors reviewing CBM site operations as requested.
- Obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.
- Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Assist the PM in evaluation of employee CBM activities at each site.
- Monitors and supervises the CBM Technician.

Education and/or Experience:
- Associates degree preferred in a technically oriented area; relevant work experience may be substituted. Status of completion of - Associate Degree may also be considered.
- 8-10 years experience in Maintenance Management or a related field.
- Hands-on mechanical maintenance experience involving installation and repair of hardware/electronics.
- Experience or education in computer capabilities, requirements and benefits.
- Superior oral and writing skills must be demonstrated.
- Experience in project management and coordination.
Mathematical Skills:
- Must have the ability to use basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, discounts, and proportions to practical situations.
- Must understand engineering units, conversions, measurement principles, trend analysis, statistical processes, etc.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Must have the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other Job-related Skills:
- Ability to work well with others (co-workers, business clients, company employees, customers).
